The street light flickered off eerily as the wind danced across the rubble strewn street. It was funny , in an almost twisted way , how something as inconsequential as a light still managed to function when life itself had ceased to mere months ago. Dusk had quickly fallen upon the city, bathing it in a warm ember glow that almost made it seem as though things had returned to a state of what could only be described as blissful normality. An occurrence Krystal used to systematically scorn in her ever mundane life but had since grown to relish.
It was days like these that almost lulled the observer into a sense of security – a feeling that was hard to come by in a world so twisted. Yet it was also a feeling which had caused many an untimely demise and Krystal had no plan to fall victim to such a fate. Sadly in all her preoccupation over planning what she would do theoretically she was instead met with reality and reality was a bitch.  She had failed to notice the ominously looming hooded figure that she had walked straight into – survival instincts at their best.
Expecting the worse Krystal braced herself  as she became aware of the other emitting a soft melodic sound – Wait is he humming to himself? It had to have been month’s since she has last heard such a sound. It was almost foreign yet oddly calming deterring Krystal from reaching for a weapon and instead urging her to take a diplomatic approach. “Hey” a calm male voice called out  each syllable dripping with confidence , he sounded so casual that Krystal – despite the voice at the back of her head , couldn’t help but feel at ease.
“ Are you talking to me?’” The moment the words had left her mouth she realized the stupidity of the statement , stumbling a bit Krystal tried in vain to cover up her words. “Oh well I mean I guess you are , since I’m the only one here.” The confidence the other possessed  only served to contrast  Krystal’s stumbling dialogue. “”umm I mean hi I guess?”
Finding the Truth || Krystal and Ryeowook ||
Not many knew that Ryeowook worked for the government. He appeared just as tortured as the rest of the world and he was quickly trusted by people. However that was all just a carefully crafted illusion that Ryeowook maintained at all times. He didn’t really fear being found out because if he was found out, he could just take care of the problem himself with a very simple illusion.
He was not worried the day he met the girl. He was relaxed, having done nothing the day before and the day before that. Ryeowook looked around in boredom and adjusted his jacket. He was slowly starting to get used to his hoodie-jacket combination, but the young man stlll missed the tailored suits he wore.
Looking around, he spotted a figure from afar, but he decided not to move, feeling no desire to do so. He was simply way too comfortable. As he watched the figure come closer and closer, he noticed it was a girl and she was rather pretty. He hummed under his breath as he stood up. “Hey.” he said.

Krystal nodded in agreement as she listened to the others words.""As effective as burning the place to the ground would be , i have to agree with you. For all we know there could be hundreds of innocent people trapped inside this , surprisingly warm , hellhole." Besides we'd be just as bad as them if we did something like that, making a silent vow to herself to avoid endangering the lives of innocents Krystal followed the other down the passage further into the depths of  the laboratory dust coated corridor. Judging from their surroundings this wing of the building had long since been abandoned.
The others words stopped her dead in her tracks , her eyes glinting she turned to face him as she began to fully comprehend what he was suggesting. The plan was ridiculously dangerous not just for them but for the others inside the building , it was also beyond reckless yet somehow Krystal had a feeling that it was just the right mixture of sheer stupidity and cunning instinct  to actually be a success. " That is perhaps the best idea you've had in a while , well done little nugget" A smile spreading across her face , Krystal tried to ignore the unsettling  fact that if they made one slip up in their disguise, no matter how small  it ,could be fatal.
" So i suppose the next step is to find a change of clothing , i somehow doubt my flannel pajama bottoms are going to help me pass as a scientist."
Ambush // Krystal & Seungho
"Polar bears armpit," Seungho chuckled as he echoed the other. Krystal had a way of making tense situations less so, and it calmed him slightly, even if that wasn’t the original intention.
"I wouldn’t mind burning the place to the ground, seeing as they’ve probably done worse things, and it would be a lot easier… But we don’t have a pyro here. And there are more people here like that girl." Seungho frowned, closing the door behind him so that they were enclosed in warmth again.
An idea came to him. It was risky. More risky than rational, but it would allow them both to get through the compound hopefully without exposing themselves. “Or…” he started hesitantly, “We could disguise ourselves as two scientists and get to the cages where the specials are held, and free them. From there… I don’t know, just make it up as we go?” The idea seemed to get worse as Seungho spoke, and he grimaced at all the horrid results that could possibly end up happening.
"If anything happens, I could always get us out of here no problem," he muttered, so that his voice was muffled from others. Seungho bit his lip, hoping it wouldn’t have to come to that.

