Highlights from interviews I recorded at the Proko studio a year ago as part of Marvel's "The Art of Storytelling" digital training course.
My voice is so gravely because it was right after SDCC and I'd been talking for a week straight.

In CHAMPIONS #25 (2018), we pulled Marvel's young heroes into Weirdworld and they were transformed into sword & sorcery variants. Sean Izaakse designed Miles as "Shadow-Spider", a daring cloaked Rogue.
In SPIDER-MAN 2, coming to PS5, Shadow-Spider's costume is a pre-order bonus!
Sword & sorcery + superheroes yarns always entertained me as a kid, so getting to do that here with the Champions was an absolute thrill. Seeing our Shadow-Spider show up in the game and engage a huge new audience like this is even cooler still.

Murderworld
MURDERWORLD wraps up today!
If you haven't snagged the whole story yet, here's the reading order for the series-Â
1) Murderworld: Avengers
2) Murderworld: Spider-Man
3) Murderworld: Wolverine
4) Murderworld: Moon Knight
5) Murderworld: Game Over
For those of you who don't know the back story on how this pitch came about, Ray Fawkes and I originally pitched Murderworld to Marvel back in 2004!
https://youtube.com/watch?v=mR738h8wdm4
Seeing this project finally come to life 18 years later has been a wonderful and surreal experience.
Huge thanks to C.B. Cebulski and Jordan D. White for seeing the potential in our story and our incredible editor Sarah Brunstad for taking it from concept to reality.
At each step of development, Sarah has championed Murderworld, encouraging us to tell the darkly twisted tale in our outline and making sure we didn't have to sand down any sharp points. Every issue I thought we were going to get push back, but she saw it through.
Ray and I have known each other since college. We've watched each other navigate highs and lows of this business, cheerleading and commiserating on each success or setback. Finally getting the chance to work side-by-side with him on this has been such a blast.
At the end of the story we sowed a few seeds for a possible sequel but, whatever happens next, just having this story finally told feels like a huge win. Thanks for joining us on the ride.

MURDERWORLD: SPIDER-MAN, the second part of Arcade's new twisted game, arrived in comic shops this week. Thank you for the great response, readers and reviewers!
http://jimzub.com/murderworld-spider-man-1-reviews/
Huge thanks to our editor, Sarah Brunstad, for helping champion this wild project and ride the razor's edge of mature content throughout the series, this issue in particular. She encouraged Ray Fawkes and I to go for the intense moments in our outline rather than holding anything back.
