Love between siblings

These are my siblings, Julia (3) and Jewel (10). They are still asleep after staying up late watching movies.

Description: It's early in the morning, my siblings are found sleeping. They share the same room, the same bed, and probably the same sleeping position. It's just all over the place, sometimes you can find them falling or rolling to the floor.

Whenever our parents are working from home, they're just in the corner with their phones.

Description: They love their mobile phones. Julia watches cocomelon on youtube while her sister is playing games and surfing the internet. They're inseparable.

More than siblings, they're also playmates. They're seen making paper planes and playing with them.

Description: Despite their 7 year age gap, Jewel still plays with Julia a lot. As you can see in the background, there are other toys. They toy they're playing is dependent on Julia's mood for her entertainment while are parents are working.

The siblings are eating together with smiles on their faces.

Description: Julia doesn't want to eat without her sister beside her. She rarely eats solids but gains apetite when eating with Jewel. The smiles on their faces shows that they enjoy each other's company. Julia's main love language is quality time.

They love to playfully fight and tease each other. It's how they show that they love each other.

Description: Because of her age, Julia treats everything as if it's a game. She thinks she's playing with her sister even though she hits her sister unintentionally which is okay for Jewel.

Jewel is making milk for her little sister.

Description: Because Julia rarely eats solid foods, she's a heavy milk drinker. Jewel portrays her love for her sister through making milk for her, it's another one of Julia's love language — acts of service.

A writer and a gamer

Jan Carl Daniel B. Abundo or simply JC Abundo for everyone’s convenience is a 2nd year student of Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Bulacan State University (BulSU). In Highschool, he served as the Sports Editor (2014-2018) and Editor-in-Chief (2016-2018) of the Visionaries, the student publication of Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation. The experience from competing in multiple press conferences and the knowledge from being a campus journalist, along with his passion for sports writing prompted him to pursue the field of journalism. He is currently a writer for the Pacesetter, the official student publication of BulSU. Aside from writing, he enjoys playing basketball and online games like Call of Duty Mobile during this pandemic. This pandemic might have closed a lot of doors for many people, but not for JC Abundo as this allowed him to compete in E-Sports scrimmages and tournaments against professional players these past few months.