Sunny days, when read about in books or observed with waning interest by bored students nonchalantly gazing out of the window in an attempt  to escape the constant droning of their teachers voice , normally entailed something along the lines of chirping birds and the overpowering scent of freshly mowed grass - not flying daggers. Especially ones being hurtled directly at your head , the idea of being turned into a human shish kebab didn't exactly tie in with the fantasy of a summers day; at least not Krystals definition of it.
Narrowly missing her head , the rusted blade of the aged dagger plunged smoothly into the red oak tree beside her. A trickle of sap ran down,  coating the daggers cheap blade in a sticky mess of glue and rust. Reaching towards the offending object Krystal dislodged it from the tree with relative ease , mulling over its cheap workmanship with disgust. Whoever thought this piece of mass produced , rust prone piece of crap was even close to a good weapon ,was clearly no expert.
Letting out an annoyed sigh , Krystal pondered how to deal with the situation at hand. Daggers didn't throw themselves especially from such a short range , which meant a few meters away hidden by the cascading shadows stood a hostile stranger with incredibly bad taste in weapons and the aim to match. The mature thing to do would have been to call out or signal her existence , the sensible thing would be to flee before whoever was their could advance , however Krystal had neither of these sensible instincts instead she tightened her grip on the dagger  and turned to face the direction from which it came from. " Hey psycho asshole hiding in the shadows , i think you may have lost this."" Her voice dripping with anger she raised up the dagger and promptly sent it hurtling in the direction in which it had come from.
Crystal Castle (Open)
How long had it been? Weeks? Months? Countless of them. So many that he couldn’t even keep track. So long that he felt as if he had just gotten up from the pile of debris for the second time in his life. He hadn’t been able to face the sunlight in such a long time that now tears formed in his eyes from the sudden blindness he experienced. Though the sun shed rays of light and warmth, he could only feel poisonous arrow hitting his face and body, making him only turn his back towards it. There were times when he would have only gone out when the sun would be out on the sky shinning as bright as it was that day, but those time were gone. Long gone. A cold wind blew right through him and the inevitable shiver took over his body.
Chanyeol tried to concentrate, feeling his inner darkness slowly taking over his system and he knew it had been too long for him to enjoy this on his own. Even if he couldn’t accept it, he was still a prisoner. He smiled gently before his lips curled into a vicious smirk and gripped the dragger which he had been holding in his hand ever since he stepped out of his shelter. Narrowing his eyes, he tried to focus on the target he had set meters away over the blocks of concrete and swiftly threw the dagger towards it, closing his eyes after. Had he aimed it the best?

/Her eyes darting across the abandoned shopping district with disdain , a drawn out sigh escapes her pursed lips , the pursuit of a relatively intact food source , as expected , was turning out to be an exercise in absolute futility , muttering she wondered aimlessly down the road desperately hoping to find at least one intact building  / Well this was a very successful two hours. / catching a glimpse of a neon sign , she ventures closer only to find an abandoned and very dilapidated grocery store./ Well I guess it's worth a shot / hand on her dagger she enters the store heading towards what was once the canned food section/
Perfect Showdown || Vinson&&Krystal
/drawls out a sigh as he continues to venture down the streets with Xing, his eyes looling around to find a place where there will be food, notices a local grocery store and decides to stop in to have a look, Xing close behind sniffing around/ Let’s just hope there’s at least one thing edible here. /pats Xing’s head and heads in/

" Well contrary to what you may believe , you're incredibly easy to read also you don't normally get paranoid so quickly." Zipping up her jacket , Krystal followed the other as they made their way down the frost bitten street. Although it was a December evening the night was unnaturally cold to the point that it felt as though with each movement they made ,  they were slowly walking towards their grave.
" God damn the government." Krystal mumbled to herself bitterly as they made their way down the street. " I mean seriously,  couldn't they delay the kidnapping of innocents until it isn't the temperature of a fucking polar bears armpit" Still mumbling she latched onto the others hand as they materialized onto the roof, Krystal had to admit despite her skepticism at the beginning she had gradually come to get used to the others powers and the sense of vertigo that normally came with them.
Ignoring the others logical reasoning , Krystal barged straight through the door and into the warmth and unknown  that lay inside. " Well i think we should probably be discrete about this , but at the same time I have the urge to just go in and burn everything to the ground. Taking into consideration if we do that we'll probably get caught in three seconds flat.
Ambush // Krystal & Seungho
"Who said I was going on a kick ass rescue mission?" he chuckled and shrugged, "I adapt to environments gradually." There was something about Krystal that made the suffocating tension from before dissipate slightly. He waited until the other had joined him at the door before rolling his eyes, "Let’s just go," he muttered quietly.
They made their way to the lab in a few minutes, the cold biting at both their skins, despite what Seungho had said earlier about adapting. Too big of a temperature difference, a snide voice in his head remarked. Seungho just pulled his jacket more tightly around himself and continued on his way.
He took Krystal’s hand for a second, and they materialized on the roof of the building. Seungho caught sight of a lock on the far side of the roof. Scrunching up his face, he managed to pick the lock without much difficulty, and he held the metal door open for Krystal. “Any suggestions as to how we go about doing this?” he chuckled quietly.

