Field Trip To Yesterday City: DAY 3
The usual stuffs. Same breakfast, same work, same lunch...but this time I went by myself, more work...like really a lot of work and it was raining a little. So, it was difficult to not to get our papers wet, I bought dinner...it was good...until I found out the next morning, it gave me a terrible stomachache. Anyway, there was no meeting, so I'd wasted a few hours at night, playing board games alone and then, play a picturless rpg game in the computer until I went to sleep.
....Since there's not much to say about Day 3, here's some more photos of Yesterday City.

Field Trip To Yesterday City: DAY 2
~Woke up in the morning---like 6 o'clock or something~
Nah, I don't feel like parodying a song now haha.
Anyway, yeah I woke up earlier than the sun and I assumed that breakfast buffet haven't served yet. So, I used some time going online. Well, I used my phone credit to gain internet access and it was nearly half empty. Once it's time to go, I took a bath and went down to the lobby for breakfast. Of course it wasn't set in the lobby *laughs*. There was an underground floor which happens to be a dining floor. Breakfast was awesome and delicious. Fried rice, scramble egg, grilled sausages and baked beans....toasted bread that's been spreaded with butter, marmalade and strawberry jams...tea and orange juice.....mmmm, lovely. *smiles*
We went back to the heritage house to continue our work. Then, came the problem: I've lost a friend's precious measuring tape. His face seemed calm but very mad, I knew after I told the truth. So, the day was full of sadness, nervous, confused, and afraid. One time I felt like I'm crying inside and I wanted it out.
However, I still have an empty stomach despite all of those negative emotions. I ate lunch and it was cheaply delicious! It's better than my mother's cooking *laughs a little* Just kidding. After that, I couldn't do my work properly because I got very tired for some reason. Fortunately, I was able to finish them so i could do sketches of the old Chinese house.
This time, I'm not lost! I was able to get on our field trip bus back to the hotel. When we got back, I went straight to the game room because the last time I had my friend's measuring tape was during the group meeting last night in the game room and I had the measuring tape in my pocket. I searched every place I sat and stand, and found the measuring tape hidden inside a seat. I gave it to my friend, afterward. I was glad he wasn't mad at me anymore.
We had supper at the lecturer's friend's house who happens to be an architect as well and is best known in renovating heritage houses and old buildings. Anyway, I didn't like most of the dishes on the buffet table. They were made out of vegetables, one type of food I truly disgust with. One dish was like a burrito....but with veggies and omellette eggs in the fillings. Another one was a french bread with tomatoes sliced into small cubes. I should have took more of those french breads with tuna.
The place we ate was near the historical river and the whole landscape almost looked like a mixed of Paris and Venice, Italy....but with Gangnam Style disturbing the beautiful nightlights. There was the Eiffel Tower(telecommunication tower in actual) and the Notre Dame(Professor X's church...I'm not kidding. The name of the church is really Charles Xavier Church) and the river of Venice.
Despite how romantically beautiful it is, I felt lonely when everyone was talking some fun stuffs I don't know...don't get it to be precise, near the landscape.
After all of that, I just went straight to bed. I was really, really tired....oh wait, I did mention that before. *laughs a little*

