Tumblr media
Hello hello it’s me. Tumblr might have destroyed the image quality but oh well. Today I’m going to introduce my new challenge “piece of cake”. The goal of this is that school will be more like a “piece of cake” after. This is a pretty simple challenge.
DISCLAIMER: I am not saying you HAVE to participate in this, must complete it, or need to work like this. This was created for myself but I’m posting it on here if some would like to join. Take care of yourself.
DAY ONE: Flour
Pick the hardest subject, class, or concept for you. Study it for an hour and a half.
Do a general study session for two hours.
Review the easiest classes, concepts, etc for 15 minutes minimum each.
Read ahead one chapter in your textbook for one class.
DAY TWO: Sugar
Set a timer for one hour.
Complete as much as you can in that hour. Start with the hardest.
Take a 15 minute break.
Study for two hours.
Take one practice test.
DAY THREE: Eggs
Study for one hour.
Study your hardest subject for an hour.
Set a timer for two hours and try to complete as much schoolwork or cover as many topics as you can in those two hours.
Make notes for one subject ahead by one chapter.
DAY FOUR: Milk
Gather all vocabulary, separated by subject. Go through all of them. Yes. All of them.
Take a practice test in your top three easiest classes. Note anything you got wrong.
Complete all remaining assignments for the week. If you’ve finished them, do homework.
Write down the top three most difficult topics you have. Study each of them individually for half an hour.
DAY FIVE: Whipped Topping
Study each subject for at least an hour.
Review notes for half an hour.
Complete three assignments.
Take one practice test.
Study two difficult topics for half an hour
For your hardest vocabulary words, make a quizlet deck. Go through it twice.
Go ahead a chapter in each textbook and take notes on vocabulary and key ideas.

★ The Language Accountability Project Invites You ★         ♢ To Join Us in a Mid-Summer Polyglot’s Dream ♢
Happy Summer from the Northern Hemisphere! (And Happy Winter to the Southern Hem!) My discord, designed to keep you accountable in achieving your language goals, is inviting you to participate in another challenge with us!
Studying in the summertime can be tricky. We have an illusion of having a large chunk of time, when suddenly it hits us - a couple rest weeks, some travel plans, spontaneous summer fun, and suddenly the season is over as quickly as it started.
Let’s face it, it can be difficult to sit down at a desk and digest grammar when taking a walk with an iced drink is so appealing.
So we’re coming at you with a portable challenge - one you can digest with your morning coffee or on a train between travels. And all it takes is three easy steps!
———————————————————————————————————
Step 1 - Find a list of the 1000 most common words in your target language. Apps like Memrise, Quizlet, Tinycards, and Anki are sure to already have sets of these. You can also find a book or article online which lists them out. Step 2 - Tackle 10 words a day. You’re sure to already know some of these words! Don’t stress out about knowing how to use them perfectly. Focus on digesting their meanings and getting acquainted with them.
Step 3 - Check in with us! We’re here to help build a community of folks who keep each other accountable for their language learning goals. Pop into our discord to jot down the words you learnt that day. Make a social media post or a video of your success and tag us with #laptop1000 so that we can see and share your efforts!
———————————————————————————————————
We hope you’ll consider joining us! We look forward to lots of fun learning. And, if you want to join the discord, head on over! We assign new language accountability partners at the start of every month and we want more people to sign up.
