Hello cats and Clans!

I wanted to put out a quick update for everyone., as I’ve gotten a lot of asks n such.

The group is still planning to open soon and high ranks are also, STILL OPEN.

I have been dealing with a family situation that required a lot of my attention and thus I had to put IFTM on the back burner for a bit. Everything is alright!

I’ve decided to end High Ranks on Friday September 1st at 12:00 am CST! So go ahead last minute submitters.

Please give me a little bit to get my bearings and get into the swing of roleplay again.

does the River territory have a site that equates to their version of the Moonstone or Moonpool - a sacred place for Healers and Leaders to meet with their ancestors?

Due to the Clans difficult relationship to the past as well as varying views of their ancestors, there aren’t any “sacred” locations, more so private beliefs and superstitions.

Hi! can't remember if this was answered or if i missed it, but does this rp run on irl time? (one day=one irl day) or is like every few days equal one complete day?

This rp runs on 2:1 !

So every two moons cat time is one month our time. There are soft rollovers, but the rp takes priority over them. So it’s encouraged that roleplays are finished then handle the rollover and age up.

Hi! Just wanted to ask a question regarding accessories, are there limits to what sort of accessories a cat can have? If they can any, to begin with? (excluding all problematic ones ofc). Can we just customize our cat to be fully decked out from the start or do we have to start with a small accessory and gradually earn more through RP/events? ALSO... does each clan have a preference for materials when it comes to accessorizing themselves?

Accessories are a go! Deck your cat out however you choose as long as it’s plausible.

As far as Clan accessory preferences go—

I’d imagine RunningClan would heavily favor more grim accessories like skulls and bones!

CreepingClan would favor more natural accessories such as brambles and flowers

And lastly SplashingClan would use things like shells and reed-woven items.

hi hi question! are we allowed to use resources like picrews, irl images, or generators like clangen sprite maker for our cats? i’m an artist and i’d love to apply but i suffer from chronic fatigue and am not always able to do art, so i was wondering what the tolerance is for using resources to create a character image! thank you!

Picrews, irl photos, Clangen sprites— are all good!! Make sure you credit the proper source the image comes from.

how do we fill in the lovers backstory? is it meant to be collabed on with another auditioner or something similar?

For the Lovers backstory, you can still apply as one person. I’d recommend leaving it a little vague, and then if you were to be selected for the position, the Lovers could then collaborate to create a more solid backstory. :)

If we apply for a high rank and get it, does that mean we can not apply for low ranks when those forms come out?

You can apply for both— just note you’ll only get one character for the first chapter (2 irl months) — so upon acceptance you’ll have to choose only one to start.

If you mean apply with the SAME character for high and low ranks, that’s fine too, but again, only one of those histories will become cannon

For the non HR adopts, you’ll be able to apply for them when their Clan opens for normal apps— there will be special sections in the application for them :)

Aug 17th. Group Update

Howdy, cats and Clans! Here’s a few announcements regarding the status of the official opening.

1. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about HR and their applicants, based on what I’m hearing Ive decided to extend HR auditions another week— ending Aug. 24th! There are still some positions no one has applied for! — Namely RunningClans HRs and the two adopts!!

2. I’m still hoping to start CreepingClan’s opening that last week of August!

3. The server is nearly complete; though I am various curious which bots y’all would like to see in this community?

for the parenthesis on the HR applications, i cant really tell which indicates how many slots are open? is it like, only one out of 3 or 4 or whatever, or is the number on the right the available rank? its just a lil confusing to me but i might be dumb WBHJNVKNKNLDSVN also, is runningclan healer app allowed to be applied for? just asking cause its on the auditions but the lore also says runningclan doesnt select a healer app until the full healer is ready to retire, so i just wanted to clarify!

Hello! I just happened upon your role play! It's really interesting, but I was a bit confused. Does the lover of running clan have to a certain age? The form also says 1/2 so I was wondering who the other was if we're allowed to know! Sorry if this was answered or in the lore I just wanted to make sure of everything!

Hey! I got a couple asked about the numbers next to the available HR roles, however I didn’t realize how weirdly I formatted it. So instead I took them out period. The only currently filled HRs are:

And Crowhiss (my character) Leader of RunningClan

This she-fox is cunning and dangerous. Having lost her kits to RunningClan moons ago, she is hardened from a vicious territory struggle.

She is known to steal kits and lure trusting apprentices to their doom. Though she speaks cat well enough, there is nearly no reasoning with her once you’ve met her gaze.

Having recently been evicted from her home (the Owl Skull Tree RunningClan periodically stays in), she is furious and ripe with anger. A darkness has built up in her for so long; her spirit tired… exhausted.

Her only desire is to see them suffer as they did to her babies… Revenge will never be enough for this broken canine. She craves more and more of their misery, desperately hoping one day the Clans will finally get what they deserve.

How dare they challenge her season after season.

can you tell us a little more about the "wild cat characters" you mentioned in a recent ask? is that to say non-clanborn characters will be limited? how much do clan cats know about the world beyond their territories, and are there any special considerations we ought to keep in mind when making an outsider?

When I say wild cats, i mean more hybrids and maine coons, which ordinarily I wouldn’t say are part of the clans.

Outsiders are likely cats with Clan blood that moved on or avoid the Clans, as realistically only SplashingClan would be accepting of these wanderers. Though any Clan is likely to accept a kit or very young cat into the clowder. Additionally, there’s likely no kittypets as humans are not present in the story except in legends.

The knowledge of the land away from the River is virtually unknown. Only rare stories are told of what lies beyond the River’s shore.

Will the rp have activity checks? If so, then how often and is there a post minimum needed to be met to count to a completed activity check? (i.e, each person in the thread must post 3 responses for it to count for activity if that makes sense!) Just curious since i found that rps with activity checks helps me organize better :DD

Rather than using strict activity checks, we will generally monitor your activity through event and prompt participation as well as roleplay— and then at the end of the month their will be age up announcement that you will be asked to react to— things like a wild cat characters and more slots will be earned by noticing your participation.

If we notice you’re not very active we will likely send a message to you on whether you want to stay in the community or not. But we won’t be kicking people for inactivity.

Real life happens, so there’s no punishment for not having time for the group as long as you communicate and participate when you can :)

I am actually very curious about whether or not CreepingClan cats might be willing to go out during the new moon- since then there’s nothing visible but stars in the sky

I think that’s where superstition comes into play; while some cats may feel comfortable because the moon is gone, others might still fear it’s potential presence.

Some where our first event kicks off, we’ll see who’s brave enough to face RunningClan and SplashingClan at the gathering…
