A Humanitarian Appeal from a Grieving Mother
I am Hanadi from Gaza, the mother of a family of five. Our house was bombed, and in an instant, my daughter was lost under the rubble. My second daughter was seriously injured, resulting in the amputation of her leg.

We are living in extremely difficult conditions today, and we need urgent assistance to secure treatment and provide for our basic needs after we have lost everything.

Imagine this:
You once had a warm, safe home filled with love and comfort. Your children laughed and played with their favorite toys, cuddled in their cozy beds, and wore clothes that kept them warm through the seasons. But now, all of it—your home, your children’s comfort, and your family’s security—has been reduced to nothing but memories.

Story written by @visionsofaselfmademan
For Rana Abdul-Jawad, a wife and mother of four from Gaza, this is her heartbreaking reality. Her beautiful home, once a haven of joy, was destroyed, leaving her and her children in a torn and worn-out tent. They now face the unrelenting cold of winter with no warm clothes, no covers, and no reprieve. Her children shiver through each moment, vulnerable to illness from the freezing temperatures, and struggle to survive the harsh conditions.
Recently, the winter rain storms have flooded their fragile tent, soaking everything inside. Rana has spent entire nights desperately trying to stabilize it against the wind and rain, fearing it might collapse entirely. Despite her efforts, the tent cannot properly shield her family from the bitter cold or the relentless rain.

Image: Rana's tent, flooded with rain and barely holding up under the heavy winter rain storms.
Rana’s family needs your help. The soaring prices caused by war have made basic necessities like clothes and blankets unaffordable.
Rana’s plea is simple yet profound: “Please, save my children.”

Images: Rana's beloved children.
Your donation, no matter how small, can bring warmth, comfort, and hope to this family. It can mean the difference between enduring the cold and finding safety and security in these desperate times. Let’s stand together to help Rana’s children find warmth and peace again.
You can donate to Rana's GoFundMe [HERE].

What drives me to go get food is not being able to provide enough food to feed my children.
and you would think the chances of dying are so high that people would refuse to go there, but then i think about if people in my family, especially children, were crying from hunger in front of me i would not hesitate to go. and i also remember this essay, about hunger. you would do anything to end it, including take your chances with unseen, sadistic israeli soldiers lying in wait with their snipers ready.

I am Raghada Ghoneim, married and I have four children. We live here in a very difficult situation. My husband is unemployed. We have no income. We have no one to help us. I am very sick. I have to do a very dangerous operation, which is the removal of the uterus because of the presence of large fatty bags that may explode at any time and cause blood poisoning, so I ask you to help us to save the family from hunger and save me before anything bad happens. Every donation if $50 will help. We now live in tents. Our situation is very difficult.

Hello, I'm Shahd from Gaza.
I was born in 2006.
I got married a year before the war.
My husband, my daughter, my mother-in-law, and my uncle and I lived in a house before it was bombed.
We were happy until the war broke out.
The war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

Here, hell began for us in Gaza. We lost our home and became homeless. My husband had nothing, and I had nothing.
My husband, his family, and I were displaced to the southern Gaza Strip for 15 months. I didn't go with her. Those were months of longing for my mother and brothers who were in northern Gaza.
My brothers Ahmed and Abdullah remained in the northern Gaza Strip. We were displaced several times because I live in Rafah, a border area close to the army.
During our displacement, we left the house and ran down the road to escape the shells and planes. Then came the thunderbolt. The shock was that death was faster than my brothers could escape... Here, here, we lost our loved ones. I lost my brothers, the apple of my eye, Ahmed. Ahmed left no children. And my mother is in pain because they departed to God without saying goodbye, without a kiss on their foreheads, a farewell kiss. After a while, we returned home. The house was severely damaged by demolition and the falling of stones from their places, which sheltered and protected us. Now, nothing protects us except some worn-out candles that do not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. Our suffering is great, but with your help, we may reach a better and more dignified life. I appeal to you to help me support myself, my mother, my loved ones, and my family. What you provide makes a difference in our lives as individuals. We live in a world that has forgotten the meaning of humanity and giving. May God bless you all. Please help me help my family. Anything you provide, even if it is small, will mean a lot to me. Please donate to me.

"Save our lives before we lose everything..💔
I am Mohammed from Gaza, and I am now living in an unbearable hell. Before the war, I lived in hope. I dreamed of becoming a father despite the pain, and of being able to fulfill my dream of having children after a long battle with illness.

I fought for this dream and paid everything I had—all my money and all my hope—so I could have a child.

But... the war came and destroyed everything. It destroyed my home, it destroyed the hope I had, it destroyed all the treatment I had spent everything I had on it, and it destroyed my long-awaited dream.

Today, we live in a dilapidated tent with 20 other people, in harsh conditions that no one can bear. No food, no water, no medicine, no healthcare... nothing but death looming on the horizon every day.

My parents, who suffer from severe heart conditions, cannot access treatment. I see them on the brink of death, and I am helpless in the face of them. With every passing moment, their suffering increases, and with every moment I stand before them, I feel as if I am dying with them, unable to help them.

I am here today, writing to you, asking for nothing but life. I am writing to you as I watch my family dying in front of me, helpless to save them.
Please, is anyone listening? Can anyone help us? We are living in hell, and with every passing minute, we are getting closer to death. We are in dire need of food, water, medicine, and urgent treatment. If you don't help us now, we may lose everything
Help us before we lose hope in this world!
