I’ve lost 6.5 inches of fat this past month!! I’m currently on day nine of my second workout program. My weight went up at first because my body was adjusting to the new program. Plus, I was eating EVERYTHING because my body was working new muscles and needing extra nutrition. My weight is almost back down to my starting weight, but my body is more toned. I’ve increased my protein intake which has helped satisfy my cravings. It takes time to lose weight and gain strength. I’ve been resonating on what I’m sending out into the universe today. This is actually something that I’m consciously meditating on daily. Some days, I’d rather create a blanket cavern on my bed, than face myself... and sometimes that’s what feels best to me. It feels safe to hide from my sadness or anger by using external distractions or temporary comforts. Emotions are a powerful tool genetically encoded into all of us. They’re a tool designed to warn us when there are environmental shifts, so that we’re able to react accordingly. We have a fight or flight response to protect us from danger. Most people are not living in the wild with predators, and we’re not using stress-responses the way that we we’re designed to anymore. When we choose to continually avoid immediate emotions it comes back as sadness, anger, or anxiety. In the wild we would feel threatened and immediately react by running. After, we’re out of harms way we would either feel victorious in our kill, or relieved by escaping death. Nowadays, when people feel threatened it’s often internalized. The modern world is different and it’s essential to find new ways of emotional release. These are things like self-expression through genuine speaking 🗣, stream of consciousness writing✍️, poetry✍️, exercise 🏃♀️💃🏼🤸🏾♂️🏇🏼🚵🏾♂️⛹🏽♀️, art 🎨, meditation🧘🏻♀️, singing 🎤, walking in nature 🌲☀️, playing an instrument 🎺 🎹 🎻 , etc... When a person allows themselves to access that space of openness and vulnerability is when the magic happens. That’s when everything that was suppressed is able to come to the surface and release bit-by-bit. It’s possible that a person may require more than one form of releasing depending on what feels most valuable to their story. We all have different stories and different ways of relating to the world. One thing I know for sure is that every persons story holds value and every trauma is real regardless of hypothesized comparisons. Every single person deserves respect and the chance to express their heart ���.

My muscles are still feeling sore from my past few days on this new program. I’m working out everyday because I’m fully committed to getting stronger, no matter what excuses I’m telling myself (I have lots of them). Veggie unwich!!! It’s super easy to make this. You literally lay out romaine leaves on tin foil (or other wrapping paper). Place cheese and other ingredients on romaine leaves.
