hi everyone! so, with this upcoming year, i have some news for the comic's development!

a couple months ago i recruited a handful people to help work on the comic officially! it's... being revamped a second time, but it'll be worth it considering what we have planned. hopefully we'll get to see some official comic stuff coming in 2024, i apologize that it's been taking so long for this comic to get off its feet. hopefully with the help of new people it'll be a lot easier to get things done! i'm really excited for this upcoming year for comic stuff, and this'll be a lot of fun to finally get in motion!

ended up adding one little last thing :] now i think it's ready!!! i may keep adding small things if i get ideas but what i have now is pretty solid!!!

i think the comic viewer is just about ready!!! i've improved the transcripts in a much nicer, user-friendly way- i've implemented the content warning switch that i intend on putting on the SC site eventually as well- i've got the navigation working-- basically the whole thing functions as i intended!!! this is really exciting!!!

once again, i don't really know exactly when the comic is gonna be released because it isn't my primary focus, but i do hope that this means it's coming sooner :] i hope you guys will enjoy it as much as i have enjoyed developing and making it!!! this comic is really important to me and i want it to have a fun and refreshing reader experience

there is more gore than SC just because every chapter has gore (not every SC volume has gore visible in it)

Is the tone generally darker than Sparklecare's

Mmm... Variably. It does have some silly lighthearted-ness but it also has a lot of intense subject matter like the recurring themes of domestic abuse. It also has a bit of a darker presentation with the lack of bright colors and the dreary environment and stuff. I guess it's kinda hard to say! I would say it is pretty dark though

Doing some more work on the comic viewer since I haven't worked on it for a few months :] I think it's coming along nicely! I'm not entirely sure what else I'm gonna add to it yet. The transcript system is a lil different than the one that the SC pages have and it's a little wonky so I'm thinking of altering it a bit but I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna do that yet... We'll see.

Will KG have an askblog like sparklecare does?

I've actually considered this before but I don't know exactly how it would work... I'd have to figure out how it would work with the story. It could always be totally unconnected to canon with no story and just for fun but I'm autistic so I like writing and making things in a VERY specific way so it's kinda hard for me to do a non-canon thing without any plot to it (I mean, the Cometcare AU is so fucking detailed and elaborate and has a really solid overarching story/theme to it so I'm just. Incapable of doing simple silly things Just For Fun. I have something wrong with me /silly)

It's an aesthetic choice!! I wanted to give it a special look :] I used to have a story when I was younger where the blood looked like that and I thought it would be visually interesting and make it distinct from other stuff!!
