Episode 7 spoilers

NOTE: I'M REFERRING TO CHARACTERS, THIS IS PURE FICTION! ☆〜（ゝ。∂）

I think one interesting detail about Pearl's elimination was that the others weren't surprised by Pearl going out so soon (that was thought of in the aftereffect of it) their first instinctive reaction of surprise was from Pearl being killed by Jimmy because they overestimated Pearl and underestimated Jimmy

Grian calls Scarlet Pearl "our cannon", basically, "our weapon", "We will get Pearl on you" spoken as if she's a killing machine following orders of her master kind of thing.

Others, such as Scott, put great emphasis on how threatening red life Pearl is, "You brought the wrath of Scarlet Pearl on you", but the truth is, Scarlet Pearl was formed from a certain environment that Double Life had.

The soulmate link made the game more dangerous so it made Pearl's solo-play/insanity more threatening as a result since she would be hunting/taunting people when their soulmates were there too.

Her reputation was born from others preemptive judgements of her being insane/wicked before she even went crazy for blood.

But she doesn't have that environment in Past Life, she played villain rather than being thrusted into it, her deaths prior weren't from a relentless chase to death (by Joel-) and importantly, Pearl didn't go insane, Scarlet Pearl failed this season because there wasn't a Scarlet Pearl to begin with, she was broken but from her misfortunes rather than her loneliness because she had Grian and Gem with her (Even if 4/6 of her deaths were far away from the two of them)

And in Past Life, Pearl at that moment was (metaphorically but also literally) vulnerable and Grian and Gem were far, she was alone and died alone, near her home but away from her allies.

Another thing, about the fear factor mentioned earlier, another reason why Scarlet Pearl had failed was because Jimmy wasn't afraid of Scarlet Pearl.

The Ranchers never experienced Scarlet Pearl the same way others did, they treated Pearl with kindness and thanked her when she helped get the horn for them, they weren't there to see Pearl's insanity or her murders so as a result, Jimmy doesn't see someone who should be a major threat, just another red life ("You may have unleashed the wrath of Scarlet Pearl" "That doesn't matter")

And for Jimmy, after four games of dying first, everyone has it drilled into their heads that he is just a bad at this game of life and death, which is why people tend to underestimate him.

The Canary Curse had broke in Secret Life, now three death games ago, but everyone is still stuck in Third, Last, Double and Limited Life where he died first and still insist he is the same person when he had long since not seen his canary as an omen for himself but rather for others now (I think the idea of Jimmy using his feathers on his arrows is actually really sick, especially paired with how he killed Pearl by shooting)

I think this is why someone even as perceptive as Scott, will still underestimate him without realising he has actually improved and has began ranking higher and higher.

Grian wanted to see him dead because all he saw in Jimmy was the Canary in the coalmine, the one who died first to foretell others of danger, and he despises that the canary isn't a warning of danger anymore but the actual danger itself. If there was one constant in these deaths games for Grian, it was Jimmy's death, 5/6 of Jimmy's final deaths so far had involved Grian directly or indirectly (Exception being Double Life).

But the canary doesn't want to suffer and die for others to benefit anymore, he wants to he selfish and relish in others loss, he wants to win in something.

I think one thing overall that I find neat is that Jimmy isn't afraid of Scarlet Pearl and Pearl doesn't underestimate Jimmy as much because in the afters of her death, she acknowledges Jimmy's skill.

It’s so funny but lorewise tragic how everyone’s reaction to Tango’s death was speechless shock/upset meanwhile Jimmy immediately went through like, seven emotions and all the stages of grief at once

Also Jimmy blaming BigB then himself and BigB going, “Yeah, it’s your fault” LMAOOO

// Past life episode 5 spoilers

When I watched Tango’s episode, I thought surely nothing could go wrong, then I realised whose POV I was watching. Then realised the 35 minutes of video time. Then I hit the 12 minute mark and saw him turn around to see that creeper, I sat there, flabbergasted and kept repeated as I replayed the scene, “No way that just happened, there is absolutely no way”.

Then you get to Jimmy’s POV and this is the first time he’s genuinely distraught over someone else being out first (mostly because Tango was actually his ally, whom he had devoted himself to by the way, unlike Mumbo and Lizzie)

Also, funny thing, I’ve seen a lot of people say Jimmy bringing Tango to the Rejects base is what killed him. Then you have BigB and Jimmy pointing fingers at each other over who is to blame immediately after seeing the guy explodificate into lightning strikes.

The real kicker? Jimmy asked Tango to come over to try and kill Grian, Jimmy was the one who was most adamant about having the guy killed. Had Jimmy not sought to kill Grian so badly or mention BigB’s Titanium egg, then maybe, maybe he could’ve lived a little bit longer.

Then Jimmy says to Grian at the Villies base when he was caught trying to kill them, “I skipped the funeral for this” he skipped Tango’s funeral (mostly for safety) to have at least one attempt to kill Grian, the one thing he had wanted Tango to do when he was alive and what Tango had tried to do a session prior.

ALSO ALSO, SCAR FUCKING MENTIONED RANCHERS. AGAIN. HE BRINGS IT UP ALL THE TIME?!?!?1?

While Jimmy was stealing one of the Cabin Crew’s horses, Scar says “I’ve burnt a Ranch before” THERE IS NO RANCH ON THE SERVER SCAR!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN1!1? This was after Tango died too, I’m.