Krystal rolled her eyes at the other comment , he really was more stupid then she gave him credit for. Drawing her knife up to chest level,  Krystal couldn't help but feel the slightest trace of guilt , He really was too easy to trick it was almost felt as though  , despite the cliche , she was stealing candy from a small , bratty child. " Honestly as endearing as your presence is , its not to my liking."
She watched as he pulled away from her turning to aim the gun directly at her forehead, with a bitter and twisted laugh,  Krystal sheathed her knife , there would be no need for it now. " Alright then , Shoot me." Her voice cold and unfaltering she stared directly into the others eyes detecting a faint trace of skepticism. "  Life may have taught you not to trust easily , not that's much help however it clearly hasn't taught  you the difference between a loaded gun and an empty one."  Smirking she gestured towards the others gun in mock fear , did he really for one second believe that Krystal would have left a loaded gun in his reach , if he did he clearly was very narrow minded.
The Enemy || Sungjong and Krystal ||
Sungjong didn’t hesitate on his movements. He wasn’t falling for her innocent actions. He knew she was going to do something, and Sungjong couldn’t let her. He stepped up on his defensiveness and smirked slightly. “Oh, please. Someone like you should love to be in my presence,” he said, annoyance lacing his voice.
As she leaned back against him, falling into his plan, Sungjong had a feeling that she was going to do something to him. As he voice went into a whisper and she stated that how could somebody like her hurt somebody like him, Sungjong didn’t buy it for one second. He stepped aside and to the front, still pointing her gun at her. “Life has taught me not to trust so easily. With all that flattery, you’re planning something,” he said.

Krystal stared down at the, thankfully,  duckless ground beneath her in shame. This was definitely not one of her proudest moments and probably something she would carry with her for the rest of her days. That and an immense hate for all the semi-aquatic avian species left on the planet. Unless they were cooked and served with monkeygland sauce , now that was a prospect Krystal could see herself coming to love.
Her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment , Krystal drew her gaze up from the ground and onto the bedraggled stranger standing motionless in front of her. Most likely judging her less than stellar reaction to his much needed help and probably internally plotting his escape from the evidently crazy girl who attracts hoards of duck serial killers on a daily basis.
Krystal scanned over the boy assessing the damage she had inflicted upon him. Krystal winced as she saw the tell tale signs of a lump beginning to form on his cheek. " Well at least my aim was as impeccable as always." Krystal muttered to herself , reaching for her bag that had fallen limp a few meters next to the boy.
" Honestly,  I thought you were a duck in disguise , so i don't think that says much about either of our sanity." Matching the others childlike grin Krystal fastened her bag around her shoulder, making sure it wouldn't be used again as a very sad murder weapon. " My names Krystal and contrary to what you may think i don't  often take it upon myself to be chased my murderous water dwelling birds. Then again you seem rather well acquainted with them. "
Never Trust A Duck || Baekhyun and Krystal
Alright so Baekhyun had have his fair share of weird encounters before. But a bunch of ducks attacking a girl was something that was up in his list of ‘very weird encounters’. He took a mental note of that as he glanced at the girl, hand still outstretched for her to take.
Of course he’d expected a small ‘thank you’ or a huge smile in reply but what he got instead was a bag hurled at his face. Stumbling back, he nearly fell if not for his dog to promptly catch him. He shoved the bag aside, eyes now wide with confusion. What had he done wrong?
He blinked at her, eyebrows furrowed. Hadn’t he just helped the girl from the full on terror of being killed by ducks? Why in the world did she hurl a bag at him of all people. And why was she begging for her life?
"Wait what? I’m—" He carefully took a step closer, by now completely confused by the whole ordeal. He rubbed his now swollen cheek, lips parted in bewilderment.
He let her speak, cheek still pain from the impact of the bag as he she went on and on. He was still confused, blinking profusely at the said girl as his dog hid behind him.
"Don’t worry… I believe you…" He managed to croak out. He leant over and offered his hand once more, albeit this time more shakily. "In fact I’m pretty sure that you’re the one who thinks I’m crazy right?" He grinned goofily.

Krystal knew something was wrong as soon as she heard the others voice. He sounded  on edge and nervous a stark contrast to his normally mellow demeanor. It probably had something to do with the shrill scream  that had echoed out from the street mere seconds ago. As much as Krystal had tried to ignore the girls desperate pleas,  the sound had resonated throughout the small flat obviously garnering not only her attention.
Detaching herself from the bed with a sigh , Krystal grabbed the small silver revolver from her bedside table quickly stuffing it into her jacket pocket and making her way towards the front door. " I think you know me well enough to know that im not going to just sit around like some fluffy old housewife while you go out on a kick ass rescue mission: Grabbing her jacket from the hanger next to the door Krystal turned to face her flatmate.". Assuming that it is the reason you're so eager to run out into the street despite the fact that its probably as cold as the freaking arctic circle out there.
Ambush // Krystal & Seungho
Seungho fiddled with the hem of his shirt as he looked out of the window. That girl is really loud. A young girl was being dragged down the streets and into a black van. ”Don’t they have more than enough people to experiment on?” he muttered darkly under his breath, eyes narrowing at the black van that soon drove out of sight. He sat there silently for a few more moments before getting up, and grabbing his jacket off the back of a chair.
"I’m going out for a bit…" he said to Krystal, who was in her room. She had been living in his flat for a little bit more than a week now. He tried to keep his voice normal, but Krystal was bright. She had a knack for knowing what he was up to with the slightest hint.
