Dp x dc: batshit crazy driver au.

Bruce hired a new personal driver for the Wayne's. He was a nice enough guy. His grades weren't great, but he was a great driver and very patient. Like, really patient. Like, he is so unbothered by traffic, stupid drivers, and villain attacks, its kinda scary. But all the background checks came back clean. Minus his mad scientists parents, of course.

Daniel (Danny) Fenton. He could relate to any of the Wayne kids and hold an intelligent conversation with Bruce. Bruce feels that he doesn't need to be all Brucie Wayne around the young man. He doesn't know about their nightly activities yet, though. They're not quite sure if he even needs to know.

The first sign there was something more to Danny happened when Tim was sitting in the passenger seat. Tim was struggling with a math problem. It was driving him nuts. It only took a quick glance for Daniel to solve it, though, "it's thirty-six"

"What?"

"The answer is Thirty-six. You forgot to carry the three."

"Huh..."

He was right, Tim made a simple mistake, sure. But that was advanced college level math. Danny was a straight c student and never went to college. It only took him a momentary glance to solve it. Tim, though suspicious, chalked it up to a simple case of gifted kid syndrome. He related to it and began to consult with Danny on some of his math problems. Danny was more than happy to help, for a price, of course.

Then, there was a villain attack. The villain's goons ran rampant through the city, terrorizing anyone unfortunate enough to be outside at the time. But not Danny, they'll tried, oooh they tried. But those goons swiftly found themselves zip tied, in the trunk of a car, and on their way to jail. All while Danny blasted some music by a small artist named 'Ember'.

Alright. He is in Gotham, and his mother was a black belt, so maybe he was just well trained. Its good to know how to deffend yourself.

Then, Damien was kidnapped. It was so fast they barely saw, but a white van sped by and grabbed Damien as he made his way tawords the car. Initially, Damien expected the chauffeur to panic and call the police. But when shouting and cursing were heard from the front seat, and the men in the back slipped the van door open to check behind them, it was revealed Danny had followed them and he had a gun.

What could only be described as an action movie chase scene ensued. Every corner they swerved, every shortcut they took, Danny was right behind them. Driving like a bat out of hell, he shouted and fired at the wheels of the van. Knocking one out, the van swerved and was forced to come to a stop.

A kidnapper grabbed Damien by the hair and held a gun to his head, but before the threat could even leave his mouth a bullet flew through his hand. He dropped Damien and fell to the ground screaming, clutching his hand.

The kidnapper in the van already took off running but was swiftly stopped by Redhood arriving just in time to see Danny helping Damien up and checking him over, profusely apologizing for "letting this happen."

When asked why he did all of it, his simply answered, "I don't think I would get paid if I let Mr. Wayne's kid die! I can't let a kid die in general!"

Bruce, of course, gave the young man a bonus and a few days off for the stunt. Accompanied wlth a few stern words about safety. What was truly remarkable was that there was not a single scratch on the car. Untouched, meaning he never hit anything during the whole ordeal. "I just learned what not to do from my dad!" He joked, but Bruce felt that, despite the clear joking tone, there was some truth to the statement.

The family is suspicious, very suspicious. The man they previously viewed as their simple and humble driver turned out to be a monster of a fighter, and they have no idea how or why.

So, kinds nervous posting this for some reason, but I've been wantin to make my own interpretation of some different aus, but i wanted to do Ink first.

Sorry if it's not as creative as how some people design them, but i feel happy with how he came out

I have a hard time explaining my train of thoughts, so if it doesn't make sense I'm sorry I'm trying my best T-T

I was kinda inspired by the kidcore aesthetic and I wanted him to have a lot of saturated colors and paint smeared all over the place, just colorful chaos... I was also inspired by Sherbet ice cream. Don ask why idk it just came into mind while coloring :/

I didn't want to stray too far from their original outfit, but I just made alterations to fit my style a bit more and made it have some more round shapes. I also had a theme of stars and hearts in the outfit. The stars is somthin all the star sanses are gonna have as a theme (obviously), but the hearts is just in reference to his lack of having a soul.

They also have some stickers they stick on broomy that id like to think others gifted them. Same goes with the bracelets, he gets them as gifts from others and likes to traid some of them (I'm kinda projecting here lol). He's also got paint in his fingers cause I'd like to think that he finger paints a lot on random blank surfaces, especially blank white surfaces (again, projecting here)

Overall, its not much of a difference, and it's more of a self-indulgent thing i wanted to try. I hope that people can enjoy this as much as I enjoyed drawing it :)

I wanna talk about how Tim has a habit of contradicting himself, because I think it's interesting

Tim as Robin is viewed by Bruce as the reliable one- the one he can trust through and through because he doesn't lie

Tim as Robin is viewed by other hero's and his team as the one who can lie to batman- and will. He'll lie too other adults too if he wants to, and he won't get caught.

