I think forgetfulness helps a lot. Because I can't imagine how it feels to be 70something years old sitting on the porch remembering my lives worth of mistakes. It'd be tormenting.

Man, the first born children are tired. They realized that their parents have outgrown them and were getting old.They couldn't be childish even when they were children. They missed out on lot of things because they knew their circumstances and withheld themselves from asking. They also had to be "the parent" of their parents. They barely became adults but somehow they find themselves giving advice on life when they themselves haven't lived life in the first place.

I'm upset alright. I feel shitty. As someone who cared for me, you come up to me and ask why I'm feeling bad or what made me feel like crap. And now like the big idiot I am thinking that telling you might help me feel even a little bit better, I tell you. I tell you that I'm upset because my painting didn't turn out as I wanted, my eyeliner wing got messed up, the team I was rooting for didn't win or my the cupcakes I was baking got burnt and my favorite anime character died. And you tell me it's silly and among the huge pile of crappy misfortunes , mine doesn't even matter. It doesn't even qualify. I KNOW. I know that it's silly and childish and it probably annoyed you when I told you that this was the reason. But they mattered to me at that time. And I was sad about it. When I look back at it, it'll look silly to me too but not now. Now, let me be sad over these things. let me dramatically cry myself to sleep over my failures. Let me be human tonight.

Allow my tears to breathe in the night for I've denied them their freedom in the day.
