"That is the way for Hollowkind. We suffer and survive how we can. There is not true peace in Hueco Mundo. Eat or be eaten." Armamur stated, there was an odd mixture of pride and sadness in his words. He was proud of being a Hollow and of his ability to survive, but was also saddened by how hard their lot was as Hollows.
Armamur hadn't joined Aizen as he had been under Gin before he'd even known about Aizen and his plans. Sometimes he looked back on all that happened in wondered if he should have? If Gin would still be alive if he was? But there was no way to know anymore. The past was the past and even Hollows must move forward.
"Sappy things? Like human light box stories? Armamurcielago has seen those light boxes with the sounds, lights and pictures. They don't work in Hueco Mundo though... I haven't tried in the Seireitei though." He stated in thought, revealing that he'd stolen a TV from the human world and brought it to Hueco Mundo, only to be very disappointed that it wouldn't turn on and light up.
It was a bit obvious that Armamur wasn't exactly normal. If he had been human before he certainly didn't seem to remember it or anything about it beyond what few things he "discovered" as a Hollow.
"Oh! Armamurcielago can answer this! Has eaten many of Shifty Fox taichou's socks and waraji! Shinigami taste like salt, dirty socks and old straw and rope!" The cat-bat hollow announced loud and proudly. Any semblance of serious that he might of had was gone in an instant.
❛ things have certainly changed for us. ❜ (From Armamurcielago.)

"Perhaps so."

"Truly, who would have thought that this realm's fate would ever intersect with that of the shinigami? Though, since Arrancars exist, perhaps it was bound to happen at some point in time..."
A sigh escaped them. The somber ambiance of Hueco Mundo felt quite appropriate for such timeworn thoughts, even if the event they had just referenced could be considered one of their greatest fortunes.
At least they didn't have to endure it alone. Having Armamur by their side would always make scouting for potential threats a little less dull, despite them not being very close yet. The thought alone of not being alone as an Arrancar working with shinigami was honestly pretty encouraging.
The silence that filled the void between the white dunes didn't bother them as it would before their recruitment, but nonetheless, Miele felt the need to continue, enjoying the chance for a conversation with their fellow Hollow.
"Whenever people ask how it feels to fight against our own kin, I always say there's really no difference between doing it for food or doing it for duty..."

"All in all, I think it depends on wether you think it gave you a purpose, or if it merely helped you in achieving it. I happen to fall in the first category myself."

Ilforte knew that his King wasn't an easy mate. Though that was normal for a lot of their kind wasn't it? Typically Hollows that were born Hollows, were the results of brief couplings and the Hollows or Arrancar tended to part ways after. He'd only known about it from seeing a few nests while travel with Shawlong in the past. They'd often just leave the new Hollow there. He wasn't sure if the mother's ever returned, at the time he didn't care as they hadn't been worth eating. In those days that was what mattered most aside from not getting eaten themselves.
"I think I might have back when I was alive, but your the first I have in a really long time. I, uh, wanted ta do that for a while. Just never seemed like a good time to." He stated, hinting that he had these feeling since he was an Arrancar at least. He might have even had them as a Hollow too.
"Their talkin' about moving me to 11th division, my fightin' skills are real good so they think that fits me best. They got it all sorted by what your good at there. I want to see if they'd let me stay here though... maybe make some sorta special unit or somethin'." He stated, Shawlong would be able to figure out a way to talk them into it once he found the others.
That had been a surprising, learning the green haired Arrancar had lived. He had assumed she died because she wasn't there anymore when Grimmjow brought him and the rest of the pack to Las Noches. She was lucky to have survived, some of Szayel's experimental subjects weren't so lucky.
He wasn't surprised about Aizen's betrayal though. He had a history of it in Soul Society so why stop there? There was also this feeling he got inside Szayel before being ejected. He'd tried to speak up about it to his sibling from within but had been ignored. In the end Ilforte had ended up questioning his own instincts on the matter. Maybe he shouldn't have and should have mentioned it to Grimmjow back then? But they did all become Arrancar out of it at the time and that had been a nice bonus at least.
Now that he should have figured, Shawlong always said that Grimmjow was stronger than he seemed. Ilforte had never really grasped what the smarter Arrancar meant back then. He got it now though.
A brief warmth and pink color tinted his cheeks when he felt his King return his kiss. A soft hum of contentment and feels untold until now. He hadn't expected Grimmjow to reciprocate but he was glad he had. Words had never been his strong suit. He wasn't Szayalaporro, his twins words were poetic and he had no problem saying what he felt, but Ilforte? The blond was always a man of action. "I, uh... Always wanted to do that." He told the bluenette before going in for another kiss.

