Wow. I haven't been back for a while...How about that pandemic, amiright? That shit was pretty hopeless. Still is, really. I mean, it just would have taken two. weeks. of being indoors and being in masks and as usual, people fucked it up. They caused a nursing shortage, a doctor's shortage, and a teacher shortage just based on what I've seen.
And we can't forget the abandonment or elderly and disabled people. We've forgotten that they're still beneficial to society. We've forgotten women are still beneficial to society. And we've forgotten queer people are beneficial to society. POC have never been considered beneficial (even though they are). And young people. But no worries, fetus worms have more rights to life than everyone else on this list because the people in charge 1) don't understand human biology ESPECIALLY for birthing people and 2) are easily swayed by a religion and its people that has been corrupted and twisted until it's become something else completely even though these people don't actually believe in it but they DO believe in the money coming from it.
Anyway, more despair to come.

Evil always wins. It doesn't have morals or rules, only a goal that will be reached by any means necessary.

Flat Earth and Relative Size
Do you know why many of the flat-earthers believe what they do? Because they can't see the curve of the earth with their own eyes. No one can. But, see the issue with that is that you wouldn't be able to see it because the Earth is a little under 25 THOUSAND miles around. Humans stand at an average of 5'9" or 175.7 centimeters. That's basically nothing.
This leads me to believe that flat-earthers literally cannot comprehend how infinitesimally small and insignificant they, and every other human being on this planet, really are. The human race is made of tiny, dumb animals who think a six foot tall person is very large. Six feet has nothing on the vastness of 24,901 miles. You know how many feet that is? 131,477,280 feet. And that's just around, that isn't even the surface area of the Earth. The surface area is 196.9 million mi². SQUARED. In feet, it's 5.49 × 10^15 ft². THAT'S NOT EVEN A SOLID NUMBER, IT'S AN EQUATION WITH A TEN TO THE FIFTEENTH POWER SQUARED. The Earth is so huge, we can't even give it a normal number.
And somehow they think some five foot, nine inch person is going to be able to see the curvature of a planet so large it's surface area isn't even given a solid number.
And this isn't even taking into consideration the eyeballs themselves. An eyeball diameter averages at roughly 24 mm. It doesn't stand at the full 5'9", it sits a couple of inches below that. It funnels light through the retina which sends the information through the optic nerves UP-SIDE-DOWN and leaves the, often inaccurate, brain to interpret this information. It's inaccurate enough to not comprehend how small we are compared to this giant space rock.
We are small. The universe would still go on without us. There is no meaning to life, it just happened. An accident.

Hate
No matter how hard the human race tries to conform people, no matter how close people get to being physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually the same, people will always find a way of hating each other. Hatred may be learned, but it is so deeply engrained within our societies that no matter what we do, we will always find someone or something to hate. I can't see an escape from it.

Underestimate
My own phase of "there's no way Trump can win" died long before my peers' did. At a certain point, I looked around and saw the stupidity, the anger, the racism, the blatant ignorance, and my hope just absolutely shattered. When election night showed us the results we see now, I was upset. I was angry. I wasn't surprised.

Surprise
What really surprises me is the level of hope that Americans have. For instance, they petition. What do I mean? Well, they've been trying to petition the government, specifically the president, since the 2016 election. But no one CARES though. They can give as many signatures as they want, until those bits of handwriting turn into cold hard cash, no one in this government will do anything for the people. It should be beyond depressing, beyond discouraging, but every week or so I see a petition going around to change this or change that.
The same goes with protests, shouldn't they have given up by now? I guess not and it just absolutely baffles me. When you see that they don't care, and they won't care, why do you continue to forge ahead thinking this is the one that'll change their minds? The government doesn't care, the Trump supporters are so polarized they refuse to saw any other point and so are the liberals. People are still getting hurt by current policies and will continue to get hurt with future policies.
At a certain point, shouldn't it be too much? Shouldn't people just give up and watch in horror? I guess not.
