Happy Pride Month!!!
I give you: Dappling.
~~~~~
[ID: A full hand-drawing of Apple White and Darling Charming. Apple is a white, teenage girl with pale skin, long curly blonde hair, large bright blue eyes, smoky eye shadow and red lipstick.
She is wearing a red dress with a white Elizabethan collar, white sleeves, black lace, and gold accents; faded gray pantyhose; gold high-heeled shoes with a red heels and a red bow on the toe; and a crown/bow on her head with silver dragon wings. Darling is a short, white, teenage girl with tan skin, white hair with platinum blonde and blue streaks styled into a bouffant, pale blue eyes, faint blue eye shadow, and a beauty mark underneath her left eye. She is wearing a smoky blue armor turtleneck with smoky blue leggings; a periwinkle, elbow-length jacket with armor-plated shoulders and pink lace at the elbow; a dark blue belt holding silver armored hip plate in place with a bright blue and pink skirt; knee-height silver plated boots resembling knight’s armor, pale blue fingerless gloves, a hair pin with a purple heart over silver dragon wings, a light gray sword, a light blue bow, and a coral pink feather; and a tiny silver tiara on top of her hair.
Apple has one hand resting on Darling’s shoulder, the other hand grasping Darling’s wrist. She has her leg popped up. She smiles towards the “viewer”. Darling has one arm wrapped around Apple’s shoulders, the other hand holding a large sword with an apple on the hilt. She leans against Apple and smiles at her cheekily.
Behind Apple and Darling, two white doves hold a flag up in the air. Behind Apple is half of the lesbian flag. Behind Darling is half of the sapphic flag. End ID]
“Show, Don’t Tell” but you’re autistic:
Them: Your audience isn’t stupid. Don’t talk down to them.
Me: (takes the advice, does it to the best of my ability)
Them: Oh it’s really unclear.
Melody Piper Headcanons
* Their full name is Melody Săraca Piper.
* Melody uses they/them pronouns. They came out very recently. Most of their classmates caught on to their pronouns quickly, but it took their dad a bit more time to catch on. They wouldn’t think about changing their name though; they love their name, and they think the Cheshire Cat chose well.
* They have a very close relationship with their dad. While their music styles differ, they both have a deep appreciation for the art and don’t believe it should be used for malice.
* Their hair is naturally white. They dye their bangs.
* Melody is one of the most musical students at Ever After High. They’ve been able to play the piano and the violin since they were four years old and mastered 15 instruments by the time they were 12. The only instrument they have yet to master is the harmonica. It is their “White Whale”.
* Their “Grandpied” Piper likes to drop in unexpectedly, and he’s not the sensitive type. Melody has to grin and bear these visits for their dad, but it’s become harder to ignore Grandpied’s comments.
* They have Roma heritage.
* Melody’s destiny situation is a unique one in that after the Pied Piper lures the children out of the city, it’s up to the Piper what happens to them. Some Pipers chose to give the kids back, others took the kids somewhere better, one even adopted all of them, and sometimes… it’s not worth thinking about. Melody suffers from anxiety because of this decision.
* They love their dad, but they want to know more about their mom. The Pied Piper refuses to say anything because he claims they’re “not ready”.
* They and Sparrow absolutely hate each other. Melody hates how loud and obnoxious his music is, and Sparrow constantly criticizes them for remixing music while he writes his own.
* They have a crush on their roommate, Ginger. But they’re convinced a relationship would never work out, so they leave it alone.
* The tattoo on their leg is actually henna. They wanted a real tattoo, but their dad wouldn’t let them. They do more elaborate patterns for parties and events.
* Melody’s favorite food is artichoke hearts.
* They love the sound of vinyl and goes over to Cupid’s dorm to listen to her collection.
* They have an intense desire to play the fiddle around roofs and fires. Not sure why.
* Melody has chromesthesia, a form of synesthesia that causes music and sounds to appear to them in the form of visual color and shapes. Their favorite is deep purple and neon yellow waves with black popping circles (what the average person would call EDM). This can sometimes be overwhelming for them, so they wear headphones to dampen the usual sounds around them.
