Music and reflections...
A moment of relaxation but also reflection on the costs of our lives...
youtube
Our ancestors did not eat as much meat as we do today. They did not create large death camps where living beings suffer from birth to the end of life.
Do we have to live at the expense of this horror? Of course not. I have always severely limited meat because I simply preferred the taste of other things.
Now I would like to learn to live in a way that causes even less suffering with my choices. I believe that change in all this is already happening and the world will soon be free from the so-called industrial farming.

Gdańsk - forgotten district.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dolne Miasto (Down Town) is the newest of the old downtown districts of Gdańsk. It was created on a large, drained lake and for a long time it was even more intersected with water channels than today. Canals drained excess water from marshy lands on which subsequent plots had been marked out and built on consistently since the 17th century. Earlier, since the Middle Ages, there were also vast meadows serving as pastures around the non-existent swampy lake.
Tumblr media
The main axis of the district was Meadow Street (formerly Weidengasse). In the middle of it was one of the many water channels. Filled in at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, it was transformed into a tram route and today a pedestrian avenue. The district partially survived the war damage and today the city is slowly restoring its former glory.

Let's make a real love celebration!
Tumblr media
Valentine's Day can be something more - a celebration of love for one's neighbor! Do something good. Share the post or donate to people and animals in need.
In the shadow of political fools who do not care about any life, everything rests in the hands of ordinary people.
Help for the Palestinians, children in Gaza
Help for the Ukraine
Help for the animals in Ukraine
Help for the refugees in Gorom
Help for Lebanon
Help to Congo
Even the smallest gesture allows for a better tomorrow and hope for people and animals whose world turned into hell overnight.

The largest Gothic brick church in the world.
The great medieval city called the Lion of the Hanseatic League needed a representative temple tailored to its needs.
Tumblr media
The monumental temple was built for nearly 150 years (1346–1502). The church is one of the so-called brick Gothic, Gothic architecture common in the countries of the Baltic Sea basin.
Tumblr media
The dimensions of the Gothic colossus are; 105.5 meters long, 66 meters wide in the transept, the vault reaches a height of 30 m. The tower rises to a height of 82 meters. Medieval architects predicted the temple's capacity for over 20,000 people.

Medieval canal with drinking water.
The Radunia River and the Radunia Canal provided drinking water to ancient Gdańsk. The oldest, partially preserved part of the city, commonly known as the Old Town, was built on the Radunia River. The most interesting Gothic monument, next to the temples, are the former mills; a large water mill from the Middle Ages was the largest building of this type in Europe for several centuries. It is also the largest production plant created by the Teutonic Order.

The old town is dominated by the tower of St. Catherine's Church with a hidden carillon in the high tower.

Gdańsk- The bloodstream of the port city.
The quays of Old Gdańsk have always been the most important heart of this port city. Every day, dozens of merchant sailing ships arrived at the port with goods from all over Europe and the world. Most of them were stored in numerous granaries built since the 12th century.

Gyddanyzc Urbs
Medieval Gdańsk was a metropolis consisting of several cities surrounded by defensive walls. Today, only a small part of this former metropolis has been rebuilt. The beginning of the city of Gdańsk, once called Gyddanyzc Urbs (999), is the area of the former Teutonic castle and the so-called old town dominated by the Gothic tower of the church of St. Catherine from the 12th century

Crazy seagulls czyli szalone mewy :)
Seagulls are amazing and slightly crazy birds... The fuss they make and the courage with which they approach and approach humans is rarely seen in the world of other winged creatures.

Saints and monsters...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gothic monumental Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Toruń is a true medieval gallery of authentic paintings that take the viewer to a completely different world... How did medieval people see the world? I don't think we know it, but these centuries-old paintings give a lot of clues for the imagination. There are not only saints on them, but also monsters, buildings and strange places.

(Eng)"If stupidity had wings…" - as someone else wrote, because how can you logically comment on installing a barrier at the expense of an old tree in a place where it is of no use to anyone? Has EU money clouded reason? By the way, I encourage you to read this blog, it's an interesting idea that brings closer the scale of unnecessary tree felling.
