I had the same reaction to Cole and Rust reading the book as you did watching the movie. I hope to see the movie soon. I'm working on book 2 and they better survive.
the movie was a lot of fun! way better than i thought it would be. i had no idea the movie was based off of a book! (i'm definitely going to have to check them out, i'm always on the hunt for a good horror book).
i hope they survive too! now that i know them i need them to LIVE T^T!!!!!

I rewatched Dept. Q Netflix recently and paid extra attention to statements Akram makes about himself and, well, I think he needs to become a better liar:
- he and his family came to Scotland 8 years ago
- they came because Scotland needed doctors
- his wife is dead “because she operated on the wrong person”
- when Carls questions this he changes it to “I wanted my daughters to grow up to become doctors”
- his daughters have Scottish accents “it’s very cute”
- his daughters are not interested in science and youngest want to become a tiktok influencer
- his youngest just started school
Either Akram is lying about having daughters, when he came to Scotland, or when/how his wife died. School age in Scotland starts at 5. If he came to Scotland 8 years ago and his wife died in Syria then he can’t have a 5yo daughter unless he remarried (no mention of this). If his wife came to Scotland with him and they had at least one child born in Scotland then that implies she was killed in Scotland and surely that would have been in Akram’s file? Or he came to Scotland more recently than 8 years (say, 4-5 years) with a toddler and a baby, in which case, why lie about it?
So yeah we don’t know how much DNA show Akram has inherited from book Assad, but pair this holey cover story with his violent skillset and I think it’s safe to say that regardless, Akram is not who he says he is.

Stranger Things’ Billy Actor Reveals Whether He’s In Season 5
Montgomery’s response came during an interview about his upcoming movie, Went Up the Hill, which will receive a limited theater release on August 15.
“I'm going to say a few different things really quickly… This is my top-tier answer: I'm more excited than anything for it to be over for the Duffer Brothers, because I know they have so many other awesome stories that, years ago, they were telling me about. I'm like, "Guys, you haven't had the bandwidth to make this project." So, that's my most exciting thing… Secondly, I'm not in the last season, unfortunately… Thirdly, Max, I want to digress from your point into going towards Sadie as an actress. And I just think she's such a talented actress that's had some amazing opportunities over the last few years. I really, more than anything, just want her to see her continue to do so many cool performances outside of Stranger Things, because I just think that she's so talented, so professional, so driven--all those sorts of things.”
#dacre montgomery#means i dont have to watch s5 thank goddddddd#love you dacre you still remain my favorite