* They can’t swim.
* They aren’t a fan of doing gigs for free. They can be lenient, though. If someone can’t pay money, they take payment in favors and (in Ginger’s case) treats.
* Melody does a lot of gigs for Briar, and Briar pays them in tutoring sessions. The two became very close friends through these exchanges, so much that Melody knows all of Briar’s favorite songs and dance routines.
* They suffer from intrusive thoughts, a symptom of anxiety from their destiny.
* They refuse to wear green.
* They’re an alto.
* They’re an auditory learner, something Briar capitalizes on in their tutoring sessions.
* Despite what their tale perceives, Melody tries to be as fair and trustworthy as possible. While others in their family had morally ambiguous intentions at best and downright evil ones at worst, they want to see the best in people and believe their music will bring that out.
It Was a Calzone
Hunter: What a gorgeous herbaceous medley! Cerise: There's been a mistake. You've accidentally given me the food that my food eats. Chef: Salad is traditionally the first course served at a wedding. Cerise: Is a gerbil marrying a rabbit?
Dexter: I am in charge of food for the wedding, so I have brought in Ever After's three best caterers and a panel of experts: Hunter loves vegetables, Cerise loves meat, and Blondie considers herself a "foodie" ... which apparently means taking Crownstagrams of food instead of eating it. Dexter: Okay, so, I liked number 1, Hunter liked number 2, and Cerise liked number 3. Blondie, how about you? Blondie: Number 1's presentation was simple, yet exhausting. Number 2's was subtle and provocative, like a coy Dutch woman guarding a dark secret. Dexter: None of what you're saying is helpful. Blondie: But Number 3's told a story; a story from a book I wouldn't read, but I would watch the movie of. Dexter: Well, that's nonsense. You know what? I'm gonna go with the first place. I really love that appetizer. Hunter: Oh, the mini-calzone? Dexter: I wouldn't call it that. It was more like a savory pastry; a delicate little dough pocket filled with tomato sauce, cheese, and spicy seasonings. Truly a culinary innovation! Cerise: It was a calzone. Hunter: It was literally just a small calzone.
Miss Rosabella Beauty: The Queen of Wasted Potential
Tumblr media
Okay, I'll admit it. I do ship her and Daring. I'm a sucker for Beauty and the Beast, and I couldn't help myself. That said, objectively, this ship and Rosabella's character.... yeah, it kinda sucks.
Maybe I didn't want to admit it because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale. But the more I look into her character, the more I realize she embodies virtues that contradict her own story. Epic Winter was more about "fixing" Daring's supposed selfishness than addressing the real elephant in the room, and Rosabella was a plot device to push that narrative. I think she could have been an interesting character with flaws and a lot of depth. But she wasn't, and I am very very disappointed.
Tumblr media
Her Character
The first time I saw her, I was really rooting for her. She's an animal rights and monster activist. She could have been great friends with Cerise for that reason. She could have even had interactions with Ramona in the past. But she comes off as self-righteous and preachy.
I get she's an activist and that's the joke; activists are inherently self-righteous. But this is Ever After High. Where's the nuance? She could be an animal and monster activist because she's experienced prejudice herself. She's the daughter of Beauty and The Beast. Look me in the eye and tell me she doesn't have any Beast genes. I dare you!
It's canon that Beauty and the Beast is considered a bad destiny story, with the stigma of the heroine falling in love with a creature most fairytales would pin as the villain, and a handsome prince carrying the stigma of being of being a beast even after the curse is gone. She should understand that better than anyone. And yet, this kindness and compassion she tries to convey comes off as condescending. She inserts herself into situations because she feels she's needed when nobody has asked for her help.
Tumblr media
2. DARABELLA
Rosabella was only introduced in one minisode and suddenly gets a big role in Epic Winter? She and Daring hadn't had a meaningful conversation up until that point. Really, she barely knows Daring.
For the daughter of Beauty and the Beast, she's so .... judgmental. She's supposed to have the ability to see people's true intentions, but why does she get it so wrong? She immediately assumes Daring is self-centered and narcissistic. On the surface, I can see where she's coming from. But, that's only on the surface.