Tim looks kinda sickly? he doesn't look very threatening most of the time, partly on purpose. He hides some of his history, and some skills, and some fights, from the bats, if not everyone (Though I think the core four would know a lot of it)

Tim is not weak. Probably the Robin who has the most ability to wreck your shit, and multiple ways to do so. He's respected by the most likely candidates for most dangerous woman (Lady Shiva) and most dangerous man (Ra's), and for good reason.

Tim's 18th

I am. aware it's not Tim's birthday. Or maybe it is, I don't actually know it. Enjoy me attempting to write something for the first time.

Damian is surprised when Drake invites him too his birthday. He hadn't actually known Tim's 18th birthday had been coming up, he would've expected talk of it from someone.

He is further surprised to learn it is at the Kent farmhouse, the elder Kents hosting. "I'm having my party at the Kent's place. Not the manor. With Ma and Pa and Kon, that Kent house."

And he's.. interested, with that, so he asks. "Why not the manor? It's better equipped for partys."

Drake hesitates (probably too a degree someone without Damian's experience would have noticed) before responding, clearly leaving details out. "Just a bad birthday here, I guess. I had my last birthday there too."

Damian doesn't question it, no matter how curious it is. Instead, he asks about who else Tim is inviting. "Is the rest of our family coming as well?" (He's well aware that implies he's coming, but he is curious.)

"No, actually. Cass is invited, but she hasn't texted me back. My team'll be there, mostly. Kon is bringing Jon along, and he suggested I bring you." That's.. Not what he expected. He's mostly certain Drake's team is disbanded, also, yet he still refers to them as one. It makes sense that the idea to bring him along isn't Drake's.

"Not even father?"

Tim winces. "Definitely not Bruce."

As odd as that is, he finds no need to ask. Instead, he simply nods his head, and says: "I'll come along, I believe."

Tim seems a little relieved, and says his thanks. (Does this mean he needs to get Drake a gift? He doesn't know what to get him. Maybe he'll ask Grayson.)

"Thanks, demon brat. I'll drop by around ten that day so we can head out." And he's gone. Well, he has a week or two to prepare, at least.

I need too figure out how I want to write literally anyone else, but I'll (probably) write the birthday party part later

Sentient Gotham - Claims

In an AU where gotham is sentient, I think Tim would actually have quiet a strong connection to it.

Obviously Bruce has a strong connection to the city- it's in his blood and spirit. But, I think within the bats Tim would have the second strongest.

For as much as Bruce is gotham, so is Tim. Sure, the Wayne's have done a lot more from the city, but I don't think Tim's linage is why he would have such a close connection.

Tim's spent more of his childhood - and teens - in the city than Bruce. Especially when it comes to the darker parts of gotham.

Bruce was off training for most off his teens (I think? my sources are mostly fic) and the majority of his younger life is Bristol, the slightly nicer suburbs.

Tim was mostly in Bristol too, until he started his photography (stalking) of the bats when he was eight. And Tim likes hanging around the rougher parts of the city. He'd follow the bat, yeah, but he'd hang around places like crime alley and the bowery because he likes them. I like too think he'd come around during the daytime as well- he already knew some of the people.

By the time Bruce adopts Tim, he had already been claimed by the city. The rest of Bruce's kids didn't get claimed until he took them in, and still.

It took a while for Gotham to acknowledge Dick- he was foreign, and not gotham at all. Probably around 11 or 12 was when he was claimed.

Jason got claimed much faster. It hadn't even taken a half a year before Gotham had claimed him. (He was left without the feeling of that claim for a while after he was revived. He gets it back eventually, once he re-accepts his place in the family.

Tim got his either right before, or soon after Jason died, I think. Before fits better, I think. When Bruce finds out Tim's already been claimed by Gotham, and, at the point he realizes, probably related to the Titan Tower thing, that it's so intense. His other kids had brought it up to him when they got claimed, so he assumed Tim hadn't been, but in reality, he just claimed before he was even Robin.

Cass gets claimed a little before she gets adopted. It helps. And, she fits in well with Gotham and it's shadows, after all.

Damian gets claimed almost as soon as Gotham learns of him- the first time he enter Gotham to find his father. He asks Dick about it at some point, but also partially assumed it was just part of Gothams supposed cursedness- Taila had been very sure of the city being cursed.

Anyway, I like Tim, the idea that he spends more time in Gotham, true Gotham, not the suburbs- and that that's made him have a closer connection.
