return to parents had been made under moment of weakness . had craved nothing more than to hear mother’s voice once more , whispers through the vines allowing head to be filled with thoughts that things could be better now . how wrong she had been . leaving is no longer a choice nor will it be for weeks to come . is all too aware what it took to escape the first time , knows the second won’t be easier . no matter how much older she is . new life had been put on hold , calls having been made to anywhere she has ties . things had been well until final call was made to leo .
hadn’t expected him to show face here . not even through silent pleads when she dropped address in midst of message . after all , who’s all too willing to chase after someone who leaves without warning ? now they’re face to face once again and all vivienne wants is to leave with him . ‘ i want you to - ’ and final word is almost too cruel to say . despite how hard she’s pressing self into speaking it , she can’t . sniffle will sound when hand is placed on her cheek , body relaxing for the first time in days . ‘ you know i can’t say it again . please don’t make me , i can’t . ’
It had left him dumbfounded. No previous explanation had been given the day she left. He had tried to contact her several times, worried that something might be terribly wrong. And when she finally called, it was not what Leo was expecting at all. The unexpected words felt like a dagger to the chest.
Had he done something wrong? and if he had, how could he fix it? He needed answers. And so, he went get them. And there he was, trying to understand.
pleading blue eyes looked down at the other as the words started to leave her. He didn't want to hear it. Not again. And thankfully, he didn't. As the girl before him never finished the dreaded sentence. It brought him some relief as he confirmed the hurtful words hadn't come from her. His free reached to gently cup her face, thumbs softly wiping tears away "Tell me the truth, is this what you want for your life?." He asked even though he knew the truth. Blue eyes stared into her darker ones. "It doesn't have to be like this, if you don't." he paused, sighing deeply. "Come with me, please." he pleaded gently, briefly rubbing his nose against hers. Leo couldn’t let her stay there.

Harmless magic indeed, but that did not mean that fae were not in danger. Many still believed their bones and wings to carry healing attributes and despite Lilico’s carelessness, she was aware of it. Both fear and embarrassment brought heat to her pointy ears as the tips were soon dipped in a deep shade of read that she tried to hide under her radiant blue hair. “I-I-I know..I- r-read about them in b-books..” Still, actually meeting one and being so close to be devaroused was much different from the stories she had read, leaving her knees rather weak as she stumbled and fell back against the wall. “I thought I-I could fly away, I’m s-su-super quick!” Among the fastest of the helpers really, always bringing a swell of pride to her chest, but it seemed that it was not enough to escape from such a beast. Still, with the initial shock fading, curiosity began to bloom in twinkling blue eyes as they observed the blonde, his tall figure and radiant aura, something safe enough about it that she dared to step forward, causing the gathered teeth for the day to rattle in the pouch on her belt. “You’re a-a hunt-hunter?” Lilico had read about them too, much more briefly though which caused her to have a tad more curiosity about him than her initial goal to visit a human club. With a little pep to her step, she rounded him, her excitement visualized in small, white flowers that begin to blossom behind her every step.
truth to be told, Ryder didn't know much about faes in spite of his years of training. Let alone, how to confort one. Slayers liked to focus on the dangerous creatures out there, those who could mean a threat to either human or magical beings. Thankfully enough, the blue haired girl lightened up. Almost as if a switch inside her head had clicked.
she was peculiar to say the least. More peculiar than other magical creatures he had seen. She was small, colorful, and estrangely upbeat. Practically his complete opposite. Yet, her energy was very contagious and brought up a gentle smile to his face. Ryder felt no need to have his guard up. From the corner of his eyes, he spotted a bag. Something rattled inside of it. His eyes moved back to her just as the curious question left her mouth. "You could say that, yes." the blonde answered with a smirk still over his lips. "I'm supposed to get rid of dangerous creatures that could cause any kind of harm." he explained, his voice deep yet soft. "I had been looking for the one you encountered for weeks. " his smirk turned into a smile. His gaze filled with amusement as he watched her circle him like a curious child. "You could say you helped. Though don't make this a habit of yours." Ryder snickered, quietly and then pondered about his own questions for a moment.
"what kind of fae are you?" he asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "if you don't mind me asking." he added. There were different kinds. That, he knew.

