NEW RECIPE!!! Keto on a grad school budget
Hey Guys!! Sorry I have been missing in action! School got maaaaaaad busy and then the holidays came up so your girl was out of it. BUT 2019 is all about getting back to it and staying. I have been slacking on my keto game as of recently for the above mentioned reasons. BUUUUUUUUT I just made some bomb ass food and cant wait to give you guys this bootleg recipe I used. [I'm African so actual measurements were guesstamated to the best of my ability lol] Please Please Please feel free to cheo change this recipe up as much or little as you need to! Share with family and friends! Let me know how you liked it!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Garlic Ghee Shrimp Pasta [Yes I know Pasta is very unketo but your girl couldn't find zucchini for the pasta nor do I have a spiralizer *cough cough sideeye*} List: - Whole grain pasta - Bag of Frozen shrimp - Frozen Veggies [the one I used had carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower] - 4 cloves of garlic - 3 tbsp. of EVOO - 3 tbsp. of Ghee - Salt - Pepper - Crushed Red pepper flakes - Italian seasonings - Cayenne Pepper [optional] Steps *** Boil pasta as usual before hand to make it easier*** Helpful Hint---- I add EVOO to my water before it boils to ensure that the pasta wont stick Shrimp 1. wash and peel your shrimp if tails are still attached. 2. Mince garlic 3. set frozen veggies in drainer and run water on it to defrost [if not already defrosted]. 4. add EVOO to a pan and let it heat up. 5. add Shrimp to pan, season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian seasonings and cayenne pepper. let sit for 30 seconds after stirring. 6. Add Garlic to shrimp and stir. Keep an eye out for shrimp to pink and for garlic to brown. 7. Remove shrimp and put in aluminum foil boat or a bowl. 8. Add frozen veggies to pan and stir. [May need to season a bit if it isn't picking up the taste]. 9. After 1 minute, add shrimp back in as well as the Ghee. Stir. 10. allow about 2 minutes while stirring to let everything meld together. 11. Pour contents over cooked pasta/zucchini/ w.e. and mix together! 12. ENJOY!

For so long, the narrative has told women and young impressionable girlsthat in order to be popular, have friends, to be desirable for the male gaze, and to some extent be a worthy human…that we must be thin.
The toxicity of this series, is bigger than just this one particular series. This is not an isolated case, but part of a much larger problem that I can promise you every single woman has faced in her life, sitting somewhere on the scale of valuing their worth on their bodies, to be desirable objects for the male gaze. That is exactly what this series does. It perpetuates not only the toxicity of diet culture, but the objectification of women’s bodies.
This series needs to be cancelled. The damage control of releasing this series will be far worse, insidious and sinister for teenage girls, than it will be damaging for Netflix in their loss of profit.
The release is set to be the 10th of August, we still have time to stop this series from being released, and causing a devastation of self-doubt in the minds of young girls who will think that to be happy and be worthy, they need to lose weight.  This series will cause eating disorders, and perpetuate the further objectification of women’s bodies. The trailer has already triggered people with eating disorders. Let’s stop this, and protect further damage

Hey there! We’ve got 4 different videos here that are keto-specific. Because I’m not altogether sure what constitutes a keto diet I don’t want to recommend anything that might not be specifically compatible with a keto diet. However, there is this roundup of 50 keto recipes on BuzzFeed!

Week 1! (Sorry I'm late!)
Week 1 done! I'd like to say that I was good the whole week and didn't eat anything even remotely related to carbs but I cracked. Being on Keto is hard. I never knew how much I relied on bread and pasta and card filled things of that nature. The biggest plus is all the cheese and bacon I can eat! I tried a couple new recipes, was more open with my life, and started a group workout journey. It may not be great steps to others but they are great to me.
Final measure in
Waist: 41.5 in (-1.5)
Hips: 47 in (-2)
Bust: 48 in. (-1)
Neck: 14 in (-1)
I do feel lighter and more alert. So let's see what week 2 will hold!

Yup yup Day 6
Today was.... I don't know. I think this diet is messing with my hormone levels because (TMI here) I've had some moderate to heavy bleeding and random sharp shooting pain in my stomach. But whatever.
I made the best ground turkey taco salad for lunch Today! I got the recipe from this Keto cookbook titled 'Bacon and Butter'. I really think anyone who wants to try new recipes should get this book! Different recipes for all occasions! I'll try and take a picture of my meal with the recipe later!
I went to the gym again today! I wasn't tired and had a lot more energy than I usually would which was amazing!
MEASUREMENTS COMING TOMORROW!!!
P.s. sorry this is so short, I really need to shower lol
