The House of Dadneto 2025 is starting off twice as strong! ✨

Wow everyone! We cannot believe just how amazing the response has been to this year's House of Dadneto event so far! You're all so incredibly talented and it's been a joy seeing all your creations roll in!

In the first week, the House of Dadneto 2025 had 43 unique works posted for the event, which is absolutely wild (or "fucking batshit" as Sunset put it)!!

To all those who have participated so far, thank you so much! It's really been a highlight of our day getting to see all the wonderful things you've made for our chaotic magnet dad!

Hello everyone! After four months of writing I am so excited to be sharing with you all my latest fic, centred around the Dark DOFP AU you might have seen me rambling about in previous posts! Thank you so much @it-meant-nothing for encouraging me to write this, and to @lbigreyhound13 @callie-caje and @sunsetuniverse for being amazing besties who kept me sane throughout the process!! Summary:

Erik started to forget that touch could mean something other than suffering. And then Pietro came along, shattering not only his cell but his very reality in the process. A hand on his arm. Another curled up in his hair. A touch that didn’t carry pain, but hope, and freedom, and something that felt dangerously close to safety. Erik’s skin tingled long after Pietro had pulled his hands away, and he realised how deeply he had missed such gentle contact. He learnt very quickly, however, that Pietro did not feel the same. ~~~ Or, Erik is touch starved and Pietro is touch averse, and all the mess that comes with it. (Set in the Dark DOFP timeline)

Hi! I haven’t been very active here lately. Truthfully, I have a new hyperfixation. It’s an old one that just came back because it has a season 2. It’s Squid Game!

I’m actually most interested in the Hwang brothers’ storyline. I wanna see their reunion and how they’re gonna conclude their story.

But I’m having PTSD from dadneto and quickson. Because what if they suddenly drop their storyline? 🥲🥲🥲

The PTSD is real. I don’t want to experience the same thing again please. I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF A CONCLUSION.

Don’t worry tho, I’m not permanently leaving the dadneto fandom! I don’t have much time for fandoms anyway since school started today. I’ll be active on June!

Headcanon: Peter really likes copying what Erik wears on a daily basis.

It wasn't unknown to everyone in the mansion that Peter was Erik's regressor. It was difficult to miss unless you were blind. The boy was constantly following the metal-bender whether or not the man wanted it, always tugging on his clothes or holding his hand. A lot of the time Erik would be dressed in a flannel shirt with a vest, pants and a watch, which Peter seemingly managed to always steal off the other. On the other hand, Peter was commonly seen in a shirt and shorts, more than happy to have the air against his skin.

"Charles, have you seen Peter by any chance?" Erik questioned one day, his eyes furrowed with concern. He had been searching for his boy all afternoon but he couldn't find him anywhere. "He's not in any of his usual spots." It wasn't unusual for Peter to search the mansion with its vast grounds and rooms, but he never went more than a room over as he always wanted Erik nearby.

"Is he not? That's unusual, I haven't a clue where he may be, perhaps you should ask Raven? She gets along well with Peter when he's regressed, he loves their adventures when he's being babysat." Charles replied, although it was clear he was equally concerned about Peter's whereabouts. The boy never strayed far from his caregiver.

Erik just nodded before leaving the room in search of Raven. He spent no time in searching for the shapeshifter, urgently checking around the mansion rooms before finding her in the kitchen. She was cooking something as she hummed a quiet tune to herself until she noticed Erik's presence. "Something you need Erik?" She raised an eyebrow, waiting for a response.

"Have you perhaps seen Peter? I have been trying to locate his whereabouts all afternoon." He explained with urgency, watching Raven with hope and desperation. It's not that he didn't trust Peter to be safe, but the fear of potentially losing another child; everyone knew the looming dread Erik often felt whenever with a child or regressor.

Raven hummed looking back to the pan. "No need to stress old man, I saw him going upstairs with your watch again. He's most likely in your room or his room." She said before continuing. "Have you checked those two places or just the places you've known him to consistently be in?"

Erik breathed a sigh of relief at Raven's words, instinctively going to pat his wrist for the watch. Of course, it wasn't there which meant Peter had stolen it again. "That boy is going to be the death of me," He huffed although there was no malice behind his words. "Thank you."

Erik left, quickly making his way to the stairs and ascending up them to check Peter's room, praying the boy was in there. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate the workout, but he would much rather having Peter in his sight. Opening the door after knocking gently, he peeked his head into the room, his eyes scanning the room. Unfortunately, the room laid as it had when Peter had last been in it while big. The stray piles of CD's and clothes thrown about with the odd stuffed toy remained as always.

