How to Improve Art

I’m always looking for ways to improve, even when I am not drawing. I found this video that reminded of things I ought to do, even reminded of the things I learned in my own art classes. Art is Life.

Why I Post My Worst Art

If you haven’t noticed I like to post my best works with my worse/failed works.

I want others to understand that they can fundamentally draw. Of course, I get the classic comment of “You’re so talented” Yes, perhaps. There are some elements that I never studied but have a deep understanding of without being taught. However, those are just some elements. I need to study the rest. Tumblr has a TON of skilled artist. I doubt I’m one of them, but that is NO excuse not to try. I’ve seen artist of lower skill than me selling their works and making some sort of profit. I admire that. The courage to say and “I will put my art up for all to see, knowing full well I’m not the greatest at it and throwing myself out there to of being compared and judged against”. 

I want to post my worst with my best to hopefully encourage you to keep at it. What gave me encouragement to start this blog and keep going was meeting my beloved online artist and hearing them say:

“I’m not good enough, I don’t think I’ve found my style yet, ***** is better - he is a true master.” 

The people who created my most beloved and emotional works said that about themselves. It some what hurt me since they and their pieces mean the world to me.

If they are that skilled and saying that about themselves then I only follow their lead. Put myself and my work out there, regardless of my skill, because someone like me is viewing it and loving every inch..or pixel ^^
