I'll be honest: I saw nothing wrong with your POC reaction. In my eyes, skin color is like eye or hair color, it's just something unique about you to admire. If the 'colored skin' was replaced with 'long hair' or 'blue eyes', noone would be freaking out. The reason it becomes a problem is because people make it so. Why is it so wrong to think 'your skin is beautiful' about a poc when thinking 'your eyes are gorgeous' isn't? My 'sis' is half-black and her skin color is gorgeous.

And that’s how it should be. All skin colors are beautiful and unique and I’m sure the boys see that way as well. There was no fetishizing of anything that I could see in there and I’m so sure that the boys will try and show how much they love their s/o and everything about them, even their skin tone.

If that’s true, I’m sorry it came out that way to you. I had no intent of making it seem like it they were doing that.
