bold, assertive, a leader. Words never used to describe Kyra, but consistently used to describe her mother. Mrs. Crawford was a woman who was skilled at making room for herself in various circles, a skill she had learned from her own mother and somehow failed to pass down to Kyra. Where her mother would be more adamant about making her voice heard, Kyra would stay silent until there was an opportunity to speak up. If she could even beat herself up enough to actually say speak her mind.

Always interested in how the world works, a science and book nerd (which she now admits she was) her only goal was to end up in a career where she felt like she’d learn more about the world and how it works.

College was all about trying to get out of her comfort zone, trying to be more like her mother, trying to make friends, just being different. About 6 months in, she realized that wasn’t realistic. Well all of it wasn’t realistic. She did learn to put down her books and computer more and actually step out of her place.

A minor in public health, a bachelor of science in biology, Kyra was ready to burst into the job field. Not really but she was somewhat prepared with a job lined up. Then shit hit the fan. In the span of a few months, she lost an aunt, a friend, and her mom had a health scare.

The job she was offered had been in a different city and with less faith in the world, she turned it down, moved back home and started waiting tables. Though her parents continuously advised against it, her father was more than able to take care of his wife.

Kyra eventually moved out 3 years later, finding a somewhat decent job still in Oklahoma but further away from home, getting her own apartment.

Volunteering in a hospital by her apartment had once again triggered her interest in science, specifically health care but with a biology degree there wasn’t much she could do without starting school again and she had no idea exactly what she wanted to do. The only company willing to hire her was a small business in Denver. Reluctantly she moved to Klover.

Kyra’s been in Klover for about 3 years, recently she’s decided to pursue the career of being a physician’s assistant, so Ky has returned back to school full time. She’s in the summer of her first year and as a tutor.

Caleb Terrell Joyner wasn’t even born in the States. Although his parents are American from the truest definition, the first 8 years of his life were spent in England

CJ cares more about preserving peace than anything else, so he’ll do many things he can to avoid it. Some call it youngest child of 4 syndrome, where you just can’t be bothered. He prefers life this way, it’s easier when everyone’s getting along.

He played football, or soccer as Americans wrongly continue to call it, for most of his life. So much so, that it got him a trip to college, not that he really needed it. His parents had enough money to send him if he needed them to.

CJ is loyal to his friends, his family, and anyone he’s dating. He’s rarely in a relationship though. He’s always focused on his friends and family especially his career, to date anyone. He’s also not completely trusting that people aren’t gold diggers.

Although he went to school in the States, once her had his degree, he went back to England to play for a league. Only being able to play on smaller division 3 leagues, he decided the U.S. was again his best bet, plus his family was still here, in California.

With friends and connections around, he found himself playing for L.A. Galaxy, which he played on for 3 seasons before he was injured.

Midst recovering from his hip flexor sprain at the end of the season, he discovered he had been traded to the Colorado Rapids, a team not as talented in his opinion.

CJ didn’t recover as quickly as he had personally planned, though his PT had told him to not over-work. He far from listened, though he had already moved to Denver in preparation to start training early for the season.

Realizing he wasn’t ready to start playing again, he found himself taking over Klover high school’s soccer team. A way to keep himself active, try to recover, and continue to do what he loves. He hopes to only be here for a semester though.

Gavin has been baking since his mother started putting him on the table besides her as she cooked. There was a lot of smacking of his hand. Who trusts a child to not put their hand in the bowl? He’s ingested a lot of cookie dough in his time. He’s better at that now… sorta.

His father loved eating, his mother loved cooking, they were a match made in heaven. While he loved eating whatever his mother cooked, her deserts were always the best, in his opinion. Cookies and bars especially. Salted caramel bars remain his favorite thirty something years later.

He never realized he could make money at it, his mom was always volunteering to cook for people, making snacks for bake offs but always giving people what they wanted for free, even if they tried to pay her. She’d sneak the money back into their hands. So making money off of things he was good at, was never an idea until Gavin got his first job. His mother said she never had a business mind.

Gavin applied to many schools, one culinary school, which was the last school he applied to. It was the first acceptance he got and the last one opened, for fear of rejection. Even after he got in, he questioned if it was a fluke. It wasn’t.

When the old couple who owned Klover’s bakery reached out to his mom to offer him a job, Gavin didn’t think twice about taking the job. He worked besides them for 3 years before they fully passed the business over to him.

Slowly but surely he re-designed the business, making sure to keep some of their original designs. It had been in their family line for years and he didn’t want to completely destroy it even if it was his now.

Twice a month he offers baking courses for adults and couples and once a week he offers classes for kids and their parents, but focuses on the kids. You can sign up and pay for one class or book the next five sessions in advance.

Violet was born in Klover, she’s never understood why her parents went there or spent so long there. Though she loved being there, the friends she made, the small town, the community she had built. So yes, when her parents decided to move away from Klover to New York, she was in tears, but it was the best thing for her future.

The move had occurred right before freshman year of high-school, so from a small city, small school to a large city and a public school with more students than probably stars in the sky, it was easy for Vi to be overwhelmed. Though overwhelmed, she had always been great at making friends everywhere or at least adding to her list of ‘friends’ and having people she could rely on later.

Spring semester of Sophmore year of college, Violet  stumbled into a fashion buying class.Econ was no where as interesting and easier to catch up on later, so she sat through the course, taking notes and all. The next day the counselor’s office was open, she was asking to switch her major. What the hell was accounting going to do for her? Although her counselor made it clear that with her previous courses, none would transfer and she’s have to stay an extra two and a half years, Violet only took that as a challenge.

If you ask her, she definitely won that challenge. Somehow, someway, some will say she bribed, truth is she took more classes than suggested, did as many online courses as she could (tired cried herself to sleep) and managed to graduate with the rest of her class mates.

Staying in the fashion capital of the world made applying for internships easier and so did the competitiveness in her.

She’s been waiting for her boss to give her the chance to really shine and not just play second fiddle to her co-workers who have been in her company longer, but that’ll have to wait.

Violet has just returned to Klover a few days ago to settle some family business, as her parents had moved back to Klover shortly after she started college.

Her patience is running, but she can’t physically go back to work until her family said she can.
