Tip for “Planners”:
Once you have the structure of the home—the foundation of the home—you can go into the home and start enjoying it. Everything doesn't have to be perfect and 100% complete for your story to start. And don’t be afraid to make changes along the way. And also remember that just because you’re a planner doesn’t mean your story will be any less exciting than the stories of other writer types. This is just how you get your book out and it is a very commendable method.

Tip for “Pantsers”:
Accept yourself. You are just as valid as a planner. Your writing process can be just as productive as a planner if you lean into it and stop fighting yourself. If you force yourself to plan when it’s not natural to you, you might never finish the book. And worst of all, you might get in the way of the best part about your style: random discoveries and exciting exploration. You are the adventurer of writing! Who knows what you’ll find, but I’m sure it’ll be something :) So go on. Discover

Tip for New Writers:
Find what you’re passionate about. The writing process can be like a long match against you and the page and sometimes even yourself. So if you’re not passionate about what you’re saying, the idea won’t survive. I’ll just dry up. So seriously consider what you genuinely care about when you’re just by yourself.
Note that when I say passionate, I’m not just talking about surface level feelings. If it’s just surface level, the hype of that will go away at some point during the writing process and you won’t feel like writing it anymore. But if you choose a message you care about or something you feel called to put into the world (even if it's just pure fluff) then even when those initial feelings of “hypeness” settle down (the honeymoon stage of any WIP), you’ll come back to it. Even if you put it down for a while, you’ll come back to it.
Because there’s something to say there.

Tip for Struggling Writers:
Don’t edit. Just put it down on paper—something, anything, because then you can work with that. Even if you crumple up the paper and throw that whole scene out, you’re still closer to the final product you want. But as long as your story’s in your head, it’s just in your head.