Daring is more complex than she made him out to be, and Epic Winter wanted the audience to think she was in the right. We know this isn't true. Daring loves being a hero and saving people. He loves his siblings and does what he thinks is best for them. He certainly cared about Lizzie enough to respect her wishes. He's chivalrous to a fault!
Daring is clearly going through some things, and it doesn't seem like anyone's paying attention to what's really bothering him: He has no purpose anymore. He's been brought up his whole life thinking he would be King of Ever After, and now his world is shattered. He's not coping well. And Rosabella thinks he's full of himself when she's barely met this guy.
Having him become the Beast from Beauty and the Beast felt natural to me in the story progression, but Rosabella's inclusion felt forced. She gives him the same old advice from her original story when she should be hinting at something greater. This should be the turning point in Daring that destiny is malarky, and he can break away from the expectations his family and peers put on him. But she doesn't understand that. She only sees that he's obsessed with his looks because his main form of coping is gone.
He's not really upset about his looks. He's upset that his destiny is gone, and either that's not as important to her as him getting over his looks or she doesn't know him well enough to know what's been put on him. Assuming it's the latter, why wouldn't she try to find the root of the problem instead of fixing what she thinks needs fixing?
Daring is the victim here, even if he has issues to work out. And it doesn't seem like she's really listening to him.
Tumblr media
3. The Cousins No One Talks About
Yeah. Rosabella and Briar are cousins. And there is very. little. BACKSTORY!!
We know their dads don't get along. Briar's is a monster hunter. Rosa's is The Beast. Their moms are sisters. That's all we know. What's her relationship with Briar? Is it a tragic sisterly bond? Or did the two drift apart/fall out because of their family conflict? Rosa's mom is likely the black sheep of the family, so do she and Sleeping Beauty still talk anymore?
How does Briar feel about all this? Does she have time to feel anything about it at all? She has her own family and her own destiny to worry about. What kind of influence did Briar's parents have on her views on beasts? She hadn't even been to Rosa's home until they were both well into high school. How much do they even know about each other?
We know so little about their dynamic. Family conflict shapes a child, and both of them probably have some deep-seated trauma relating to their families. But did the writers forget that they're cousins?
Tumblr media
4. How I Would Write Rosabella (and maybe Daring)
First, give her the ability to transform into a beast. It's not hard.
She's advocating for people like her to exist. She wants people to see both sides of her and those like her to be seen as more than monsters. But she's had her fair share of prejudice, even within her own family. Her uncle is a monster hunter, so a half-beast niece would be considered an abomination. Because of this, she suppresses her anger to better the image of beasts. She doesn't want to, but she feels like she has to, for her own safety and to make herself more palatable in society. However, the more anger she holds in, the less control she has over herself. Her judgment becomes clouded, and this makes her jump to conclusions about people's behavior. She wants things to be fair so much that she gets in trouble for it. She wants to be understanding and patient, but having a hair-trigger temper gets in the way of her goals.
Give her a backstory with Cerise and the Hood-Badwolf family. Her family would know more than anyone the hardships that a human-beast family goes through, and they should be very good friends because of that. Her growing up around Cerise and Ramona would give her more of a reason to protect the beast population.
If any sort of relationship with Daring were to work, they would both have to learn from each other. Daring would learn to let go of people's expectations of him, and Rosabella would learn to let her anger out in a healthy way and pick her battles. Daring can't be the only one learning from her, and Rosa shouldn't see anything to fix in him. She needs to accept him for who he really is, not just preaching about appearances.
She should be embodying both Beauty and the Beast, all the kindness and grief that comes with it. She's not meant to be a paragon, and the writers should not have portrayed her as such. She needed to be a character with her own development. She needed to be portrayed just as in the wrong as Daring was when they met, not about appearance but about each other. She needs to admit her mistakes and acknowledge she is not always right about everyone. Or, at the very least, have her see right through Daring's facade about looks and realize there's something deeper going on.