@desgarron Continued from here.
"I seen your runnin' back and forth gathering up arrancar ya find. Why?" She asked as if her question would answer all of his. Lenurii landed a respectful distance, head tilted in curiosity. Hueco Mundo was a place of survival of the fittest. Why gather them up unless their was a reason?
"Could be, but this is more interestin'. You amassin' an army?" The blond asked. That might be exciting, but their weren't nearly enough Arrancar left. Aizen had made a real mess of things here. The idea of following a Arrancar lead army was more appealing but she was pretty sure their numbers were lacking. They'd be in real trouble if they were attacked now, but it seemed the shinigami were done for now.
"I wanna know why yer gatherin' Arrancar. People lie. Figured I'd learn more by followin' and watchin' ya." Lenurii replied, making her intentions more clear. Aizen had promised her and many other of the Privaron Espada many things from power and glory to other things but they were all just lies in the end. They'd all been tools in the quest for his own ambitions.

@desgarron @coldheartedflame Because polycule thread. Continued from here.
"You remember when we all went to the Human world? I found it lying on the ground near the trash can. It was broken and look like someone was tryin' to throw it away but missed and didn't care enough to go back and actually make sure it was in there. I picked it up as we were heading back." Ilforte stated not wanting to get into too much detail on the old memory. They'd lost Shawlong, Di Roy, Enrad and Nakeem that day, so it wasn't a pleasant memory. He remember it catching his eye though and just grabbed it.
He wasn't sure why, maybe it was to take something back with him because he'd lost so much. Silly as it might have been, but working on fixing it had helped occupy his mind from thinking too much on those they lost. Now that he was done though he wasn't sure what to do with it. But if Yuji liked it, he could give it to him.
"I only found this one though, else I'd give you one too." He smirked, he didn't know if Grimmjow was fond of human stuff too, but at least he know knew the sort of gifts to give Yuji.

Ulquiorra had laid motionless. For how long he couldn't recall. He should be died, but he had awoken somewhere in the dunes of Hueco Mundo. He was sore, movement was painful and so he'd closed his eyes again to sleep, to heal.
That was when he felt the reiatsu of another. A hollow presence? No, it felt more like an Arrancar. A minor difference but he could make the distinction. It wasn't strong so he allowed it closer, the footsteps, the sniffing... before the sound of someone sitting near him signaled they were not intending to leave.
Then there was a voice, female by the sound of it as she poked his face. Ulquiorra opened his vibrant green eyes to regard her. He did not know her. "And you are?" The fallen Espada asked, his voice flat and he was to the point.
She had been sniffing the unconscious hollow all over for a while. He smelled so familiar & it was driving her crazy. Who was this?
Even if it was dangerous, Modo had to know!

She gave up with a huff, sitting next to him.
“Wake up.” Pe finally poked Ulqui’s face with a finger.

