"It felt a lot like lying down in the snow and looking up at the stars, when you could see nothing but the sky above you. It was dizzying, how small it made her feel to gaze at a sea of shining lights, too many to fathom, but too beautiful to look away. It had always filled her with longing. Yue looked at the stars, and yearned for the freedom to explore them. She could have cried with how much she wanted to sail through the stars, away from the troubles of this mortal coil. The night sky called to her; just like the sea always seemed to whisper her name, murmuring about freedom and belonging."
