NEW BREACH CHAPTER!!!

It has now surpassed 200k words, and we're not even halfway through the first act yet... XD;

Potential new readers, mind the tags! Breach is primarily a dramatic comedy, and whenever it gets into the drama, it can get Pretty Fukken Dark. (And it's only going to get darker as the story progresses.)

If you want to read new chapters a week or more before they come out on Ao3, you can join the Discord server right here! There's also a bunch of art uploaded there, as well as a few AUs I'm slowly working on finishing. And even better - you don't actually have to interact with anyone! He's shirtless for...Reasons. But anyway, I can finally post this dude, now that he's shown up at last in @crinklytinfoil's Best Laid Plans of Crewmates and Impostors series!!! I've had his design sitting around for A While now, LMAO

If you see any anatomy issues, no you don't, also I hate drawing muscles.

BTW if you want to go and read that series, I absolutely recommend it, but 100% MIND THE TAGS, THIS IS NOT A DRILL

I also have the initial design attempt I made for him for...Other Reasons, and we can all refer to this one as babby!Lime, because he had to start somewhere before he got swole. Yep. It has nothing to do with the fact that I drew him way more cutesy than Crinkle imagined him to be or anything, no siree bob... 8|

In case you missed it, I drew this horrific beautiful thing.

STORY TIME:

When I was but a wee middle school Krys, figuring out how to draw anything remotely humanoid so I could inflict my contrived skinny white Zelda OCs on the population at large, I would show my deformed creations to my friend's mother whenever I was done scrawling them, since she fancied herself an artist, and I was a glutton for punishment and social rejection even at that tender age. She told me - with remarkable patience for an adult who was neither my parent nor teacher - that I had potential, but that I could do better.

And to prove I had the potential to do better, she went on to tell me, I should draw Garfield - you know, the cat - because, as she put it, if I was really as good at drawing as I thought I was, I should be able to draw Garfield, right? Which made it seem to me as though, in this woman's mind, the ability to draw an iconic fat orange cat constituted some inscrutable metric for artistic success that I had never once conceived of prior to that moment. Incensed by this concept, I promptly dismissed her and her challenge as ridiculous, because I was running on the blind, unearned confidence of youth and thought I knew better.

Anyway, over a full two decades and some change later, I have risen at last to meet her challenge. Unfortunately, her challenge's instructions were unclear, and thus I have drawn Sailor Garfield.

Take it in, Sarah's mom: This is what TRUE ARTISTRY looks like.

New Breach chapter up on Ao3!!!

If you're new to the story, you'll need an Ao3 account to read it, and also mind the tags. o_o

Also have some arts!

First is lil bitty Qīng to match a lil bitty Red that I can't recall if I ever posted up here outside of my commission stuff:

The one with Red also comes with the design for one of the jellyfish tree variants! (There's multiple variants. ...They're not all based on real jellyfish. ......Just a few of them. .........Okay, a lot of them. 😑 And this one's loosely based off the spotted lagoon jellyfish, it's just young and hasn't had all its spots come in yet.😑😑😑)

Next up, a redesigned Heartland salamander (massive thanks to @pigeonfeather for coming up with it!), as well as a miracle phasmid, which briefly appears in the infiltrator!Red AU called 'Fool Me Once'. That AU's not posted up on Ao3 yet, as it isn't finished, but you can read what I've written of it so far right here on my Discord server! (And don't worry, I do not expect anyone who joins to socialize with me, lol!)

These are the only critters that actively hunt impostors. They also have a taste for humans! :3c (I forgot to add a banana for scale, so, uhhhh, salamander = polar bear size, phasmid = anywhere from dime to human size.)

A couple silly little Shio and Cosmo sprites:

Shio's bad haircut got a slight upgrade to make me less mad about it. I'll draw a proper non-chibi version of it eventually, LOL. Also I sure have drawn Cosmo a lot so far, considering he hasn't even shown up in person yet. (It's going to be a blast when he does, though.)

Aaaand an attempt at a character reference sheet for Red. And lemme tell ya - he might not look it, but this boi is THICC. He can fit so much density into him!!! (But seriously, do not let him tackle you, you will probably die.)

I may adjust some things - chiefly the gold bits on the back, because they bother me now. :D I was intending to make a bunch of these reference sheets for Art Fight to maybe join in this year, but then I got overwhelmed. If I can muster up the willpower, I'll probably just do a bunch of sketches and slap color on top of them, instead... >.>;