"Shawlong Koufang, Di Roy Rinker, Edrad Liones and Nakeem Grindina. At least that was their Arrancar names. Mine is the same as it was in life and I'm no sure that's the case for them though." He knew it wasn't the case for all Arrancar to use the name they had in life. It was possible that they might use different names now, especially if they for got their lives as Hollows or Arrancar, which he heard was very common. The blond wasn't about to give up hope though.
"Right now? Naw, I'm too weak now. When I was an Arrancar I might have been and my King definitely could have!" He boasted, no way Grimmjow had died or would die to any Shinigami. "When I got cleansed all I lost all my reiatsu and had to build it back up from the bottom." Ilforte explained. It sucked but at least he was permanently destroyed or sent to hell like some of the really powerful Hollows were.
"Oh? Gotcha." He replied in understanding. It reminded him of how Grimmjow was a loner with the exception of his pack. "So you make and fix all our uniforms then? You think you could make something special for me then." Ilforte asked, the former Arrancar was no longer part of Aizens army but... "I want you to make a white uniform for me." He requested. He was still a part of Grimmjow's pack and the white uniform they had wore would help his pack find him too. It felt like some part of his past with his King he could still hold on to.
"What are you doing sitting here all by yourself?" (Mode to Granz @modeinthemiddle)
First Meetings Sentences, Vol. 3
"Hmm? I thought we were meeting here for that academy demonstration...?" Ilforte replied puzzled. Was he early? Or late more likely. Still he was sure this was the spot but he couldn't see any of the other Shinigami trainees. The note even said to meet here at this time today too. Wait... did those bastards give him the wrong location on purpose! Hell! He knew that his classmates didn't like him because he used to be an Arrancar (and under Aizen's employ, indirectly as it was) but this was bullying!
The ex-Arrancar snorted, much like the Bull hollow he used to be. "Looks like I'm being made a fool of." He growled out in answer to her, but his ire was not directed at her.

"Humans make for poor food. They don't have much Reishi until they die and become pluses. But not all humans become pluses, so hunting them is a lot of wasted effort." Armamur explained. He'd tried that before long ago. It had been how he had attracted the attention of Quincy's in the first place.
"The human's make it. They call it Dango. There are other places to get it too... if your careful enough." The hollow told her. Best not to tell her he got it in Soul Society, specifically in the Seireitei. Pe would try to go there and it was dangerous enough for him to go there, she would likely be killed quickly. The only reason he wasn't was because the captains and Vice captains and all of 3rd division was aware of him being a spy for their side.
"Hunting and being hunted is the life all Hollows lead. It is the way of things in Hueco Mundo and always has been. At least as long as I can remember." He stated in thought. "Some Hollows breed though... but other than that, the Shinigami are the ones that live differently." He told her without elaborating on how he knew that things were different for them. Instead he stated, "They live more like humans, very strange." He concluded.
"Going to the human world. There are things I want to see there." Armamur stated truthfully. He needed to go there to meet with his contact in 3rd Division before going to the Seireitei to meet with Kira. Their were a few other things he planned to explore while there too, like an amusement park. Their were all sorts of interesting smells coming from that place and colorful lights and sounds too!
🌙 (Arma, from @modeinthemiddle)
Send 🌙 to take a nap with my muse!
Armamurcielago was nothing if not a cleaver Hollow. He never slept up on the surface of the sand dunes of Hueco Mundo. Instead he had created something of a den under the sand. Within were fluffy pillows made of velvet and collection of odd things he'd collected from the living world. Most of it worthless but all were things that he'd found interesting. There were also a few old fashioned music boxes that looked well maintained.
It was a place he didn't often share with others. A Hollow was very vulnerable when they slept. So when he invited Pe to rest there with him it was a show of trust. Something shouldn't be overlooked as he offered her a place on he bed made of pillows.

