I remember 4 or 5 years ago telling people I couldn’t help their adult pit bull bc no rescues will take them. Now a days it’s hard to find help for 3 month old puppies.

As much as I’ve decided to quit rescue 😭 I know the shit won’t quit me so I’m going to bring back the “diary” to help get it out of my system if I can. Be prepared for some real MAD pit bs 😆❤️

Problem when people drop pups dogs off in woods stop put on side road in country hard know who did it or catch them that’s huge problem. We could figure that out catch them problem solved if can get law behind us. may not can do anything cause got catch them. Yes we need law behind us if we do. Those do it never go by law anyway so hard catch them. No matter how hard try want catch them All. I agree it’s huge problem I’m in in anything can stop this abuse, and starving dogs pups there everywhere. It’s gotten worse that I’ve ever seen it in my 70 years. I agree it’s problem I’d love catch one lock his ass up set bowl water food outside pen let see it and smell for boit 3-4 weeks when heat index was like 117. I’ve said enough but I could go on and on. Prayers for all dogs pups cats kittens out there now starving waiting on their friend come back get them ❤️

If we support great dog breeders whose dogs NEVER end up in shelters, and stop with the "adopt don't shop" nonsense, that will hurt the bybs. I know that purebred dogs end up in shelters, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about really great breeders who go to any extent to guarantee their puppies don't go to shelters. I know a local breeder who has made multiple cross country trips to pick up dogs they produced because they were at risk of being surrendered. Those people are rare, which is why they should be supported instead of treated like villains. I know multiple breeders I would bet every penny I own would never knowingly have a dog end up in a shelter and would do anything necessary to prevent it. They get my full support. And those breeders can put lots of bybs out of business, but not if everyone is screaming "adopt don't shop" at everyone who wants a new puppy. The correct mantra should be "Adopt or shop so you get the right dog for you!" I know we agree on that, but that attitude is extremely rare in rescue circles. Rescues need to be far more educated about dog breeding and what makes a truly great breeder. Great dog breeders are the best partners rescues could possibly ever have.

Alright guys here’s what’s wrong with this 😩 adopt don’t shop definitely includes especially not shopping with Back Yard Breeders!! Like we don’t need good breeders to help put them out of business we can’t take the dogs any of them are making. Shelters and rescues are full. JT knows good breeders that would do anything to keep their dogs out of shelters awesome we DO THE SAME FOR OUR RESCUE BABIES I know plenty rescuers that drive across country multiple times to keep their dogs safe too… THIS ISNT A FLEX this is proof expensive dogs nicely bred dogs need to be rehomed and rescued just like the rest of them. But making more dogs is never going to be the way to go. We need said breeders to help us save the millions that are already alive and need our help now. And we need our shelters and rescues to perform like said ethical breeders keeping up with and caring about their dogs!! Fixing every flipping dog in the process. Dogs out number ppl 7 to 1 so if you haven’t gotten 7 dogs fixed yet get to donating. Anybody making dogs is a villain in my book. If you like a breed help us save them I’m positive your rescue will be more fulfilling than your kennel ever was. But yes way more work and way more dogs and way less money.
