Antiquated Brindleton

An 1890s Decades Challenge Save File

This save has been almost a year in the making, but it's finally here! It includes a completely rebuilt Brindleton Bay inspired by historic New England towns and set in the 1890s. This save uses a light amount of historical cc and most of the packs.

Includes:

Eight new residential lots

Seven new community lots

Six new households

Builds and households are all located in Brindleton Bay. The world is intended to be historically accurate to about 1890, though some liberties for functionality have been taken.

Builds in other worlds have been deleted. The necessary buildings, like dorms, active career lots, and the high school, have all been left in place.

Townies have been evicted, but not deleted, as I prefer EA townies to fully randomized townies.

If you’d like more period appropriate townies to add, the lovely @jewishsimming has some great historical ones to download and @cowplant-snacks has an amazing tutorial on how to manage your townies with MCCC.

REQUIREMENTS: I have all the packs except Batuu and some of the kits. I didn’t limit myself when building. I don’t have everything listed out here, but I will be uploading all the lots and households to my gallery, so if you’d like to know specific pack usage you’ll be able to check there. If you load in and things are replaced or missing and you think it looks obvious feel free to message me, I’m always happy to try to help you find something else that fits! This save includes historical CC, some is included in my download in folders and some you will need to download from the creators directly. The CC required is listed and linked below, you need to download these linked pieces in ADDITION to the included cc folders.

Default Map Replacements by Deshayan (if you’d like your map to look like mine does in the preview) DOWNLOAD: There are five zipped folders to download, four of which contain included cc, and one which includes the save itself.

Download the "AB_SaveFile" folder, unzip it and simply move the file inside to your saves folder inside your Sims 4 folder (where your mods folder is located).

The included cc is in four folders (to allow for easier upload/download) for build, buy, clothing, and hair. Simply download the folders, unzip them, and place them in your mods folder.

After this you should be good to load up your game and get playing, let me know if you run into any issues, I'm happy to try to troubleshoot. its a me, a serial history challenge starter!

Wolf and Raven, my ancestors this round. 

I’ve played this era a few times in my many attempts to complete this challenge so I’m going to be relaxed and just do what I want 💁‍♀️

a teensy tiny background for them; they came across each other on their way to oasis springs. the first life form that wasn’t a wild animal or dinosaur either of them had seen since they left home they decided to stick together to make it to the land of promises.

Things hadn’t always been so good.

Louise could remember her humble beginnings, and hardly believed that’s where she had come from. A woman, imprisoned, for surviving the only way she could back in Champs Les Sims. Shipped out to this foreign, strange land, tasked with finding a husband. A quiet, and much younger and less scarred Louis, approaching her in want of a wife. It was hard to fathom that when they wed, in that tiny chapel in the town, neither had thought love would come from their union.

But it did. And now, it overflowed from every crack and crevice in their old rickety homestead. As the colony around them grew, so did their own little family. It wasn’t without its struggles– the tiny headstone in the backyard was a constant reminder of what they had lost, and Louis still refused to talk about the night Colette was born.

But they made it. Against all odds, they had made it. Five beautiful, spirited, healthy children later, they knew their family was complete.

Shockingly even though Newt was down for most of the Fall season, we got the biggest pumpkin I’ve ever harvested! Onto the new season!

We had a busy Sunday with 4 birthdays. It was the first time I also did death rolls 👀

Newt has recovered!!! Finley followed suit shortly after and it seems Elsie will be on the mend soon. Unfortunately Ansel seems to be struggling to shake his Typhoid off so we continue to keep an eye on him but the farm can finally start running again.

but in a more happy note, Oren is now a clone toddler. Going to isolate him from the others til they make a recovery 😂

The next two years was a living hell. Newt was struggling to get better, Lemon came down with Scarlet Fever right before Elsie gave birth to a son named Oren. Finley was a massive star in helping around the farm but came down with the flu. George Paul (Elsie’s cousin) heard of the plague hitting the house and brought his colleague to come and help out because just as Elsie was recovering from birth she too was hit with Scarlet Fever. 

Lemon thankfully made a full recovery but it was in exchange for Ansel contracting Typhoid.

Elsie is pregnant again somehow, the family felt complete with Ansel and Lemon so bringing another one felt a bit overwhelming on top of Newt coming down with Typhoid but they trudged forward. Finley stayed home from school to help with the farm as Newt was bed ridden.