While Itzel, being the walking disaster she was, had had her fair share of experiences in hospitals, she wouldn't reccomend getting hit by a car. Every inch of her body would be aching if it wasn't for the painkillers nurses gave her so kindly, and the food at the place wasn't what one would call the best. "The mashed potatoes are decent." the brunette thought as she had another spoonful from her plate and poked the distasteful looking beans with her fork only to scrunch up her nose like a bunny would. And then, she heard the door open.
Big doe brown eyes looked up at the stranger and blinked slightly at the sight of a bucket of flowers in his hands. A frown creased on her forehead, squinting her eyes as she observed the young man. Itzel couldn't recognize him, and alarms blared inside her head. Suddenly wondering if the accident had caused some kind of memory loss she wasn't aware of. But then, she remembered.
Her eyes widened slightly with the realization. A soft gasp left her voice and she sat up even straighter on the hospital bed. Now pointing at the man with her spoon. "you..." she whispered, eyes squinting at him again. "you are the guy in the car, aren't you?" Itzel said before crossing her arms. "Hope you took the bus to the hospital..."
Max had never been what one would call a good driver. He’d run into other cars, inanimate objects, he’s accidentally reversed when he meant to park. In his own defense, he didn’t really drive that much. He spent 80% of his life on a tour bus that was driven by someone that he hoped was a better driver than him.
However, he never thought that he was such a shit driver that he’d actually hit another person. Until he did. And that’s how he ended up hear, in the hospital room of a stranger with a bouquet of really nice flowers that he hoped conveyed his message of “I’m sorry I hit you with my car as you were walking towards a Starbucks.”
“Um,” He gave a weak little wave. “Hi.”

she’s just exhausted.
exhausted having to prove to her father that this relationship was worth it. all he sees is the tattoos, the physical, and the past. not the present and how beautiful the future can be. she didn’t mean, how could she mean it? her lower lip is trembling from the emotion, her shoulders dropping as more tears trailed down blushed cheeks. “…you know i can’t,” sonny whispered as she tried not to lean into his familiar touch, but there she is: giving in once more.
Leo knew he was not exactly the dream man a father would want for his daughter. No matter how good his intentions were, his appeareance was a shocker for most. his aspirations to become a musician, didn't seem to make it any better, even though was talented.
normally, he wouldn't care about the opinion of some old man, and wouldn't blame them for judging him either. But this time, it was different. For he was the only thing getting in between them. He had been trying to show he had a good heart for a while, and yet it always came back to this.
he felt slightly helpless and sometimes found himself wondering if he should just walk away to let her find someone better. But he couldn't.
some relief washed over him as he confirmed those words hadn't been hers but her father's. His thumb caressed her soft cheek before the other one joined in to cup her face, in a failed attempt to stop the tears. Bright blue eyes stared into her darker ones.
"I'm sorry." he said, his deep voice soft as usual, and pressed a kiss against her forehead. "I wish it was easier for me to just..." he paused and there was a frown. "walk away." his blue eyes moved away from her. "But I can't, I don't want to.

irrwicht·:
To be a fae meant to be much more vulnerable to everything than other mythical creatures, Lilico had been made painfully aware of those teachings in that very moment than ever before. She had thought exploring the human realms would be fun, unaware of the dangers lurking. Even her savior did not manage to assure her, eyes as icy as her own yet clouded with judgement as they seemed to analyze her very being. Beautiful wings were luckily tugged away under her coat, rested against her back but even like this they shuddered at the slayer’s presence. “I-I-I’m..okay.” Hesitantly she backed away from the wall, but made sure to still keep her distance to the blonde, tiny figure at least a good few steps away. It was now her own blues that cast over him, took in his figure all the way down to the blade of curious shape, dripping in the blood of her assailant. This time the shudder ran through her whole body; she knew it, she should have just returned home right after work instead of roaming around. Would it be odd for her not to question him? Would this blade soon pierce her own flesh? “Please…d-d-don’t hurt m-me-” A weakly breathed plea as eyes clouded with a hint of tears. Of course Babytooth wanted to remain brave, but it felt like this could really be her last moment.
Ryder observed the blue-haired girl, quietly scanning her in search of any injuries. Seemingly, she was unharmed, though visibly terrified. Unsure of what to do, Ryder put his blade away, tucking it safely inside it's sheath, while his free hand searched inside his pocket. If she was human, the protocol forced him to erase her memories of the event.
"relax, it's gone now." The slayer tried to reassure her, carefully taking a few agonizingly slow steps closer as to avoid scaring her even more. The question that scaped her lips made him frown slightly. and then, he saw it. as he got just an inch closer. A magical aura wavered around the woman's tiny figure. But it was not dark nor heavy like that one of her attacker. It was soft, gentle. Not a hint of dark magic in her being. Ryder had learnt not to trust tender appeareances as dark creatures can be highly deceiving. But in this case, it looked like she was just what she appeared to be. A fae of some sort, perhaps?
"I'm not going to hurt you." he said, his thick accent softly rolling in his voice before he paused to make sure nobody else was listening. "What you saw there, was a demon. dark magic, you might guess." he explained keeping his voice low and cast another glance over her magic aura. "your magic is... harmless. You are safe." he concluded, as the ghost of a smirk showed up on his features.
"though you shouldn't be wandering in the human realms. It's dangerous. Even more so by yourself."
