She jumped, being brought out of her thoughts by the surprising voice. Had he always been there?! It never ceased to amaze her how oblivious she could be to these vampires, considering how much of a threat they were. Then again, she was beginning to wonder if it was just her, or something else..

"R..Raito-san? I didn't see you there." Wow, she probably sounded really stupid. "..Did you need something?"

It had been awhile since Yui had come the Sakamaki mansion to live, and she still hadn’t managed to get used to it. Of course, it was hard to get used to vampires competing for your blood at every hour of the day. Actually, vampires in general were a hard concept to get used to not that she thought about it. Anyway, back to what she was thinking. Yes, it had been awhile, and she still wasn’t used to it.

To be honest the smart choice would probably be to stay in her room and hope nobody came looking for her, but she knew better. She’d probably be the most vulnerable in her room, and she had learned that the hard way. Besides, she had to do something, and walking around the gardens was the highlight of her day.. or night. She was usually up at night nowadays. That was also taking some getting used to, since she missed the sun more than she thought she would. 

She sighed, sitting down on a nearby bench. Just what was she even supposed to do about her predicament? She couldn’t just leave, but she was wondering if she could even stay here with the way things were. Why couldn’t things just be simple.