Field Trip To Yesterday City: DAY 1
As an architecture student, I had a field trip to Yesterday City of Malaysia we called Malacca. I used to went there with my family whenever the year is good. There were so much awesome memories in this place when I was a kid. But now, half of the city has been commercialized a lot: high-rise buildings, shopping complexes, hotels and almost nothing here could be proud of as a Malaysian myself.
Anyway, I don't want to start talking about those stuffs because this blog has nothing to do with...those. This field trip was for our project, in which we need to make a full documentation and report of a chosen heritage building in group (obviously). This includes the full measurement of the whole parts of the building such as the ceilings, the walls, the doors, the windows and the permanent ornaments. Our heritage building is a very old Chinese residential two-storey house in Jonker Street.
When we (me and my coursemates) reached to Malacca, we went straight to the house instead of checking-in our hotel rooms the lecturer already provided. It was a hot weather in the city, by the way. So, those without hats would sweat a lot and are blinded by the ray of the sun. After the bus stop at this place I'd like to called "Our Bus Stop" (picture on the upper left), we had to walk to the house. The streets were crowded with tourists from both locals and overseas, and a lot of souvenir street shops....and trishaws too.
This place has always been filled with overly decorated trishaws (though, I had to admit most of the decorations were pretty impressive and beautiful....like this picture on the bottom left). Anyway, as we arrived and entered the house, I knew I wasn't the only one who smelled the scent of a burning incense, even when we went further into the house. But later in time, the scent would soon go away. Besides, it wasn't as bad as breathing in cigarette smokes.
We went for lunch after visiting the house and it was very expensively good. It wasn't the best meal but I guess it's worth it. Then, we went to the hotel for check-in, put our luggages in our hotel room and prepare all the important tools for the measuring and documenting.
I was still tired since this morning but I had some laughs with my friends (who mostly I don't know their names). I also had sadness feeling a few times. The reasons were that I became too anti-social with my friends, I couldn't talk to girls very well, I got a bit jealous when guys made my friend (who is a girl) who I had a love affection with laughed very happily, and I missed talking with my beautiful friends online (especially her...).
After for Day 1 work, we could go back to the hotel or just wandering around the flee night market. They did say that the bus will come again at 7 o'clock in the evening, so I went into the crowded market, alone. A few hours later, I noticed I was pretty lost in this big town full of heritage buildings and I couldn't even remember the name of the hotel. Luckily, my friend who I had an affection with helped me a little. I took her advise and take a taxi to the hotel. Unfortunately, I hadn't had dinner yet so I was gonna sleep with a growling worm monster in my stomach *laughs*.

Ghost Story: Ohaguro Bettari
Legend tells that there was a woman who wore a bride's Kimono wandering around the temple almost every night. Three drunken men were walking unsteadily, laughing and talking out loud to each other along the road. As they passed by a temple's gate, they saw the woman who wore a bride's Kimono giggled in such a cute way. From the back, she looked so beautiful and irresistable. The men couldn't help but desire to see her face. As she went further into the temple, they started chasing after her until the end of the temple, where they found the woman sat on the ground alone. They walked slowly towards her and as they turned her around....it was the Ohaguro Bettari!!

Ghost Story: Rokurokubi
This one is a bit hard to tell the story since there were tons of alternative sides of the story (and each are differ from one another, so it was confusing to re-read this again.) So, I'll tell you the first story which I think is a bit make sense...to me, at least. You know what's interesting? Most ghosts, spirits and monsters were actually females, or rather have a feminine side in the Japanese folklores (samurais, warriors and soldiers were also ghosts' preferred form). I always wonder if this was like a test to men who are known (stereotypically) for their....douchebaggery. In the old days, men weren't....beautiful like today (come on, we all had to accept that fact. Justin Bieber, One Direction, and all J-pop/K-pop groups). They were very, very, very manly, dominant, tough, strong, and some can be a little weak-minded. But because of these characteristics, they were also known for being bloodthirsty, womanizers, rude and terrible drunkers. And usually, this kind of men were always the victim to get their kimonos wet. There were this couples and eventhough they only met not so long ago, they were very attached to each other. And although the woman knows her lover as a terrible drunker, she still loved him. But as their bond grew stronger, the man grew weaker for unknown reason yet the man never noticed at all. Then on one night, the man came back home late at night just like always. Usually, he will get drunk on the way home. But this time, he wasn't in the mood of drinking sake. As the man entered the room to cuddled with his lover, the man jumped, frightened, shouted as he saw a very long snake with a human head who looked like his lover\'s face, only scarier and more horrifying . The woman was actually a Rokurokubi. And unfortunately, as her lover knew her true identity (without being drunk), she had no choice but to eat him. And now, she left the house abandoned and lead a new life, searching for another lover to satisfy her wants and needs.