Well that killed the mood. Oh well, he'd just bleach it out later anyway. And here he thought he might be able to have some fun with this.
"I thought Kon had more sense than that? Little pervert." He stated, somewhat impressed by the balls Kon had in trying that. He always thought he had limits that he wouldn't cross. White was a lot of things but even he respected Ichigo enough not to go that far. They were connected more closely though too, so maybe that had something to do with it.
"Heh, might have been better if you had though." The hollow stated. If Kon was going that far in Ichigo's body than who knew what he was doing as a stuffed toy. Not that White cared, but if someone was going to stir up trouble in town, he wanted to be at the forefront and weird perverted crap wasn't his thing.
@aureuskurosaki
"That's just because I don't have the toner in yet to fix it. Grimmjow did a real half fast job." Not that he really cared that much. He wasn't going for a long term trickery just long enough to cause problems. He did have solutions for the dye on his skin too as he needed to make his skin the same shade as Ichigo's for his plan to go into action.
"You saying he can do worse than me? Pfft, as if. Besides, what fun would it be to not mess with people if they think their are three of you?" He was totally up for including ichigo in his fun. It was more the chaos that he was looking for than who had to pay for it after all.
"Oh? He get you into some nasty?" White asked, now he was curious what exactly Kon had done. It must have been something good and while he was away too? Damn. He needed to spend more time inside Ichigo again. He was missing some good shit!

Ichigo's estimate was accurate. Starrk had been searching since he woke in Hueco Mundo, injured and alone. His search had been there primarily but he'd recently expanded to the living world. The poncho he wore over his old tattered Espada uniform was actually the cloth he and Lilynette used to cover themselves prior to meeting Aizen. He'd modified it into a poncho for himself, but really if was for her. He wasn't sure what state Lilynette would be in when he found her and she might need something to wear that was warmer.
Starrk gave a nod, he didn't like being a burden but was grateful at the same time for any help the redhead could provide. "I checked the outposts, as for any pocket dimensions, only Aizen would know where they are or how to access them." He stated as sometime Garganta wasn't enough to get into such places. He paused at the mention of Las Noches, he'd been avoiding going there. It was a reminder of all the friends he'd lost. "No, I haven't been to Las Noches yet." Was all he said at first then gave a surprised look at Ichigo as he offered to go with him.
"If your sure, I..." he paused recalling all Ichigo had gone through in Hueco Mundo and Las Noches in particular. He was about to say he didn't need to but instead, "I'd be glad for the company."
"I think I dozed off once last year for about ten minutes...?" He stated as he honestly tried to recall how long it had been. Regardless of how long it had been he hadn't had any proper rest since waking up without his other half. Ichigo did have a point though, if it turned out Lilynette was in trouble, he'd be too exhausted to help her. "Are you sure your alright with that?" He asked, not wanting the substitute Shinigami to feel like like he was obligated or something. He was doing so much for him as it was.
Starrk nodded. "She's short, energetic and has light blond hair." He stated making a gesture at about how tall Lilynette was. She wasn't very big at all. "She's like a little sister to me." He stated, describing their relationship as best he could. Really she was a part of him though, literally but that probably was odd to think about.
Starrk's appearance was far more haggard than it had been back in those days at Las Noches. His Arrancar uniform was tattered and worn, and a plain brown poncho was worn over it. His eyes had large bags under them that sort of gave away that he hadn't been sleeping or at least not properly at any rate.
Lilynette would rank in the Vesto Lorde class. She was a part of him and together they had made an extremely powerful Vesto Lorde. "Lilynette would have a similar reiatsu to mine maybe a little weaker but not by a lot." He stated with a sigh, knowing that meant she wasn't running around in the living world somewhere.
"Lilynette Gingerbuck. And I've been looking in Hueco Mundo." He confirmed, a flicker of emotion in his blue-grey eyes, pain and worry. "I can't sense her reiatsu anywhere." He stated, he couldn't hear her mind ether. It was something that had never happened to him before. Since they had split, he could always her or sense her. Now there was just... nothing.

Starrk had his own night terrors, something that he never talked about ether. Lilynette used to wake him up when he was having them. Usually in rather unique and creative ways. She was a part of him so she always knew when it was happening.
"How is how you pictured it?" Starrk asked not really seeing a problem, he frowned a little when he noticed how uncomfortable Ichigo seemed and gave him some space. He accepted the offered pillow and realized he'd misread things a bit. He gave a nod, "Sorry, I didn't mean to make things... weird." He stated honestly.
Starrk was already laying down on the floor, hands behind his head when Ichigo mentioned how hard Soul Society worked him. "All the more reason to enjoy the bed, right?" He suggested. Back under Aizen he hadn't been worked to hard, but then again, Aizen never intended for any of them to survive. As for after that, well, the sands of Hueco Mundo weren't bad as a bed.
He cracked open his eye up at Ichigo, the orange locks complimented his complexion and he almost missed the offer as he admired the other man. Something about a pillow? He missed the rest of it. Instead of answering he opened his other eye and got up. He approached the bed. Approached Ichigo. His nose only a few inches from the substitute Shinigami's as he leaned over him. "I could be your pillow if you want." Starrk offered in a lowered tone, mixed with obvious tiredness but also something else that was a bit more... sensual and possibility flirty.

