My daughter likes girls. My wife wants to help. She suggests Hello Kitty-themed attire, because "women like that."
Now when my daughter's crew shows up: "Hey we're going out! Be sure to wear your bitch-catchin' fit!"

Balls I need you to tell Father Balls that he’s a legend and icon, and that I will never forget the words ‘mashallah sister arwen has embraced the hijab’. Please. Please tell him.
I just did and in case you wonder where I get it from, *gestures below* (jannah means heaven, or in this case, Valinor)

Recently I've been hearing about the "death of literary fiction."
This is a category of fiction where characters have real-world problems, such as cancer, dealing with middle age and arguing with relatives.
Why would anyone mourn this? First of all, genre fiction, that is, something like romantasy, is from a much older literary tradition. Monsters, ghosts, people getting horribly killed, obnoxious gods running around...this is the good shit and has been since Gilgamesh.
"Readers lack taste these days," is one of the rallying cries of literary fiction.
Screw that noise, noob. Talk to me when your main character solves a cozy mystery with the aid of her cat, or your cancer-ridden MC gets around it by uploading his consciousness into a gunslinger robot with antimatter slugs. Cool stories sell.
This attitude keeps kids from reading. Boring isn't good. Boring isn't good!

As a game making person, I had to try Marvel Rivals. It's a hero shooter like Overwatch; the characters talk and make Marvel jokes to each other, with the exception of Groot, who perpetually introduces himself.
My favorite character is a healer named Jeff the Land Shark, a kind of cute fish puppy. He can "swim" underground, so his fin pokes up through the surface. When he does this, he hums the theme to "Jaws." Beauty.

Note
Stew is liquid salad
According to wikipedia:
A salad is a dish consisting of mixed ingredients, frequently vegetables. They are typically served chilled or at room temperature, though some can be served warm.
So technically speaking, yes. If we go by this definition, a stew does count as a salad.

I read this and its sequel when they came out. The aliens were actually really good people, and the book spent a lot of time on how their tech had this crazy user interface that worked with their physiology.

Word from someone who's been here before
Don't share your feelings about the election online, not for a while. Trolls will drink it in like the finest of wine.
