Trying to figure out what plants can survive me and my micro-climate. Based in warm and humid Singapore 🇸🇬 All 📸 by me unless otherwise stated, but not all 🌱 are owned by me.

There's a hashtag on Instagram that goes "On Wednesdays we plant pink!" So yeah. Posting for that 🤭

But look at that hot pink leaf and upcoming pink leaves on the baby 🤤

It's been almost 1.5 years and I'd depupped a few beauties from this mum since then.
Please introduce me to more fuzzy wuzzys 😍

So my T. paleacea from Germany produced a seed pod from her flower stalk 😲
I hope it ripens well!

Another ionantha with a burst seedpod 😊 this mum is an ionantha 'Conehead'~

Ionanthas really take their own sweet time to incubate their seed pods 😅
Anyway, this was a sight I woke up to this morning, but do not have enough time to do sow the seeds, so they will have to wait for me to return tonight.
I actually ignored this mum for super long and was surprised to see the 2 babies 😅😅
Time to also um.. try to recall whether she was "just another ionantha" or she has a specific variant name 🙃🙃

Look at how much Side Pup #1 has grown!

Depupped my Vanhyningii Jumbo to make space for the new pups that appeared 😍
Somehow the form of the "side pup" is more wide and similar to the mum than the "basal pups", and grows faster although the "basal pups" appeared first 🤨 One of the "basal pups" accidentally got depupped, so you can see the difference in form.

Maybe because #OnWednesdaysweplantpink, my Hoya obovata splash decided to flower!
This neglected child put out flower buds after I started watering more regularly during this year's "sunny period" 😁 She gave me such a lovely surprise 🥰
Pictures were taken over a 2-weeks period: 12 Oct - today (27 Oct)

My air plant gave me seeds unexpectedly this morning. I read you posted this and I was wondering if you ever got an answer. My airplant seems to have pods months after the flowers. I put a baggie around it now to catch them. How do you grow them?
Congratulations on the seeds! I have previously shared how I germinated mine; here's the link! :)

#OnWednesdaysweplantpink so sharing my variegated string of hearts this morning :)
This full pot is starting to trail, and I have another pot that still needs to grow more and fill up. Grow well, little pink hearts 🥰

It's been rainy these days and mushrooms sprouted under the trees near my office where they had added compost! Little cuties, they are ♡

Any idea what this is in my pothos pot? Also should I remove half burnt leaves and stems?
Hmm I have no idea actually. It is still too young for me to be able to identify it, sorry! If you want your pot to look aesthetic then u can remove the half burnt leaves and stems, but if those stems are still growing new leaves, you can just remove the leaves and leave the stems. If those leaves aren't dying yet you can also leave them haha cos when they're older they will also die off.

I went on a hike on Friday and saw these 2 species of trees with lovely bark colours and texture! Really really cool!

Tree bark textures. They are one of nature’s beauty that we always fail to notice as we pass by them mindlessly almost daily. Well, most of us anyway.
All pictures taken from different trees, mostly on different days, but I’m not sure if any of them were of the same species.

Not super great photos and my trellis isn't here yet, but just wanted to record my little achievement :)
This #passifloratrifasciataxtelesiphe has acclimatised to my place (I think) and is growing quickly! Well, in relative to my other plants, that is.
When she came, there was an amusing discussion among my family members to "debate" if the leaves look like chicken feet or dragon feet 🤦🏻♀️😅🤣
And I wasn't used to such thin leaves so I broke that bottom left leaf when it was still at the state of that leaf in the middle 2 days ago, when trying to untangle a tendril from it when the vines "fell over" during the day before 😅 but the tendrils work very fast! I had to pull to let it release the hold it was starting to have on one of my succulents!
Anyway, also wanted to thank Fendi from littlebotany for reassuring me that the plant is fine and healthy because the first few days when she arrived at my place I wasn't sure of what to expect, whether the way she was behaving was normal 🤭
<end of long ramble>

I use the app “Picture This” to identify plant species around me. It has a large, user-maintained database :) it will ask if you want to subscribe, but you don’t have to at all (it keeps all the features available to you for free.)
Cool! Thanks for sharing :)