The writer's dropped the ball on this ship, and they did Daring so dirty here. But they also did Rosabella a disservice by making her so two-dimensional and preachy, almost not even her own character. There are so many routes they could have taken with her. She could have been great, but she wasn't.
Holly and Poppy O'Hair Headcanons
Holly’s full name is Holly Ivy O’Hair. Poppy’s full name is Poppy Hazel O’Hair.
Poppy uses she/they pronouns.
The twins were tower-schooled before attending Ever After High.
Holly is cursed to have all doors that close behind her magically lock her in. She has to keep her dorm room door wedged open. Poppy isn’t completely comfortable with this and prefers the door to be closed, but she lets Holly keep it open a crack.
Poppy was definitely one of those girls who cut up their dolls’ hair.
Holly has ADHD, which makes damsel-in-distress class really difficult for her even though it’s her entire story. She also has a one-track mind. Once she starts on a subject, she will not stop talking. She uses reading and writing as an outlet for all the things buzzing through her head.
Poppy is the shier of the two. She’s more of a listener than a speaker, which comes in handy when Holly goes on a passionate rant. The only time she has no difficulty socializing is when someone is in the barber’s chair.
Holly’s a researcher of old folktales and ancient civilizations. The Wicked Step-Librarians have had to lock her out of the library for sneaking in after curfew and not being able to get out.
While they are close, Poppy wants to carve her own identity separate from Holly. She doesn’t only want to be known as Rapunzel’s sister. She wants to make a name for herself and have an impact on other people as her own person.
Holly is a morning person. Poppy is not.
Holly is sometimes insecure over having so much hair. She can’t avoid stepping on it, getting it snagged on something, and sometimes dragging on the floor. She envies Poppy for being free to cut her hair.
Multiples run in their family. Their mother is also a twin. She has an older twin brother named Tarragon, but she got the Rapunzel destiny because she was female.
Holly has had a crush on all three Charming siblings at one point or another.
Poppy was closer with Nanny Nona than Holly. Holly was wild and fidgety, frustrating Nona to no end. Poppy was the calmer of the two and thus got along better with Nona. Holly and Nona still get frustrated with each other from time to time.
Poppy loves spicy foods. She’s almost obsessed with them.
Their music choices differ drastically. Holly likes country pop music. Poppy is more into punk rock. However, they both share the same favorite artist: Dolly Charmton. Poppy plays the song “Midnight to Noon” to get her pumped up in the morning.
Poppy’s a great climber. She sometimes goes beanstalk climbing with Jillian.
Holly is slightly taller than Poppy.
Rapunzel and her husband work as the fairytale equivalents of district attorneys. As such, Holly and Poppy don’t get to see their parents very often - especially their mom - and it’s why they were left in the care of Nanny Nona.
Holly does tutoring in Creative Writing.
Despite working in a literal barbershop, Poppy does not like barbershop music.
Holly does not do things halfway and always takes the long road. She struggles in areas that don’t interest her, but she’s reluctant to take shortcuts. Her mother drilled into her head that “you can’t climb a tower if your hair is too short.” But Poppy tries encouraging her to “work smarter, not harder”.
Poppy has a thing for “baddies”. She used to have a crush on Sparrow, but got over him quickly when she found out he preferred Holly over her. She also has feelings for Duchess despite knowing she was voted “Most Likely to Steal Your Destiny.” Deep down, she knows it’s a problem.
Holly theorized Daring wasn’t Apple’s Prince Charming but kept it to herself. The only person she told was Poppy. She was pretty happy when she found out she was right.
Both sisters are devoted dragon moms.
They’re both very nervous for when their destiny comes to pass. Holly is a bit wary of living a lie; that she’s technically stealing her sister’s destiny. She’s also having some pre-guilt about blinding her future prince. Poppy is doing everything in her power to keep anyone from finding out the truth, because she wants to keep the life she’s been building for herself.
Hopper is gay. (fanon) Hopper doesn't have a destined princess. (canon) But there's someone else from the Frog Prince tale who was just as devoted, just as caring, and just as heartbroken about the prince's curse.
Who gets the title of Iron Henry in the Ever After-verse?