"Hmm? I didn't really notice, maybe it was because I wanted it too." Starrk replied, confirming that Ichigo read him right and he had wanted it. The concept of asking was a little bit new as he was an old western soul. Body language had said a lot, as did instincts in those day and maybe Starrk still had a lot of that old stuff in him even if he didn't really remember it. It didn't mean he wasn't still learning or adapting to the times though.
That made the former Primera relax, he was always worried about that. After being alone for so long and everyone you tried to get close to crumbling away, maybe he had a little PTSD of it happening to others? He was glad Ichigo was ok though. He was one of the few that could potentially be intimate with him.
"You better not, that girl will cry." He stated referring to Orihime. He didn't much liked the whole plan involving her, but it also hadn't been his place to really object at that time. Things were different now though. Not only was Ichigo stronger, Starrk was no longer beholden to another's will. He was free, alone again and more so than ever before, but he was free.

Continued from here.
There was the tenderness of the redhead's kiss followed by the bite to his lower lip. Starrk had been shocked by it. His lips tingling from the sensation that he had been without for so long. He craved more, needed more. Then game the word, "Sorry" from Ichigo's mouth.
"For what? Making me wait so long or this little nip?" He replied softly, the question more rhetorical. This time he kissed back. His hand shakes, hesitated at first before becoming more sure and confident as he lifted it to cup man's cheek. His thumb gently caressing the living man's skin as if he might break apart and be lost forever.
The kiss was over far to quickly for his liking. He was being greedy, he reminded himself but couldn't bring himself to retract his hand. "Was I that bad of a kisser or is it my reiatsu? Your not in pain right?" He asked suddenly worried, he started to retract his hand as if it was burning the substitute Shinigami.

As predicted, there was no response from the gunslinger, even as he was lifted up. There was a small snort and half snore when he was picked up. Starrk wasn't scrawny but nor was he especially bulky or muscular making him easier to carry. With his limbs in place, the former Primera would nuzzle into the nap of Ichigo's neck, comforted by the warmth.
The rest of the fallen Espada's frame just hung limp for half the walk. Slowly his arm would start to wrap and cling to the redhead until he was snuggling into him gently for the rest of the trip. Starrk was throughly exhausted to the point that Ichigo could toss him into a river and he'd probably still be asleep.
It was the middle of the sidewalk. The Arrancar's tattered clothes spoke of his seemingly restless search as his body just up and told him enough was enough and quit on him, leaving him passed out in the open. It was a small boon that most humans couldn't see him and just avoid the area he was in, be it instinct of danger or something else.
There was a slight flinch that showed he was "alive" or as "alive" as an Arrancar could be. He was still technically a dead person as far as the living world was concerned. In ether case it was apparently that he was exhausted and wouldn't be moving or waking any time soon.

He agreed, they could at least start figuring things out, regrouping at Las Noches. It was possible there were other survivors beside the two of them, though how many was questionable. Starrk was aware that Ulquiorra had been ordered to guard Las Noches. He recalled that much, but after they left was when things got... fuzzy.
He was glad that Ulquiorra didn't mind the contact or make a big deal about it. It was a bit embarrassing, but he really needed the contact at the moment. "Meant more in general. My memories are spotty and I'm not even sure how I was defeated. Is it the same for you?" The fallen Primera asked as Las Noches started to come into view. The place looked like a mess the closer they got but it was still standing at least.

