you have some work with genderbender and some work with fem!Aaron, and i was wondering if you had any ideas for fem!Kevin?

What kind of ideas do you mean?

I’ve written several fem!Kev works with sapphic KevAaron 🙂‍↕️

I have thought about fem!Kev/Aaron but the dynamic wasn’t as fun to me because sexism 😔 I know they’d constantly be asking her stupid ass questions like what does her husband think of her gallivanting around the country playing games (proud as fuck, watches them all, comes out to see her when he can, wears her jersey 💗), and there would definitely be stupid media outlets that refer to her as a doctor’s wife (again, absolute simp Aaron Day is like actually no you got it wrong, I’m Kevin Day’s husband 😒).

I think similar to fem!Aaron/Kevin they acknowledge their attraction a lot earlier but due to that don’t have the same relationship/understanding of each other, which makes it messier when they come together. I think Aaron is very smitten though 🙂‍↕️ Aaron & fem Kevin is probably the easiest dynamic of them for him to accept that he really likes her and gets obviously flustered around her and has a harder time hiding it and is genuinely nicer to her off the bat because of his stupid crush (which she doesn’t initially trust and leads to more friction between them but that only feeds the tension)

Andrew moving her into their dorm is the worst thing that’s happened to him. What do you mean Kevin is just wandering around all sleepy with tousled hair in the morning. Just coming out of the bathroom with a towel around her because the thought of privacy doesn’t even occur after the Nest. Is doing stretches in their kitchen in tiny running shorts and falling asleep on one of the beanbags lit by the glow of her laptop screen as she watches yet another exy match. How is this fair??? A girl should not be in their dorm!!! Especially not Kevin Day!!!

Kevin so fresh from the Nest will always think it’s just about sex and they’re just using each other as an outlet, whereas Aaron is always all in with feelings, but would be more hesitant of Andrew since this flies quite directly in the face of the No Girlfriend rule… and with Kevin trailing Andrew like his little pet it’s not exactly easy for them to get much time alone before Neil rocks up on scene

I think it takes the really difficult moments for Kevin - Ravens changing districts, the Kathy incident, the banquet fallout - for her to realise there’s more there. Because Andrew proactively protects her, but Aaron is the quiet rock of support in the emotional aftermath, and what is he getting from that? He has no deal with Kevin. He asks for nothing in return. He sits with her and makes sure she’s okay and offers her distraction, and he doesn’t try to kiss her or fuck her, and slowly it starts to occur to her that this might be one of those relationships she’s heard about that people outside the Nest have, and she’s not sure how she feels about that.

(Let’s not talk about how badly Aaron takes it when he finds out Kevin low-key still might ?? be something ?? with her ex-Raven boyfriend… and he may have been a placeholder all this time…)

Hmmmm since he and Kevin were thrown together quite early the interest would have been there before he met Katelyn, but I can see KateAaron besties and the other Foxes still betting on them dating because they share loads of classes and chat outside practice and study together. Kevin will be absolutely seething with jealousy when Aaron brings Katelyn to a banquet, not realising it’s platonic.

Sexually I think Aaron focuses on Kevin a lot more than she’s used to. There was so little time/privacy in the Nest, everything was rushed, frantic passion, taking what they could and focusing on their own pleasure with the limited time they had. Whereas I think Aaron is very much committed to pleasing his partner, and will take his time to learn her and please her before himself. Which is initially what keeps Kevin coming back. It’s another outlet that’s easier to bounce back from than drinking and gives her hand a break when she’s over exerted it too much for the court.

Once they finally settle into their relationship their dynamic won’t be much different than how I’d usually portray them. Kevin is already Aaron’s haughty spoiled diva passenger princess. It doesn’t matter what version of Kevin Day exists, that’s a universal fact, not a gendered one. Aaron will still do the cooking and majority of the housework because he’s just generally better at it. They are just my version of KevAaron but silly external people will make different assumptions about them because they’re straight passing (still bi4bi though Aaron won’t be forced to grapple with that fact as directly lmao 🙂‍↕️)

If you were asking if I have any specific AU ideas of them, not really atm 🙂‍↕️

Aaron - medschool/residency?

Kevin - pro

Dylan asks Aaron out. Aaron has already said he doesn’t have a gf, panics, says he has a bf. Didn’t want to hurt Dylan’s feelings or ruin their friend group. Katelyn asks Aaron who his bf is, and since she knows Aaron doesn’t really talk to anyone outside of their group, Aaron once again panics and says Kevin.

“Aw, you always did have a crush on him.”

“What are you talking about? No I didn’t.”

“You’re dating him now, why are you getting so defensive?”

Enter Kevin. Agrees to be Aaron’s date to a party. Aaron says they can use his busy schedule as an excuse for why he’s not around much, and then he’ll pretend they broke up down the line.

Except photos get leaked to the media, outing Kevin. Instead of the career suicide he expects, he actually gets positive feedback. His PR rep encourages him to bring Aaron to a charity gala for a children’s mental health charity, thinking it could be positive rep for the kids to see a happy older queer couple as queer kids are impacted by higher numbers of mental health issues.

Aaron comes along to meet the kids too. Is natural and excellent with them where Kevin is awkward. Kevin seeing different sides of Aaron, that he hasn’t gotten to see at school or around their family.

Tipsy at the gala. Team has booked them into a single bed room under the assumption they’re a couple. Kevin concerned Aaron will be mad, but Aaron just giggling as he undresses. Kevin realising he’s physically attracted to Aaron.

I don’t usually plot too much ahead of time because I like to see where the characters take me 🙂‍↕️

Actually also one of my fave tropes and I’m surprised I’ve never done a KevAaron one!

what if aaron and kevin fake dated to hide from andrew that katelyn and aaron are actually dating and tbh kevin only agreed cause he’s in love with aaron and will take having him in any way he can even if it’s not real but because they have to fake being a couple whenever aaron goes to see kate kevin also has to come that way when andrew asks where aaron is everyone can say “oh he’s with kevin” and being the third wheel with them lowkey turns into all three of them being a couple or something idk
