I love toddlers, I had a Spanish-speaking toddler the other day and I taught her the word octopus in English and she said it like “otoputa” which quickly got shortened to “puta” and she just started pointing all over my octopus book shouting “puta puta puta!” (All the adults including her mom thought it was hilarious.) The world has always left me behind why should this be any different

You're simply never going to convince me that the people who learned how to analyze, think critically, and build up skill sets so they could become genuinely informed and competent in a field and accomplish tasks independently aren't better off than the people who use generative AI as a crutch and replacement for doing anything by themselves. There's not a world where knowledge and skills are a disadvantage, so no, people really don't need to "learn how to use ChatGPT or else they'll get left behind." That's just a marketing tactic to get people to use this product sooner.

Quark makes me insane because he's literally one of the most tragic characters in all of Star Trek like. Not good enough at being a Ferengi not good enough at being Federation cannot find acceptance or love anywhere except his family but cannot let himself enjoy that love and acceptance because he's stuck trying to conform to a Ferengi ideal that he doesn't even want. Stagnating and unsatisfied left behind by everyone he loves doomed to be alone and it's mostly his own fault. But then he looks like this