With his heart beating faster than average, he made his way to his room, praying that the boy was in there. Without much warning he barged into his room, his eyes scanning the room before his eyes landed on his closet which was wide open. Clothes were strewn around on the floor as one was thrown onto the bed, and to seal the deal, his watch was laying on the bed.

"Peter?" He tentatively called out and in a split moment, Peter's head appeared from the closet. The boy suddenly grinned as he noticed his caregiver.

"Papa!" Peter happily called out upon seeing Erik. "Papa, I gots your watch 'gain, is on the bed, you sees it?" He asked, smiling innocently as though he hadn't disappeared for the past two hours. Erik sighed in relief, laughing quietly at Peter's question. He just nodded with a fond smile.

"Oh, Papa- Papa I-" He cut off as he rummaged around in the closet again before a noise that could only be described as Peter standing up. "I d'ess like you, see see!" Peter appeared from the closet clumsily, dressed similarly to how Erik does on a daily basis. He had managed to find a flannel shirt, vest, and pants, standing proudly in front of his caregiver.

"I see, you spent all afternoon in my closet, hm?" Erik questioned, his heart touched by Peter's regressed act of dressing up. When Peter eagerly nodded he smiled. "You're adorable.. dressing up exactly like Papa. You did such a good job as well, I'm very proud of you."

Peter trilled his lips, bouncing in his spot as Erik praised his efforts. He rushed over to Erik, clinging onto him as him as the man picked him up, stroking his hair and doting the boy with gentle kisses. The act was endearing and Erik silently wished he would be able to catch Peter dressing up in his clothes more frequently.

I have so many Dadneto wips at the moment. I have no idea how this happened. But I just want to know which one you think is the most interesting… then maybe I’ll work on that first?

The gist of the stories:

A.

Actually… this fic, I think has the least dadneto. It focuses on Peter and Wanda’s relationship. Peter gets imprisoned in an anti-mutant facility and realizes later on, it was the place his sister was held in almost a decade ago. It was where his sister died. In the end, Erik saves him (of course?) but Peter doesn’t think he deserves to be rescued when his sister didn’t get the same.

B.

But then, his son came along, with similar power to his. And instead of thinking it was a curse, Pietro loved his power. He fiddled with metal with his little hands, and every time he did it, he did so with a smile. He doesn’t carry with him the rage and grief the way his father did. But then Pietro died. In a fire. Erik failed to save him.

Decades later, with Erik’s hands bound and a inhibitor around his neck, he watched as the white-haired boy with broken leg stiffly warp his fingers as he tears the metallic floor off the ground and haul it at the guards charging at him. At this moment, Erik starts to realize… that maybe his son never died at all.

By the way, that was the train scene in Dark Phoenix. Didn’t watch it so I have no idea how it went. Mystique and Jean never died because I said so.

C.

Apocalypse never resurrected. In this story, Magda is both Nina and Peter’s mother. Magda thought her twins had died; while Peter thought his mother died with his twin sister. Magda never told Erik about the twins. Instead of dying, Erik brought Magda and Nina to the mansion when Nina’s mutation manifested. He wanted Charles’ help. When Peter went to the mansion looking for the professor, he didn’t expect Erik to be there. But he decides to stay anyway, because hello, that’s his dad! He wants to know him. But what he doesn’t realize is that his mother, is also getting to know him and figuring the pieces out the he is, indeed, one of her twins.

D.

A young woman appeared at the mansion one day, and said in front of everyone that she was Magneto’s daughter. The information was fast to disseminate. Everyone knew it instantly— including Peter. Peter internally evaluated his sister and realized how beautiful she was. She had Erik’s eyes and even his stern gaze. She held herself with such confidence and elegance. And this made Peter doubt himself even more if he was worthy of being called Magneto’s son when Magneto’s daughter literally looked like the epitome of a goddess. So he decided, he would never ever tell Erik the truth even if he died. Erik got along with his daughter. Everyone also loved her. But in truth, she was lonely. She sought her father because she wanted a family, and even when she did get a family, she still felt a hole in her heart. Just like how Nina would always have a space in Erik’s heart, Pietro would always have a space in Wanda’s heart that would never be filled by someone else. Wanda decided to tell Erik that she is a twin. She and her twin brother got separated as kids. And that her twin was somewhere out there in the world and she wants to find him.

I have to cut this one short, it was getting too long 😅 For those who thought this was Lorna, I’m sorry! I can’t write her yet. Maybe next time!
