Oh Venom was hungry tonight, not only for mere bloodshed but a good meal. It was rather kind of Sterling to let it roam just about free range on food. 

It narrowed its eyes, crawling down the side of the wall on all fours, staying in the shadows as it sniffed the air. A low hum, slinking around the side of the building to web swing and jump from each, staying hidden as white eyes glowed in the night.

It pried open a vent on the side of the ‘abandoned’ warehouse, crawling in despite it’s size to come out at the end, stared face down in the middle of it. It’s eyes shined again, tongue hanging out.

{ ‘There has to be a lot in here, we smell the fear. The fear of being caught...’ }

“Yeah, I know. Something’ll pop up, I guess. Still. Don’t feel great.” He said.

Maybe he was just tired? It had been a big day. But still.

“I dunno. Maybe a hug? ..Could use some affection-” he mumbled, a little embarrassed to admit.

A low chuckle from the alien, tendrils branching out into smaller feelers, gripped around his lap.

‘You humans crave affection too much, I swear... But I won’t deny you, Eddie.’

A small shift of itself, forming a more torso for a body with arms to hug around Eddie, pooling in his lap as it licked along his neck up to his cheek.

The other did purr slightly, having picked up from hearing that old pet Eddie used to have, sometimes visiting. Their white patches closing near tight as their tongue came out to wrap around the back of his hand, squirming through the interlock of his forefinger and middle fingers.

‘We will get on just fine, Eddie. You know that. There’s always jobs for humans, all of you run around like a scurrying mess of ants I swear... But- Don’t call us sentimental but don’t give up hope, cause someone sure as hell might as well tell you that.’

It reared up, tongue retracting to curl up against his chest, head back as it looked at him, jaw firmly close, teeth peeking out.

‘What can we do to make you feel better?’

Today just wasn’t his day. He’d flunked two job interviews, lost his wallet and managed to tear his new slacks.

When he arrived home, Eddie slumped down on the couch, sighing as he leaned his head back, staring at the stained ceiling.

“You can come out now. Nobody’s around.” He mumbled.

If he was honest, he wanted a hug.

The symbiote slithered out into his lap, long and thick as it curled it’s head around, tongue hanging out between fangs.

‘Something on your mind, Eddie? We observed the whole day, didn’t seem to go too well to your standards.’

It stuck worse than goo, having a slight warm feel to it as it crawled up around his legs, curling against them to get up to his chest.

It was either not listening or couldn’t understand him, but it wasn’t stopping.

It wasn’t until finally it got to his chest, sinking through the fabric and yet not leaving any ink stain marks.

The symbiote sighed, but it wasn’t about to deny it’s lover. A long snake came out from his shoulder to peek around and look at him without any features as if it was afraid.

A solemn tone to the symbiote’s voice, as it came down it was a much more darker and gritter version of Brock’s.