Why Rapple Wouldn’t Work as a Couple
First off, let’s get this out of the way: Raven and Apple are not related. Well…more like distantly related, but to the point where any relation is almost nil. Raven is not destined to marry Apple’s father because Apple’s dad and Raven’s dad (The Good King) are two separate characters. Raven is only destined to be jealous of Apple and poison her. That is all.
Okay, on with the real debate.
Tumblr media
I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I can't see Apple and Raven as a couple. While both of their arcs were about coming to accept each other, they weren't equal in their relationship. Raven made it clear to Apple many times that she felt disrespected, and Apple ignored that and pushed her own agenda on her. It may have come from a place of caring, but Apple didn't get Raven at all. I can see them working through their issues down the line, but their love story (if you can call it that) is better as platonic.
Tumblr media
Bulldozing and Passive Aggression
From the first episode, we can see that Apple immediately took control for both of them. She went behind Raven's back to room with her and decorated Raven's side of the room without her permission, all because Raven is an important part of "her" story.
Not their story. "Her" story.
Her friendship with Raven in the first three chapters was surface-level at best. She assumes what Raven wants instead of actually getting to know her, like when she decides to take "Home Evil-nomics" to get back at Raven for taking Princessology. But Raven's favorite class isn't Home Evil-nomics. It's Muse-ic.
We can see Raven trying to be patient with Apple because Raven is a good person. She doesn't want a repeat of what happened between Snow White and the Evil Queen. In fact, we see her other friends hide their concerns from Apple because they don't want to upset her.
When Ashlynn finally comes out about her relationship with Hunter, she's immediately met with Apple's dismay. Apple tells her several times that she's making the wrong decision, and it gets to Ashlynn so much that she chooses her friendship with Apple over her relationship with Hunter because she doesn't want everyone to be upset. Although Ashlynn decides to do what makes her happy, Apple still tells her outright that she's making the wrong choice.
Briar starts to feel the weight of her destiny sink in and, instead of being met with compassion and understanding, Apple tells Briar "we all have our part to play." While Briar rightfully calls her out for how privileged she is, it takes her three chapters and two more specials to admit to Apple that she was too scared to tell anyone that she didn't want to follow her destiny.
They both go behind Raven's back to poison a birthday cake she made for Apple just so she would stop crying about it.
Apple is the next Queen of Ever After, and she wants to take an active role in serving her people. But she thinks she knows what's best for everyone. If they don't do what she says, then there's something wrong and she has to fix them. Everyone enabled this behavior, except for Raven. This domination is what causes her and Raven's tension at the start of the series.
Tumblr media
2. Apple's Fears
Apple is a selfish character. But that selfishness is born of fear.
She believes going against her destiny means dying and being forgotten.
I believe she does care about her friends, in the same vein a God-fearing church-goer cares about the people in her community. She believes there is only one true way of staying safe: following your destiny. If you don't, something bad happens. And she has to remind you of that. She thinks she's helping people when she's really being insensitive and condescending. And this comes down the hardest on Raven.
Raven is the equivalent of someone who's become disillusioned with their faith. She's unhappy with the system she's been put in and she wants something better. That doesn't mean she's not afraid of what might happen if she does. She's terrified she might doom everyone at first. But taking a risk on Legacy Day and showing everyone they can live without following a predetermined path made her and others more hopeful that they could live better lives.
But Apple can't be convinced with one act of rebellion. She doubles down on her beliefs and blames Raven for ruining her Happily Ever After. She's so afraid of her future being uncertain that she would rather follow a status quo where someone she claims to care for is locked away for the rest of her life. You could argue that she doesn't understand that's what would happen, but she never bothered to understand Raven's perspective. Raven takes Apple's perspective in Thronecoming and considers the consequences of her actions. Raven cares about her friends too, so much that she's willing to put her happiness aside to keep them safe. Apple never once did that for her, or for any of her other friends.
