A poem about dreams and desires

I'm told that everyone has a dream and that dreams may look differently to others. The people I'm around by, they dream. But they don't feel it in their body and soul , that this is what they were born to do. An actor, an author are both things I aspire to be one day. But it runs deeper than that. It bleeds into my soul and my mind can't escape it. It stays there, consuming my thoughts. I feel it in my heart and I think about how happy and fulfilled future me will one day be when it all happens. I thought everyone has this feeling but as I look at my family I realise not everyone has that. Not everyone has a passion and desire that runs so deep. Creative careers take time. It takes years. It is all worth it in the end. Maybe I am not academically smart and maybe it will take some time but I feel my career paths is what I feel drawn to by my own heart. I can't explain why but I feel it in my soul and my bones and my life can't be successful if not without it. I was born to do it because it's the only thing I have going for myself. The only thing that allows me to be me. Without my creativity I don't know who I am.

A love letter to Hong Kong

To taste the sweetness of the pineapple bun. A coldness to a Hong Kong lemon tea. The chatter of locals on the street where history was made. Connections to culture to remind us of who we are. Feels like coming home because it is home. Life is meant to be lived and connecting to deep roots, to a culture we used to be ashamed about shows us how much we have changed. As in our heart and soul, this is how life is meant to be. Not hiding away in the shadows of what made us who we are, but embracing all of what we love about it. It's home and home is what makes us who we are.

God I miss the order. We deserved a season 3.

Sad that netflix shows that aren't romance/ drama ones aren't as loved.

Romance shows always get renewed. But the order was such a good horror fantasy show.

I miss it.

Sad we will never get to see Gabrielle and Randall date properly.

Or Jack bring Alyssa back to life.

Or the knights feel like knights again.

and if either Ian or Anthony found out that someone hated the other, they would absolutely hate that person.

i really can't fathom branding yourself as an "ianthony shipper" or being obsessed with ian and anthony's friendship while hating/badmouthing one of them just bc you personally don't like that person's vibes or you wouldn't be friends with him irl or whatever.

I will be happy in life if I get to become an author and write books until the day I die. And once all has been said and done, and the final book I write and I leave this earth. My mark will be made in this world.

Because while I die, technically I'm still alive. Through the many books, many stories that I will tell. That will be my legacy.

If you don't write books to influence, to impact, to make someone view the world and themselves differently then this path isn't right for you. Books have a profound impact on who we become as people.

I have two dream jobs and that's okay. I may have always wanted to be a writer and only found love for acting later in life but that's okay. You can have multiple dream jobs. Because I want to do both and that's okay. There is no rule book on how to live life.

Point is - its never too late. Lots of people take acting lessons in their 20s and don't start acting until later on in life. I never thought it would be something I would want to do but I realise I do. I've always just been a writer but why not both.

It's never is too late. Especially for being an author. Currently writing my book but if all goes to plan then hopefully it will be out in the world within the next couple of years.

min ho is nothing like jeremiah as he doesn't give off golden boy vibes and he is absolutely NOTHING like conrad.

Don't insult min ho like that. As he is not toxic, not like how conrad who is so rude. There's a difference between making fun of someone in a jokey way and having banter which is what kitty and min ho do. Vs just being rude which is what conrad does.

Its not comparable as min ho and conrad are two different characters.

Anyway min ho is my favourite:)

okay so the new character Marcus in season 3. Based on the description he is like min ho except with the worst qualities. (Dangerous, narcissistic and "gets what he wants" so basically manipulative).

He could be bi and is going to either going to fall for kitty or he is going to be the one to get in between Q and Jin.

Feels most likely for Q and Jin, just based on assumptions.

okay so dae likes singing and Q like running.

Now what are min ho and Kittys hobbies.

(Skincare doe not count lol).

Anyway I hope they explore it more in season 3.

Maybe kitty could do journalism and discover her passion for writing since her mother wanted to be a journalist.

Yes I will be an author one day ( no.1 dream job) but I also will be an actor one day (2nd dream job).

Why both you ask?

Because why not who says you can't do both and have more than one dream job come true.

Love lj and Peter but to be honest literally no one finds their "the one" at 16 and has stayed with them for the rest of their lives. Like come on that's actually unrealistic but a girl can dream.

Lj and Peter tho is more realistic than Cory and topanga who were together since they were 14 lol

Now kitty on the other hand, even tho it's rare it's somewhat realistic. Cause when she does end up with her "the one" ( hope it's min ho), then she will be 18 in her senior year which is more realistic and common but still.

Im 21 right now and one of my friends is with her boyfriend who she has been with since she was 18 so it can happen.

But would also love for one day for their to be a show of romance when the main characters are teenagers but in their 20s and find love.

kitty breaking away from Oxford study of white men but instead with hot good looking Asian people. Like yess.

Need more asian couples in english speaking shows, especially on Netflix hehe!!

okay how are all these students in KISS like sane. Like realistically korea they all should be kinda depressed with how tough the education system is in Korea.

If this was realistic then all of them would come from a toxic asian household. Just saying never met an asian family that was normal.

listen I know people say min ho dad is awful and yes he is. He's never there for his kids and is not taking the chance to know them properly. Okay he is narcissist. Actually you know he is exactly like my grandma - a narcissist.

But yuri dad is super toxic. Honestly he is like every male asian relative of mine. Wouldn't be suprised if he turned out being abusive as he kinda fits into that category.

So basically dae's dad is the only good dad on the show. He cares for his son even if he doesn't say it and that means a so much more than words.

But remember when yuri in season 1 said to dae "your a good son" and then Dae's dad said something like "he is a good son".

Like I know that may not seem like that much to most people. But it's so important.

As asian parents will never say they love you and so asian kids are left feeling if they are doing good enough or not. So to hear that from dae's dad was so important. As we don't hear that enough- asian parents acknowledging their kids in that way.

And this me, a girl who comes from an asian family where I've never heard my parents say I love you. Very rare do they say they are proud of me but when they do it means everything.

This shows how important a show like xo kitty is, not just for diversity and culture, and asian household but the relatability.

Q: I really think you should tell him. I mean enough time has passed, he's over stella.

Kitty: I just don't want to mess things up like other relationships.

Q: It's not like other relationships. You being scared proves that. And you don't know if he's moved on but from what I see I don't think he has.

Kitty: okay but what about dae?

Q: what about him?

Kitty: He fought min ho when he found out about min ho confession. He's going to be so mad. Because I am the girl who fell for my ex's best friend.

Dae: what'd you just say kitty? ( dae walks in)
