Journaling with doodles. It doesn't tell a much of a story to others (because I straight up forget to include text) but that's alright.

input - output
So I have been experimenting with the concepts of ‘input’ and ‘output’ in my mental health and overall well-being for a few years now. It basically means all the stuff I take in (being it food, drinks, music, Netflix, Youtube, books...) and all the stuff I give out (mainly my words and actions).
I have spent a month a few years back when I didn’t listen to any music at all. It was a tough one since before that listened to music literally all the time. Especially since Spotify and some good radio stations entered my life it was a full blown noise fest, all the time. (I used to play CDs throughout all night, every night when I was in high-school 15 years ago because I couldn’t fall asleep without my Linkin Park...)
That music-free month taught me a great lesson about how I had told myself that I just can’t focus if I don’t have some sort of music playing on the background. And during this experiment I was in the painfull process of writing my thesis. So I needed focus and flow and results - IMMEDIATELY.
And what I learned was that I could actually focus a lot better if I studied in complete silence. It was shocking, since I truly had believed that I can only focus with music playing in the background.
So that got me thinking what other lies or delusions I have been telling myself that just aren’t true? Or that I can turn these things around just by altering the conditions of my ‘input’.
And in this case the enhanced focus was my ‘output’. I could read and compute theories much faster and form my own opinions and then put those opinions into words in my thesis draft. That ‘output’ was the result of me altering my ‘input’, music.
i now listen to music but I am more mindfull about it. I don’t use it as a background noise all that much anymore, it almost always serves a purpose.

Same for me. Journaling and decorating my bujo is super relaxing. It’s a form of self-care, I can escape into my journal everytime I need some me-time.
Just started my proper bullet journal and tbh decorating and planning has helped me with my anxiety ☺️
Yaaay!!! Very happy that journaling helped you with your anxiety! I have it the same, making my spreads is like a small therapy for me :’) hope it gets better for you soon, love! 💕

This was a fun page to do. All kinds of occult symbols. I used mainly Faber-Castell PITT Artist pens, a white gel pen, and Faber-astell Goldfaber Aquarelle colour pencils.

Finally I got to start my second bullet journal. I’ve had this yellow Leuchtturm1917 for a couple of months now and I wanted to switch from my old bujo to this pretty yellow journal from day one. BUT. I didn’t! I finished my last bujo with dignity. (Ok there might be five empty pages still but I won’t tell if you won’t)
I also feel like with this journal I really tapped into my own unique style and aesthetics from the get go. I still love bouncy, curly hand-lettering but with this journal I just went with very simple all caps fonts and kept it very minimalistic.

the struggle when you are technically a perfectionist but can't identify as one because it implies you can do things near perfectly and you know you a piece of lettuce also you think you might have impostor syndrome but can't identify as that either bc that implies you are actually good at things even if you don't see it and you just know you a piece of lettuce
