Here’s something I like to think about: everyone knows something you don’t. Every single person on this planet that you might encounter, knows - at the very least - one thing that they could teach you. We have all lived (and are living) suck vastly different lives, just think of the stories to be told. The next time you’re sitting next to that old man on the bus, or waiting in line behind that young girl, or simply visiting a relative - ask them questions. Get to know them, find out what they’ve done, where they’ve been, who they’ve loved. You never know what you might learn.
