Heya, I know I’m not active here much anymore, but have an art tutorial from my main! 

hi there! i recently found ur page and i am in love with ur lost in space robots, do you have like a specific process/tutorial on how to draw them??? ty!

This is more of a breakdown of my observations as to how they are put together that rapidly became an excuse to draw more noodle aliens- but thanks anon!

So I'm rewatching the netflix "lost in space" series and I just caught the tiniest detail that broke my heart in the season 2 finale. Theres two parts, one obvious and one so slight I barely noticed but together, oooo ow my heart.

So early in it the robot stops dr. Smith from running away alone; she asks him for a good reason not to, and the lights of his face make five bright dots that come together into an even bigger one, pretty clearly meaning the robinsons and that family was his reason to stay in the face of danger.

Later when theres impending doom needing to be stopped, dr.smith asks the robot if it can go in the danger zone (he cant because obvious reasons, so its kinda rhetorical) to which the robot makes the single bright light that he used for the 'family' moment earlier, and his makes smith get in her spacesuit to risk her life to save the day. The tiny part that kills me and barely noticed was that as the robot turns away from her, the big light splits into SIX dots.

As soon as dr.smith was willing to put her life on the line in place of one of the robinsons the robot considers her a part of the family. He's able to sense peoples emotions and stuff, and his lights for family change before she even starts gearing up. It was the littlest detail but I love it so much!

More seriously, I finished the last episode of the third season, like, twenty minutes ago, and by the stars it was glorious. What an eventful ride! Can't believe that it doesn't have more attention albeit being on Netflix

I'm not as late in the fandom as I usually am for others (hi OFF, hi Leijiverse) though, and I'm using this timing to claim my existence on here ;)

Anyways, I will, maybe, eventually, make content here and there, mostly because it cruelly needs some more — drawings, which are my forte (although the robots have a fairly complicated design, oof--)

idk if there's a lost in space fandom on here and I don't care. I have psychoanalized the robots

(spoilers up to S3E3)

so at the beginning it seems like Robot's lights turn red to signify that he's Evil™ and blue to signify that he's Good™, but as time goes on we're given the information to realize that's not true. red lights don't mean "evil," they just mean "ready to fight." conversely, blue lights don't mean "good," they mean "calm."

anyways this is just a very long-winded way of saying that we never ever see Scarecrow with blue lights, because he was severely traumatized by the lobotomy thing. his lights stay red because he's always on the defensive. even when he was working with them and knew the machine had been destroyed, he had his guard up the whole time. and in the end it was the other robots that did him in.

First of all, I love how they leave so much room for imagining at the end.

You can just imagine all the worlds Will and Robot will see and explore. (also leaves room for a possible spinoff series about Will and Robot's adventures)

I love how penny writes her book, bringing the story to a close.

Note about that, she writes "The End... of Chapter One"!!! Wich, though it likely doesn't mean much for an actuallity of more of the show, lets us know she plans to have many more adventures!

And all the alien bots now free and helping the humans or finding things out themselves.

And then SAR becoming Robot through Will's heart gives me thoughts of the possibility of SAR still existing in Robot, just not in power, which gives more thoughts about Will and Robot's adventures!

All in all, its a lot of thoughts

I hope in the future that they continue with more Robinson adventures! In my mind, in the open ending, Scarecrow gets revived because POOR GUY

He deserved a section of time to rest, he had literally no breathing room throughout all three seasons.

I love the idea that SAR is still alive! He was such a cool villain and I would not be opposed to seeing more of him - possibly him getting dragged kicking and screaming into becoming part of the Robinson family ideally, but that would probably take another three-season character arc to get it through his thick skull

We do love our murder boy tho

I have said it before and I’ll say it again!!! I love Don West. I love how he actually is one of the most selfless people in LIS. Mostly I refer to all the times he goes out of his way to help someone when he could easily just leave them to their fate. Even if he does not know them at all. He doesn’t have to be close to them at all to want to help. He’s just a good guy. I mean, it’s also funny how he says he wont help out loud as he’s helping anyway. lol. He is just -chef’s kiss-.

He’s just so good. I love him. I love him so much. Such a good heart in that man.

Just finished the show and SO MANY THOUGHTS

Welcome to the fandom, we have robots and many many tears!

For real though, it's always nice to see new people getting into this little gem of a show-

One, im sorry for the note dump on your blog.

Two, this blog needs to stop making me cry, but im totally here for the emotion that is Lost In Space so the tears are all worth it.

I guess i should ask something. Favorite episode?

Don't worry about it, it's always fun to see someone fall down the same rabbit hole that I have, and it's totally worth the tears!

My favorite episode is, no doubt, S2 E9 Shell Game

There is so much going on but it's all compressed down so well - every individual character has their own agency and development happening concurrently and interacting with each other.

Hastings shows his true colors and throws John and Maureen out the proverbial airlock, leaving the remaining Robinsons without their support system. With Hastings hot on their trail and Dr. Smith getting back into form, helping him with a double-double cross- the Robinson children are forced to take the helm without the guidance of their parents. And they FLOURISH! The three scenes we get of them shows how much they have grown and developed as characters over the last two seasons.

Will finally following Robot and his choices, helping him do what is right and save Scarecrow, being a good friend and accepting change - directly influencing Penny to do the same with Vijay in the stairwell scene (cue Will being the heart of the Robinson family, their compass. I JUST- HMMMM- LOVE THIS SHOW).

Judy is grappling with her shaken faith in her mother's choices (cheating to get Will on board) and handles it beautifully - without shaking her siblings faith in their parents, while also pushing them to grow into their responsibilities.

All the while you have Adler coming to grips with Robot's possible sentiency, and the terrible things he'd done to Scarecrow over the past few years because of his denial. All to get home to his family. And now, all Hastings is asking him to do is to be in denial a little bit longer.

Judy and Penny driving the stolen Chariot down the halls of the Resolute is so bonkers-insane and completely Robinsonesque-

Don (after nearly dying again, resting) "Is something wrong?" (lays back and closes his eyes in exasperation with the universe and every Robinson in it) "What am I talking about of course there's something wrong."

Adler's complete and total paradigm shift and his face of realization-

S2 E10 Gets major credit for following through with the energy and giving us THAT Scarecrow fight scene, but Shell Game absolutely wins in my book.
