IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE VIRGIL CAME WITH ALL THE OTHERS AND -wait lemme stop shouting- it helps patton get used to it and patton still might not know that virgil used to be a darkside because he only revealed it to thomas. logan probably worked it out and treats everyone the same and can take any good information from absolutely anyone like remus or smthn and deem it valuable. roman just didnt like virgil from the start so just made that connection with him and darksides. i dont think patton likes change very much so when janus and remus come along he becomes confused and i think thats where the problem starts.

if all the dark sides are things patton considers/deems unacceptable, wrong, like how he explained w remus and is kinda implied for deceit.
