Those who use the deathnote forfeit their right to be in heaven or hell…. You could say they give up a lot of themselves when they use the death note as well…

Another thing that can occur from the use of a deathnote is the making of a darker version of yourself.

Thus, someone looking eerily similar to Light is born. They almost seem like twins. Dark Yagami appears around the same time Misa does- So there is a second Kira….and that would be Misa. But a darker shadow of Kira hides behind Misa’s killings. Waiting…

Dark yagami-

- at first glance he can pass for Light fairly well- but if poked n prodded too much he will start to crack and become more unsettling.

His hair is a darker shade of brown in comparison to Light’s hair. He has red eyes and a sharp smile. Almost disarming at times. He typically wears a deep red turtleneck and black pants unless he is pretending to be Light. When he is pretending to be Light he wears Light’s more typical outfits.

He is much crazier and sneakier than Light in comparison. Dark is found to be laughing or giggling more often than not. He’s also easier to anger and snippier at times when things don’t go his way or when he speaks to L. Especially since L always notices that he is Dark and not Light. Another thing to note is that when using the death note he isn’t afraid to use it in gruesome ways… even go as far as killing with his bare hands.

Dark copies and their motives can vary but they typically want to kill the ‘original’. Dark however constantly tells Light that he has no intention to kill him. And that if he wanted to, he’d be dead already.

‘Because let’s be honest here… Who’s gonna save you from me? Would anyone kill for you Light? Because I would.’

He has an odd obsession with Light but it’s still unclear what he wants from Light or what he wants with him in general.

How he feels about L- it’s a love/hate kinda thing… But mostly a - I want you dead kinda thing…

The eyes of a dark copy varies but due to the fact that Light never made the deal for the shinigami eyes Dark doesn’t have them. But he can acquire them for five minutes after ingesting blood.

Since he’s born from Light’s usage of the death note Light cannot kill him even if he knows his name... Or that is that he can’t use his own death note to do so at all. Even using another death note wouldn’t work if Light’s writing Dark’s name. To kill Dark himself he needs to do so physically or have someone else do it.

Another option is another user of a death note or shinigami can use their deathnote to kill Dark. But its not recommended for another user to do so as you may accidentally kill both the dark version and regular version. Due to the risk Misa refused when Light asked her too.

If Light Yagami was Kira but like without the death note and literally just went out killing i think that the first time was an accidental murder either in self defence or defending someone else then the second was a “there’s no way i’m capable of murder so to reassure myself i’ll search for a bad person and watch as my body won’t move to hurt them at all” and guess what happens

Thinking of a Lawlight stalker x stalker au set in a au where there is no death note.

Where L enrolls into university to stalk Light because he’s like this is the Japan's top student, and I don’t understand why he is so perfect there is got be something wrong with him. He uses cameras and wiretaps to capture his every movement, using all this fancy technology to record every action Light takes. He buys his way into accessing the essays and papers he handed in, and always meddling with his grades. He stares at Light for nearly the entire class period, not even trying to be subtle about it.

Meanwhile, Light stalks L the traditional way. He is constantly wondering why his peer, known as Ryuzaki, is so strange. He thinks that L is trying to hide something, that he might secretly be a criminal, and light needs to expose him. He follows L after school, to different cafes and through the university building, trying not to be seen by him. When he can, he takes photos of L and tacks it on his wall. He is always collecting anything that L leaves behind, like his candy wrappers, lolipop sticks and always making sure he gets L's papers for peer review. He keeps everything.

If they both found out about the fact they were both stalking each other, it would go something like this:

Light: I knew it! You're a criminal! you stalker! I always knew you were a sick creepy pervert.

L: glances at the wall of photos featuring himself that Light has been collecting If you say so Light.

Small excerpt from ch1-

L continued to stare at him for a few minutes before continuing whatever he was doing on his laptop. Light let a good amount of silence simmer between them before starting up the conversation again, “ I wonder if this is even real… Maybe it's just some cheap imitation of the past.” Light said as he lazily laid over the edge of the couch, his eyes watching L crouched over his laptop. L’s eyes flickered towards his direction before he spoke, “ Have you begun to doubt your reality and mind since your death, Light? I can only assume it's due to a realization you refuse to accept within yourself…Perhaps one pertaining as to why you're here of all places. After all, as a self-proclaimed ‘ god ’ such as yourself, how could you allow yourself to regret touching the very sky you reached from killing so many?”

(Definitely had a lot of fun writing this!