Continued from here.
Starrk hated that they hadn't been able to find Lilynette. He wanted to continue searching. His injuries hadn't fully healed yet and he knew they had lost. He didn't know how badly and a part of him didn't want to ask Ulquiorra. The man was brutally honest which he appreciated but also he was afraid of the answer. "Yeah, your probably right. We should go back. She might be there." He reasoned more with himself. In this moment especially, the quadre Espada was like a pillar of strength for him in a way he wasn't sure Ulquiorra was aware of. Not in the physical manner but emotionally.
The primera took Ulquiorra’s hand giving it a slight squeeze. He really needed the contact right now. "Lilynette is missing... I can feel her... and I... can't remember much during or after that battle in the fake Karakura Town." He revealed to Ulquiorra as they made their way to Las Noches. "What do you recall?" He asked the bat Arrancar, grey-blue eyes looking over to meet those emerald green ones.

Starrk smiled at that. "Thanks, Grimmjow." It wasn't just for washing the poncho for him but everything else too. He hadn't really noticed how Barragan treated others he, in truth, hadn't paid much attention to him because whenever he tried to talk to the "King," it always devolved into this one-sided argument which was Barragan snapping or yelling at him for one thing or another. Maybe if he had, he'd have understood why Lilynette was upset with him for letting Barragan boss people around and act like he was the Primera.
The gunslinger frowned. "I wish I'd known. I was afraid of hurting you and the numbers bellow Nnoitra... though I was worried of getting too close to him too." It was why he only really tried to socialize with the top four Espada. Though trying to talk with Barragan often left the former Primera exhausted and disheartened, especially when he tried to be his friend. It was small wonder why he spent so much time sleeping.
"That it? I thought it might be something more complicated." He stated, he wasn't judging, more wishing he could have gotten away with something like that. If he could have pretended to be weaker, Barragan would have been Primera and he wouldn't have had to deal with his yelling and complaining about it.
"Yeah I noticed. So many of us gone and for what?" He stated with obvious melancholy in his voice. So many potential friends, so many of his few actually friends too. He hoped Grimmjow could find more of them.
The Brunette continued to strip until he was completely naked, not minding if Grimmjow saw. Starrk's body didn't have a lot of scars, but there was one prominent one were Shunsui had "killed him" along his Hollow Hole. Beyond that Starrk had a well chiseled and toned body. He wasn't scrawny but he his body wasn't bulging with muscles. He was fit and strong though, and he was well hung in the family jewels department.
@desgarron
Starrk followed after the former Sexta as they arrived at the artificial Onsen. The renovations had surprised him a little. He was glad for it though. It was a bit more relaxing that just a simple shower that he remembered.
"Don't worry about it, whatever you have will be fine." He stated simply, hinting that he only kept the thing because it was all he had to wear while he was searching. The poncho over it was made out of the old blanket-like cloth he'd found for himself and Lilynette when they had split. Back then, the two had nothing and were all alone. It was a tattered old thing but it had sentimental value now. "Just keep the poncho. Could use a cleaning though I suppose." He stated though he didn't mind if it wasn't cleaned, he wasn't picky, he never was.
He used to bicker with Barragan, well no, it was more like Barragan bickering at him and Starrk ignored it. Still, the fallen Primera would still miss his presence. A bond was a bond, even is it was more of an annoyance or one sided rivalry, the man had been among those that could get close to him.
"Yeah, please do. I was gonna start searching there next but..." He trailed off. It was pretty obvious what the problem with that was, his reiatsu. He'd need to be extremely careful there or his presence would kill a lot of people.
As Starrk started to undress he felt the bluenette's touch and the pulse of his hidden power. His eyes widened. "Your stronger than you were letting on back then, weren't you?" He asked as pulled off the poncho and his coat. "Why didn't you say anything?" He added, letting Grimmjow help him. Had he known, Starrk would have spent more time with the former Sexta. He had been worried about getting too close to those of the lower ranking Espada because of his reiatsu but it seemed that he had been far stronger than he was lead to believe.
