I have to pretend Spencer saying ‘the second I see his face I’m going to kill him[scratch]’ is an empty threat as a result of his desensitisation to violence ( because of the job and his time in prison ), mainly because if it isn’t that and he’s being serious then the writers have made him say stupid shit he wouldn’t say for ppl to thirst over!!! Like, if he’s being serious that means the writers have completely forgotten the BAU’s general code of conduct which seems to be not to kill unless you have to, and mayyybe if I’m giving the writers the benefit of the doubt then that scene is them hinting at him not being mentally stable enough to handle the job anymore, but I know they weren’t thinking abt it that hard like💔 PLUS even in prison when Spencer did have to get violent, it was still following that ‘only if you have to’ rule, like throughout the show he’s never been the violent one, they just did it to appeal to fans and I’m STILL mad about it

Moving from Criminal minds Twitter to tumblr was so magical because cmtwt is soooo nasty and aggressive and more focused on the actors and their personal lives than the show itself. I didn’t even realise how much it bugged me until I moved to tumblr and everyone was just talking abt the show instead of fighting and it felt like reaching the promised land

Genuinely why did they try and retcon everyone into believing JJ and Spencer r best friends?? Don’t get me wrong like they’re totally friends but I feel like he’s been shown to be more close to Garcia, Morgan etc (basically most of the other characters I’m ngl) throughout the show. They totally only changed it because of the weird Jeid confession but like bro I’m not falling for it what could they possibly have to talk about other than the job??? Garcia and Emily both liked to talk abt nerdy stuff with him but JJ got pissy with him about it like damn girl how is he ur best friend when u hate him speaking… Sure, maybe they were close in the early seasons but that was typically just JJ helping him or telling the others to stop teasing him, deffo not enough to qualify as bffs. Whatever whatever I’m being petty they’re just another example of the show’s later issue with ‘show don’t tell’ and the writers running out of stuff to do with the characters
