was waiting for dinner and put together a captioned version of moritz's lil soliloquy (specifically the west end 15th anniversary show where he's portrayed by jack wolfe)

one of my favorite things about next to normal is Natalie's hair!!

I love how throughout the show her hair reflects her relationships but more importantly her mental state and how she is feeling about her life. And it makes sense as well because it's likely how someone would style their hair in these moments. It's also just really pretty, I love all of how she styled but her hair just looks so good!!

In the beginning of the show we see her hair in a messy bun, at this point she feels like she has a pretty set path in life, she has her early admission to college and while chaotic her life is somewhat predictable. Her hair clearly reflects this, it is kept out of her face and together but it's not a neat bun, it's messy enough to show how the chaos is a huge presence. She just put it in a bun to keep it out of her face, so she can see clearly because her future is bright and she sees what is ahead for her. The pencil in it also shows that she has this focus on school because home gets overwhelming often so she tries to distract herself with schoolwork.

And then pretty suddenly in act 2 her hair is down, she doesn't slowly let it down and that's very intentional. Her life fell apart so quickly, she messed up her chance at college in her concert, her mother tried to kill herself to go live with her dead brother, her mother is now also now getting electrocuted to treat her mental illnesses, Natalie has quickly become addicted to drugs, and started clubbing all night every night to the point her boyfriend has to drag her home. Her life is a mess, and her hair is all over the place we even see her whipping it around further showing the mess that it gets into. And when Diana comes home from the hospital she quickly smoothes her hair out to look put together for her mom. If she were clubbing every night and regularly getting very high she likely wouldn't really think about putting her hair up, so she just lets is cover her face and get in the way of her seeing, once again reflecting her outlook on the world in this moment, she can't see a future for herself and so she throws her life away...

And in the end she puts her hair in a nice style for the dance, pinning the front few stands back. Her life is still crazy and hectic and unknown but there is something out there for her, and she can see that. Her future is still waiting for her she has no way of knowing what it will be but it's out there and there will be light again. And Henry is the one who drags her out of the house for this dance so, while I personally hate Henry, it does show how he was the one who got her out of her quickly forming bad habits. Her hair is out of her face enough that she can see but it's not fully up, she doesn't feel like she did in the beginning, things are more uncertain that they ever were, and her hair can still get in her face but it's a lot harder because there is a future out there for her.

have the highlights of me and my friend hating on Henry for 20 minutes straight (#1 Henry haters)

-i’m sad natalie isn’t wlw. like henry is so fucking disgusting

-no cuz he's so pushy about their relationship and Natalie is clearly trying to get some space and time to herself and process what is happening in her family and he just disregards all of that and shoves his way into her life when she specifically says she doesn't want him there

-he’s creepy, his love confession was very sudden and strange, he was lowkey stalking her and listening to her in the music room, and he got her hooked on drugs which he then got mad at her for being a drug addict now

-he is so pushy like take a hint fucker she clearly needs space

-she doesn’t need a boyfriend chasing after her and pressuring her she just needs a friend or someone to actually comfort her instead of just be like 'oh ur sad? let’s get high you’ll feel better 🫶🫶'

-and everyone is like oh well it was good for her in the end. NO. literally she says that he is actively a problem in her life "but at least he's her favorite problem" NO. YK WHY?? BECAUSE HER LIFE IS A FUCKING MESS (not her fault) AND SHE CAN'T HANDLE ANOTHER THING PUTTING PRESSURE ON HER AS WE LITERALLY FUCKING SEE

-HE DOESN'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND CONSENT OR SOCIAL AWARENESS. LIKE IDFAF HOW AUTISTIC CODED THAT IS. HAVE SOME HUMAN FUCKING DECENCY.

-there’s a difference between not understanding social cues and disregarding them.

-Yeah especially because she says that she doesn't want to do drugs because she's afraid they will ruin her life like how it did to her mother...BUT GUESS WHO GIVES HER DRUGS ANYWAYS. THAT'S RIGHT! FUCKING HENRY

-fr like you don’t have to keep going after she clearly said no MULTIPLE TIMES YOU JACKASS

-Because he's literally just refusing to listen every single fucking time she tells him to give her some space and time to process

-Also when she asks him whether her parents are there or not and he just goes 'yeah probably idfk' SHE'S CLEARLY LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER AND YOU'VE LITERALLY MET HER PARENTS SHE'S CLEARLY NOT EXCITED TO SEE YOU BECAUSE SHES SO WORRIED HER PARENTS ARE GOING TO MISS HER PERFORMANCE... AGAIN.

-Cuz Henry is basically threatening that he's going to stay while Natalie is asking him to leave. And with Dan it's him trying to remind Diana of the relationship they used to have and how things can be okay again

-the dan part at least makes sense and had a good meaning even if it doesn’t sound great henry is just oh! what?! pushing boundaries???? again?!?! who could have FUCKING GUESSED‼️

And my personal favorite:

-I'm glad someone finally agrees that Henry is a shit person and Natalie deserves better (a woman)

Diana mentions Gabe's blue eyes even though Jack Wolfe has brown eyes, and while yes this could very well be just the fact that Jack Wolfe has brown eyes, I think about how it could be that she's starting to forget, even before the treatment it's been so long that her memories are fading and blurring so she doesn't remember his eye color clearly anymore.

the people(my friend) have spoken to me and I wish to give my thoughts. Yes Fable as Dan, I hear you....but what if I hate him....what if that's my only reasoning...

Would it make more sense because he is Icarus's dad...yeah, probably. Would it make more sense because he would never really understand Diana's illness like how fable never really payed attention to isla....also yes. Would it make more sense because in the end Isla would leave him for enderian...still probably yes.

But I just don't like that car salesman so I banish him from the plot >:(

next to normal fable AU but it's Isla(as Diana) trying to cope with the death of her child (icarus) and ignoring Rae(as Natalie) in the process...and enderian(as Dan) is trying to be supportive but also didn't like icarus and tries to no bring it up ever but in the end she realizes that she needed to admit that she did care about them and that they were not the same as fable, and Caspian (as Henry) finds Rae and learns about his brother and is trying to be as supportive as he can while Rae tries to push him away. And icarus (as Gabe) died before ever becoming quixis, Midas didn't pull them fast enough and they died, so Isla imagines who he could have been... perhaps both good and bad versions of them.

less than 24 hours left and here are my thoughts and I guess final propaganda?

I don't like raetross. I'll say it. I'm not a Raetross fan and I never have been. So I'm not really a castle trio fan either because it's essentially canon relationships plus raetross. Even if we ignore that I don't like raetross it still feels like a mostly canon ship to me, considering that Rae and fenris are dating and fenris are centross are dating, which doesn't feel like it should win the non canon ship bracket.

That being said I don't think prison duo should really win either, they won a QPR last time and while yes this is a romantic relationship this time, it's still the same ship. While I do think it's a better ship, and I honestly love prison duo, I still think the fact it won already lowers my want to vote for it.

Basically I just want lesbians, really any lesbians, distinct lack of women in the final poll (I guess icarus finally killed them all /j)
