"We're living through the ongoing fascist collapse of the United States but I still gotta clean the kitchen and go to work tomorrow" sure is the mood right now, huh.

Israel cuts Gaza's final internet line, plunging it into total communication blackout.
Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.
I am seeing more and more calls from inside of Gaza for help with eSims as that is currently the only way they can connect internally and with the outside world.
- Buy eSIMs here.
- If you can't afford it, you can donate any amount to this eSIM fund.
- Instructions on how to buy and share eSIMs.

🧵 THREAD: This #PrideMonth, don’t forget that the fight for queer liberation didn’t start or end with marriage equality.
💪✨ We need to keep fighting for our rights.
Here’s are a few examples:
💋 Before the 2003 Supreme Court ruling in Lawrence v. Texas, same-smex smexual activity was illegal in fourteen U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. military
👶 Before 2015, LGBTQ+ couples couldn’t adopt in all 50 states. Before the Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, laws varied wildly by state.
🏳️‍🌈 Before 1973, the American Psychiatric Association listed homosmexuality as a ‘mental illness.’ In December 1973, a vote was successfully held to remove it.
🗳️ Before 1974, there were no openly gay elected officials. That changed with Kathy Kozachenko, who became the first openly gay American elected to public office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
🎖️ Before 2011, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” banned LGBTQ+ people from serving openly in the military.
💍 Before 2015, LGBTQ+ couples couldn’t get married in all 50 states. At the time, laws varied by state, and while many states allowed for civil unions for same-sex couples, it created a separate but equal standard.
💼 Before 2020, employers could legally discriminate against queer and trans employees. It wasn’t until the U.S. Supreme Court held that an employer who fires or otherwise discriminates against an individual simply for being gay or transgender is in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Listen, folks, I also hate generative AI and do not think it is an effective accomodation, but if your argument against it is "Oh, you think [task] is hard? What a stupid idiot baby!" then I'm sorry to say that is Literally Just Ableism. Please think about what you are saying. The point should be that it doesn't actually work to solve the problems that people are struggling with, not that they're wrong for struggling in the first place.

I wanna make a connection for anyone who hasn't made it yet that President John F. Kennedy had a sister named Rosemary. She showed issues with speech and motor skills from a young age. Because of this, JFK's father had her lobotomized against her will, leaving her incapacitated for the rest of her life. JFK also had a brother named Robert F Kennedy (Sr.). RFK Sr. was this man's father.
Tumblr media
THAT is what we are dealing with concerning the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. More specifically the legacy of the Kennedy family and their history with disabilities and autism even in their own family.
'There weren't this many autistic people when I was young'. Yeah, there weren't in public.
Autism, disability, deformity, etc. until the 1960's often meant 'automatic institutionalization'.
Autistic people only seem more prevalent now because we have had laws in place keeping autistic people safe from neglect, from being kept in harmful/abusive institutions, from being lobotomized, from being dehumanized and degraded.
Point blank. Period.
Autism is a genetic neurodevelopmental disorder. It's the way someone's brain works. And it isn't something that can be or needs to be fixed. And because it cannot be 'cured', the only way RFK Jr. can 'end autism' in America is through disappearing/incarceration/sterilization/murder.
Wake up.

Hey, remember when RFK said he'd start an autism registry, then the DHHS said, "Lol, of course we're not doing that! That would be crazy!"?
The US Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday unveiled a pilot program for the National Institutes of Health to tap into Medicare and Medicaid data in its search for the root causes of autism. The database — which HHS said will draw from insurance claims, medical records, and data from wearable technology such as smartwatches — is one of the first steps in HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s bid to find the causes of autism “by September.”
