This is a recent sketch depicting the MC of my Indie Game after they acquire a Legendary Pair of Winged Sandals! Those of you here that know the Greek myths already know!

The Markings on the MC’s hands, faced and body are a kind of scarring left behind after a traumatic event in his past. They are also directly associated with the MCs innate magic abilities.

In my Indie Game, Merchanted, there are 10 Main Continents across the globe to discover and venture through, each with their own rich history and myths that are all part of one bigger narrative, despite how divided it all seems at a glance.

A world in a state of inner chaos and disarray. A hero is needed to save give solace, a dying planet.

While finding inspiration for writing stories, I like to take the concepts and ideas I have and sometimes I’ll scribble up large-scale visuals of those concepts to get the ideas flowing for new stories. This here is sort of a collage of different characters and elements from my story meant to represent a timeline of events regarding these characters and some others that are well known to the story, just not in this context. Id like to start talking about the main plot soon, but I wonder what questions talk have about the world build? I could go off on any random topic but I’d like to know what parts of world building interests all of you!

This is Merc, a mage whose main weapon of choice is the glowing golden orb in his right hand. He’s also the MC of the game I’m developing in unreal engine.

Merc will learn all the World’s magic and powerful skills to save his breaking and dying world.

These two have gone through a lot of design changes while coming up with concepts for my game, Merchanted, but I think I’ve finally landed on design references that I think are best to use going forward. ☀️🐉

Doodling these two always inspires me to imagine the more significant events in the story, and soon I’ll have my intro animation complete to introduce everyone properly to the world I’m building for my game Merchanted.