This stems from Apple being promised the best destiny out of anyone. She'd go on to live a very prestigious life as Queen. But she's too naive to realize what that would mean for everyone else: Raven would be locked up for the rest of her life, Ashlynn would die to continue her legacy, and Briar would marry some random dude several decades younger than her and never see Apple or anyone she knew ever again. I understand that no one wants to lose the stability they've had their entire life. But she doesn't seem to understand how good she has it.
Tumblr media
3. Apple and Raven's Growth
Way Too Wonderland and Dragon Games gave us a lot in terms of character development. Apple and Raven have gotten to know each other better at this point. Even though they have their differences, they do care about each other.
Say what you will about Way Too Wonderland, but I do believe Apple has come to know Raven and is genuinely shocked and heartbroken when Raven finally signed the Storybook of Legends. She's come to care about who Raven really is, she knows Raven would never want to hurt anyone, and she realizes that destinies can be dangerous. I understand her main reasoning was that anyone could easily take someone else's destiny if they had the chance. But seeing what signing the book did to Raven frightened her. Destroying the book with Raven cemented a level of trust and understanding that Raven was longing for.
Which is what makes Dragon Games so heartbreaking.
Apple is a privileged little princess who was promised the best destiny one could expect. I don't think anyone would be all that happy about letting that go. It goes back to what she fears the most. She doesn't know what to do without her destiny. And with her mother only feeding into these insecurities, it allows Apple's doubts to resurface and for someone to take advantage of that.
Apple could have prevented releasing the Evil Queen. But she was too deep in her own cowardice to think clearly. Desperation will make people do anything, especially if promised a happy ending for you and everyone you love (maybe subconsciously hoping Raven would be her True Love). That doesn't excuse her freeing a war criminal who happens to be her best friend's estranged mother, thereby breaking her trust all over again. Raven had just started seeing Apple as someone she could depend on. That's gone now, and Raven had a right to be angry with Apple's selfishness and cowardice.
"But Apple realized her mistake and Raven forgave her in the end!" That's true, but that doesn't mean things are okay between them. Apple is still Raven's friend, and it's in Raven's character to forgive her. But I don't see her forgetting this experience any time soon. That trust would have to be built up all over again and, if you ask me, this ruled out any chance of them getting together romantically. I think Raven would need some time away from Apple to figure things out. Apple could use that time to figure herself out too, especially after figuring out it was Darling who woke her.
If that trust was able to be built back up again, hopefully they would have grown as people and learned to be better friends. But you can't expect this level of trust to be regained for a partnership.
Tumblr media
4. A One-Sided Romance
If Rapple were to be anything romantic, it would only come from Apple.
Apple was always obsessed with Raven. I do believe she wanted Raven to fulfill their destinies so they would both be safe, but was too selfish to consider how that would look from Raven's end. She never showed any interest in Daring and, while she enjoyed the admiration she got from other boys, never expressed interest in anyone else.
Except Raven.
So, yes. I do believe Apple was in love with Raven. But I can't see Raven returning those feelings. Apple always disregarded what she wanted, ignored her when she argued against her destiny, and continually tried to turn Raven into something she wasn't. Even after her much-needed character development in Way to Wonderland and Dragon Games, these two still don't have a good foundation of trust between them. If we had gotten more of the show, we might have seen some healing. And, in my opinion, that would include Apple learning to let go of Raven and focusing on her own growth as a person.
And maybe someone else...
Tumblr media
In all seriousness, Apple and Raven have a complicated relationship that I don't see working romantically. I know they have the most development together, and it would be an interesting take on the enemies-to-lover trope. But with how often Apple betrayed Raven's trust and how grounded and self-aware Raven is, I can't see them getting together.
I can see Raven being Apple's first crush, but the closest these two can get is sisters.
Because, you know, Raven has a boyfriend. It's Dexter. Say what you want about him, but they have a healthier relationship than Raven and Apple could ever have, romantic or not.
Don't u have a theory why apple and raven face have a similarity? Well the thing that makes them different is that apple is curly blonde meanwhile raven is purple hair and straight and they just look like an not identical twins
Well, I don’t know about all that. I think if we strip down all the female characters to their basic forms, they’ll all look alike.
