19th May (AKA the 19th Sun of the Third Astral Moon in Eorzea). Happy birthday to my FFXIV WoL, Tempest Jinsoku! She deserves all the cake for everything she's survived in ARR so far haha.

Long time no post! I got into the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV this year and its been a fun time. I'm hoping to draw more to document Tempest's journey as a sprout in 2024. The birthday art was a good test run to practice Au'ra horns and scales (ugh it was hard).

Arkos Week 2018 - Day 8: Bonus day

What better way to end the week than with the wedding we all wished they could have had! Shout out to @evebun whose headcanon I absolutely loved about the brides’ wedding dresses in Remnant being the colour they identify with (click here to see her amazing art!).  Also a big grateful thank you to everyone who joined me in Arkosweek - participants and audience alike - this has been an incredibly fun experience to share with you all. I was blown away by the stuff people created and the comments shared in the tags. Thanks @arkos-week for organising this event! And with this grand finale finished I can at last go to bed before midnight and sleep haha.

TLDR: Playing D&D as a dungeon master is a different experience to a player and I’m still adjusting to the disconnect. 

What’s up I’m still alive in this wreck that is 2020 and I’m switching out of artblock to throw onto the internet something of a personal thought comic. For context, for the last year I’ve had a go at running my own D&D campaign for the first time, called the Idarra Campaign, but it has been on hiatus twice due to the pandemic and then personal burnout. On one hand, I fear Idarra will never properly leave the ground, but on the other I fear never letting my players experience the story I had planned. Luckily for me, my players are the loveliest and most considerate people and with their encouragement, we’ll be returning to session soon. So I put to digital paper my main thoughts and conclusions to shake it all free of my brain. For newbie DMs out there who may have hit a block with similar circumstances, I feel ya. Take your time.

Wandering Heart Trio

First art post of 2020 and its in March?!?!?! Such is the life of a casual hobby artist. These Kingdom Hearts OCs have made an occasional appearance on Tumblr since 2017! And I decided to resurrect them for a fun little kickstarter art competition held by @ sunjuicypins and @ feltiscreations on Instagram. They made a kickstarter for three cute Kingdom Hearts themed Ita bags so of course I had to take Theme 2 of the competition and draw my three cute OCs with the bags. 

For those curious their names are: Mitsuko (blue), Koharu (yellow) and Shiori (green)

So I had to take a trip down memory lane to see what other art was flagged (there were quite a few) and realised I have great inconsistency in style and proficiency in my art hahaha.

14th November

It’s my paladin PC’s birthday today! If he was in the real world timeline, Tatianus Iustus would be turning 26. I’ve had this character for a year and he’s been on quite the journey. So he deserves an upgraded character art reference sheet, now featuring his new sunblade, way more aesthetic leg amour and scarring from the one time a chuul monster licked and poisoned him (gross). The cloak is also new because the old one got quasit guts all over it (also gross) and no way was he going to wear that again.
