there's like. a key difference in thirsting for a villian and thirsting for a character who's just...a bad person. the things a villian does are bad but they're fictionalized and dramatized and mostly unrealistic. it feels acceptable to like them because while they may destroy the world they'd never harm a hair on your head.

thirsting for a character who's just potrayed as bad in the....human sense. feels very ick to me. the flaws are too realistic. they have the vibe of someone who'd say a slur and treat their partner like shit and you...like that? it makes me side eye idk.
