Story idea

Okay but what about a story that is set during time periods where kingdoms etc were a thing (but not historically accurate cuz fck that) and 2 kingdoms wanted to join together so they crown princes of the two kingdoms were forced to marry each other who are also each other's rivals. One kingdom has elves while the other has a different mythical species who change gender(genitals) if they're mate is of the same gender.

I.e two women together so the more dominant one will develop male genitalias

And vise versa.

So knowing this fact, the mythical creature (ish) one is married off to the elven empire's crown prince (reminder that they both hate each other) and for appearances sake they have to pretend to like each other and "support" each other. When the mythical one goes through changes to have female anatomy (it's a brutal process) , the elf is with him in their chambers cuz they need to pretend to be supportive of each other and is a bit shocked at how brutal the process is.

Following this incident, since it's the time period is very old, obviously men don't know much about period, discharge, cramps etc and now that mythical creature guy has female anatomy, he has to navigate these things and the elf guy also witnesses and helps his spouse and they both learn about how women have to go through such hell etc.

The story is just about the elf guy helping his spouse out with the new changes the best he can while panicking internally whenever his spouse suffers from cramps etc and the story ends with him establishing better education of female anatomy and making periods and other stuff no longer a hush hush topic lol.

This story is in scrap mode so it's shitty af

I'd also like to note since I worded stuff badly that the mythical creature person is still a man (ig) just now with a uterus instead of cock and balls because it's more character development wise if both are men and now one is suffering from female problems while the other is witnessing it all happen and has to help his partner out.

Edit +TW: what if there was also a scene where the mythical creature guy (I srsly need a name for his species, I forgot the biological term for this shit but ik clown fishes also change gender like this) almost got raped at some point and the elf guy saves him and that's when both of them have the actual moment of clarity of how women are treated in their world(?). I'm probably contradicting myself in many places but I just wanted to write it all down before I forgot.

I finally gave in and started watching dungeon meshi so I will give my thoughts on each episode I watch.

Episode 4

Firstly, let's start with Laios (MC), I've been watching him for 4 episodes now and he's extremely smart. I don't understand why the fandom portrays him like a man-baby?? Everytime I've seen popular dungeon meshi stuff pop-up on my feed, laios is represented in such a different light lol. I think correct representation is important because I literally didn't watch Dungeon meshi because I thought it'd be bad from the stuff that I saw about the characters.

Secondly, Marcille (the elf mage) , I've realized, I really like her lol. I love how she changes her hair-style a lot and I think she has the most realistic personality (if we were stuck with food like that, I'm sure we'd have the same reaction). When she argued with the orc>>>> Girl has priorities and will not let someone teach the newer generation a biased view.

Senshi (the dwarf) POOKIE AF. HE DOES THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE APPRECIATED MORE. HE KEEPS THE BATHROOMS CLEAN IN THE DUNGEON, TRADES ETC, I LOVE THIS GUY SO MUCH UGHHHH.

Not much about Chilchuck(the Picklock) this time but he has learned cooking lol.

Overall, I just realized just how homey the dungeon is and I love this type of vibe. This feels like a found family trope so I love the anime>>>>

I'd like to start with *ahem ahem* WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "FIRST DEATH"??? MARCILLE'S FIRST DEATH WAS BY A SLIME AND LAIOS'S FIRST DEATH WAS BY AN ARMOR? IS THIS NECROMANCY??

secondly, finally doing commentary on Laios (MC) :

I didn't expect it but he's actually kinda smart and strong. He can make quick judgement and he gives off that "big brother understanding" vibe. When Marcille was blaming chilchuck for losing laios's sword decoration, he immediately corrected it and said it was not chilchuk's fault.

Something I liked about this episode is that it showed that even Senshi(dwarf) isn't willing to try new food like that either. When they cooked the slugs(?), Senshi was full on supporting Marcille and Chilchuck, telling Laios to try the food first since he was the one who brought up the idea of eating them.

Lastly

I saw Senshi's underwear before Marcille's. Big improvement+++

I finally gave in and started watching dungeon meshi so I will give my thoughts on each episode I watch.

Episode 1

Episode 2

Firstly, let's start of with Marcille(I'm not sure it's her name but I'm talking about the elf-mage) once again.

So far she has not been sexualized and she has a very real-ish personality for that situation. Especially considering she's a mage. If I were there, I would have also been disgusted and start complaining like she did because let's be honest, eating snake monster eggs? It sounds kinda disgusting.

I can also sympathize with her feeling like a burden. Her personality in this episode reminded me of one specific incident that happened with me where I went with to a waterfall with my family and I was whining a lot because of how slippery and dangerous (ish) the area was but I also felt like a burden for being so whiny. I feel like marcille's personality is quite real (I don't know how to explain this).

Next, the Picklock boy (I still haven't learned his name lol). My opinion about him stays the same, he has the most humane personality out of them all. Extremely complex, in one moment he supports the MC, in another he supports Marcille. I also like how he has the "I'm working rn" personality where his demeanor changes depending on whether HE is working or not or his area of expertise.

Senshi (the dwarf) he is a bit of an odd-ball so far but he seems to always acknowledge his mistakes and very open minded. When he realised Marcille's method was much better for flavor than his, he accepted his mistake and apologized to Marcille. When he realized the Picklock boy was much better at finding traps etc, and acknowledged that, letting him do the work. But he also drew a fine line on where his expertise and Picklock boy's expertise clash as well. Bro is 🤌🤌. One thing to add to this as well is the fact that he cares about health a lot, like a lot. When he gave advice to the newer adventurers or when he told Marcille the reason she was having cravings was because of lack of fat, he seemed like a genuinely caring person.

The MC didn't do much in this episode but I was literally kicking my feet in the air when he asked Marcille why she did what she did and tried to understand her perspective (communication is key guys 🤌🤌🤌🤌) He explained to Marcille that everyone has different jobs and it's okay to have weaknesses in certain areas in a very understanding way and even made the Picklock boy apologize to her. Overall, as a character, I fxking love this guy, he gives off fatherly vibes but as an MC, I can't judge him yet cause he hasn't done much so far?

I love how even though there is a female lead with the classic trope of "mage", she isn't sexualized. She falls down or gets upside down a lot like other female mages in anime except she actually wears pants :D like finally! Common sense that wearing full pants is better in a dungeon that being half naked! Also when she is upside down, it doesn't look sexual at all

Another thing to note is she actually has a rather normal scream not that "KYAA" scream like anime girls. Notable when she stumbled on the bridge.

Moving onto the other characters, I love the picklock boy. He is like a normal person with different opinions, he sometimes agrees with the girl, sometimes with the MC. Bro is smart.

I love the MC and the dwarf dude, I can't give a deep analysis on them yet

After reading ch 261,i find it so frustrating cause I realized gojo was never known as gojo satoru, but rather as "the strongest". People treat him like a tool, he has no end. Even in death, he is being used. Gojo was simply defined by his strength and it shaped his entire identity. Remember that one moment where everyone talks about their opinions on gojo and in the end everyone says the same/similar thing that " He is the strongest ", now I know actually what that meant. Everyone around gojo defined him by his strength as well and I find it so fricking sad TvT
