Avoiding something is hard enough as it is, but avoiding something that can virtually be anywhere is the greater task.

It’s like an addiction, you try pushing the thought of it away, yet you find yourself tangled up in finding it anywhere around you. This was Painsley’s problem. He lived for fashion, and that addiction was blatantly everywhere in the industry. It wasn’t his own addiction though, it was his mother’s. Ever since he was a little kid, one idea was ingrained into his mind every day. Not just by her words or actions, but by his house, his lifestyle, how she raised him to be.

As much as he hated that sort of mentality that he was raised upon, he didn’t want to give up his passion just because he didn’t favor seeing eye to eye with his mother. It was hard enough to be a male in an industry filled with women, but he was going to do whatever it took to reach the top, even if that meant a little deception and mischief.

Be the one who does something first, because if you’re second—you’re a follower.

Growing up with a family that was mainly filled with canines was definitely something else for the Radcliffe kids. Their parents were so invested with animals, that it became a part of their children’s lives as well. George had a natural act of caring for every animal that stepped foot into the house, or—paw. But then again, George was good with anything or anyone. He was the type of person who leaped up to help anyone in need, regardless of the situation or the consequences.

Though helping out everyone isn’t always the best thing to do, it’s a dog eat dog world out there. When people are shown that they can receive help in almost any circumstance, they become dependent and incapable. George has yet to realize such a thing, his mind was too caught up in helping others when honestly, he needed to put himself first. There’ll come a day when someone enlightens him—his heart.

how active are you guys?

We aren’t as active as we’d hope to be, but we are currently in the process of cleaning up around here and undergoing a few changes! Our members are quote good with keeping the dash lively, though.

You may think you’re on the back burner, but in reality, you’re not even a part of the equation.

There always has to be that one person who sees the negatives in every little thing. How a bright, sunny day could become some form of global warming or a simple cup of hot chocolate can become a path to diabetes. Yeah, that’s a pessimist, but in a positive light, they pay very close attention to detail. When Regina was younger, her mother always made it a part of their routine to see every item in their house was in their correct position, though for no particular reason.

It became a habit for Regina, like clockwork each day she looked around her own place now, seeing if all of her belongings were still in tact with her life. People saw her as odd, and a tad bit misleading from her job title. She didn’t mind it though, she was who she was, and didn’t care for people’s opinions. Though along with not caring came disagreement, hatred, and irritation.

Keep it simple and realistic and you’ll never need much to get by.

Despite having connections in high places, Tobias, or “Toby” as he preferred to be called, was raised having a simple lifestyle. His parents never taught him to value material things, but rather to relish in the experiences around him. To live in the moment and never take anything for granted. Toby grew up with a lot of freedom and although his grandparents were nothing but pure of heart, they still had to live up to their social graces, which was the one thing he could never escape.

But Toby learned from his mother at a young age how to find the good in everything and everyone and despite being dragged into cotillions and fundraisers, the one thing he enjoyed and found the beauty in most was going off to the races. Not for the floppy Sunday hats or brunch mimosas like the many girls he dated had enjoyed, but for the horses. He loved watching them race, no surprise to his father, and after his first riding lesson, he fell in love. Now, as a stable hand at a local farm and race track, he’s finding that life couldn’t get any better having the best of both the city and the country.

When you want to be something to someone, but that someone is lost somewhere.

One of your many interests always holds the top place in your mind, regardless of the time or place, you’re still thinking. Singling out one thought though is where difficulty reigns in for most, unless you’re a very focused and centered being, you can’t achieve a mind at rest. Rory found plenty of time to train his mind to focus on one sole thing; sitting on a bench in any exhibit at the museum he worked at.

Going home early meant nothing to him because home to him was a house filled with dead memories and his brother that passed by him in the halls maybe every few days or so. After their father’s death, Charlie pulled away from Rory and didn’t give him the time of day. It hurt to see his older brother bond with someone else, rather than his bloodline. That’s why Rory hid away from time to time at the museum, filling his mind with knowledge instead of memories to bring back his sadness.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

There were a lot of things wrong in Tréan’s world. He wasn’t dealt the best hand in life and he had to grow up quickly at a young age, but the way he saw it, he could either waste his time trying to fix everything or just create a new, better life for himself. When his father died, he and his younger brother Rory were left to fend for themselves under the watch of their poor, despondent aunt and uncle whom Tréan resented entirely along with Rory for his own selfish reasons. He knew he could get further in life, he knew he deserved better than what he was given and was determined to turn it around.

Tréan became dangerous, he joined a group of motorcyclists operating under organized crime. He made a name for himself, becoming infamous for his skill with cars and motors and most of all, his driving and he soon became a transporter for criminals. After receiving his cut off of a multi-million dollar ransom deal, he decided to lay low and open his own shop, fixing cars and motors and investing in a bar. But just became he left his life of crime, that didn’t mean his secrets and decisions from the past weren’t waiting for their moment to arise.

When an opportunity comes knocking at your door, you’re supposed to take it and run.

This wasn’t the case for Tara. Early on in her life, she was introduced to freedom; she could do whatever she wanted, live however she wanted and be whoever she wanted. That was every kids’ dream when they were growing up, wasn’t it? But Tara wasn’t looking for any of that, she just wanted to learn and grow to her parents’ expectations. Her grandmother was proud of her because of this, following in her footsteps, but the world has changed since her grandmother’s time.

Tara was intrigued by the wild and the wild to her was everything in the world because you couldn’t be too sure of things at first glance. She wanted to learn about almost everything, especially how the human mind worked and how society could try to function as one working piece. Although, some of the things she would come to learn weren’t going to be ideal. It’s a cruel world and she’s just living in it.

Most right minded people would protect whom they love day in and day out. 

No matter the circumstances, some people are willing to risk anything or drop whatever they have for whoever needs them. If we lived in a world filled with these types of people, we’d be better off. Ramsey was the typical older brother, protective of his younger sister, his one and only--sibling for that matter. Even after he moved out of the family home, he still constantly visits, wanting to make sure that the most important people in his life were okay.

Ramsey was a family man, hands down. He couldn’t wait to start a family of his own, but that was years away in his plans. Right now, he wanted to focus on his work at the hunting shop. In just a year, he moved management ranks at a steady pace, his boss enjoying his extensive knowledge and great attitude towards the whole shop. Maybe he could make a difference if he were to join as a council member as well.

Make do with what you have, and borrow what won’t be given.

It’s easy to get by in the world if your looks play a major role to everyone around you. All of their eyes on you, yet they still don’t seem to see through your heavy lies and unstable promises. Jacqueline, the youngest of Sparrow’s kids, and most unfortunate seeing as she was named after her father, didn’t have much parental guidance growing up. With her father gone most of the time, and her mother completely out of the picture, she was unsure of who she actually was.

Having no one to look up to, not even her older brother, led her to become just like her father. Untrustworthy to others and even herself. In all honesty, she just wants to find someone to rely on, but her past won’t let her present live free.
