Madrid Diaries #1

Here we go.

I'm going to Madrid. I know it.

The universe is really encouraging me to get on that flight and explore the city, enjoy myself, and grow. At the moment, I'm still sorting through details...like how I'll get there...But we'll get there! I know it.

At the moment, I'm waiting for a response from the educational rep. of the university I'm interested in studying in. I've turned off my email notifications over the weekend so I saw her response a few days late, but I'm not too worried. It's funny because it's 2:00AM at the moment, and I was well into a podcast, then I decided to randomly check my email. I even said "Why am I here" then I saw the response. We'll see if the meeting pushes through later today! :) If not, we can always reschedule. It's going to work out.

I've been pretty burnt out from work at the moment, and I'm taking this week to really rest. It's been quite physically demanding and I fear I'm inching toward my limit. I'm just glad the people are fun to be around.

Time to relax and wait for the rep's response. <3

Never assume that people are perceiving you in a certain way. ESPECIALLY if you feel that the perception is negative. To get somewhere, you'll have to embrace the unknown and be okay. Do not reject yourself first.

Comparison really IS the thief of joy...and I know I don't need to give my thoughts much air time but it's interesting that I see others accomplishment as a signal for me to get going too...Can't I just be happy without making it about me? And like...I don't even want what they have...

Day 2 on new meds.

Technically day three, but I haven't taken my third dose yet since it's literally 1AM. So far, no reaction...but I do feel "normal". Or quiet is a better term for it. More...logical, less reactive!

Less anxious, more careful. Less likely to buy into fear...yet it's still in the cart. I'm aware that it takes weeks for new medicine to really settle into our systems, but I'm grateful for this even if it's just placebo. I'm really tired of living with anxiety. and I want to enjoy myself like I know I'm supposed to.

My cat needs me right now, so I'll attend to her and write again later.