Because the series was made to sell dolls, the characters were literally made from the same mold. Apple and Raven look alike because they were designed to be mass-produced, and that goes for most of the female characters in the show.
hi!! so excited i just found ur blog. i love ur hcs and art!! just wanted to ask what is your favorite eah character and your favorite eah episode/webisode?? hope ur having a good night! :)
Thx for checking out my stuff.
I'm gonna level with you, I'm terrible at picking favorites bc there are so many great characters. I'm better at picking my least favorites tbh.
I love Raven's struggle as a protagonist. Apple is a deeply complex character and I love that too. Maddie is an agent of chaos. I love love love the Charming siblings because they remind me of me and my brothers. Melody and Ginger I feel don't get enough love.
My favorite webisode has to be Maddie in Chief. I love Maddie, and it was a bit of a refresher to have her both in the spotlight and having Raven's back against Apple.
Apple White Headcanons
Her full name is Princess Apple Atalanta Eve White.
She used to be a chubby kid. Her mother would constantly point this out, even after Apple eventually grew out of her baby fat.
Snow White would dye Apple’s hair black when she was little, but it never lasted. She eventually stopped before Apple’s hair had to be cut off, because it had become so damaged.
Raven was her first real crush. But she didn’t realize it until after a year, and Raven had already gotten together with Dexter at that point.
Apple hates going to the beach. She’ll go with her friends as long as she’s 10 meters away from the water and in complete shade.
She was taught to sing opera. She purposefully sang worse in front of Raven in order to annoy her into poisoning her.
She is trained in classical piano.
For a split second, Apple had thought Raven had woken her in Dragon Games.
Apple keeps herself on a strict diet to maintain her figure. She has a constant fear of gaining weight and steps on the scale every morning to make sure she hasn’t.
She met most of her friends at family galas. She was encouraged to make friends with as many fairytales as possible, but this was merely a method Snow intended to build political alliances. Apple was unaware of this and just wanted to make friends.
Snow White owns a successful enchanted fashion line. She also has a line of plant-based cosmetics and beauty products. Her husband, King White, is responsible for creating the formulas and recipes for these products. Apple is often used to market and promote these products.
Snow White keeps her husband working constantly so she can raise Apple herself. King White lets this happen because he trusts Snow to raise their daughter right, but Apple misses having her dad in her life. The only time he’s allowed off-work is during a publicity event where he is “encouraged” to show off to the press.
Apple gets her genuine softness and love of chemistry from her dad. Her competitiveness and steadfast nature comes from her mom.
She didn’t find out who woke her until after the summer.
Apple was definitely one of those people who didn’t think Dexter would be a good match for Raven. She made all kinds of excuses like “he’s not evil enough for her” or “He’s not charming enough for her”. In reality, she was super jealous and too much of a comphet to realize it.
She loves boy bands. Her favorite band is One Reflection, but she also loves The Hunted, Bookstreet Boys, and the Thronas Brothers.
She has a hidden adventurous spirit and penchant for helping people. Unlike Darling, she channels it passively and invests her time in philanthropy and community service.
As a child, she was sent to a woodland camp during the summer. There she had no servants to take care of her, so she had to learn to cook and clean for herself and her dwarf caretakers.
Apple’s fear of water is so great that she is afraid to step into a bathtub. She takes showers. But if there is a chance of submersion, she won’t step foot in it.
She’s very sporty, but she participates in what she views as “princess games” such as croquet and Dragon Games.
She hates pears.
Even though she hates them and thinks they hinder her from being the perfect princess, she wishes she could wear her glasses. She gets constant headaches and her eyes hurt from always squinting. She keeps telling herself to wait until she’s 50, when it’s “socially acceptable”.
It took her a long time to get over Raven. Darling helped her through the process (partially because she knew what it was like) and the two became closer. This was before Apple found out Darling had woken her.
After the Dragon Games, Apple put in a considerable effort to better herself. She knew that she was acting out of selfishness and cowardice, and she realized that her destiny was different than what she had been told. She decided to take hiatus from being Royal Student Council President and work on rebuilding trust with her friends.
