Jennifer Saints novel Hera is truly remarkable in so many ways that it became to a point where I could not put this book down.If you want a beautifully written retelling of a goddess who has been villaized by men for centuries, this book will show you differently. In Hera it feels like you are actually talking to Hera and shes telling her story and how for centuries her story has been wrong.
I have always felt Hera was such a misunderstood. Character in Greek Mythology. When I read it for the first time at 10 years old I always felt so bad for her.It feels like she was cursed to be a goddess of marriage by a husband who didn't really follow through with fidelity.Though I must say im sure there was a healthier way to deal with your husband in that sense.Overall this story really told Hera in this wonderful light that makes it unique and beautiful. In some ways im sure Hera is in us all.

*Little note my review has some spoilers so if you have not read Elektra by Jennifer Saint then keep scrolling g these are just my thoughts on the book. You have been warned!*
Elektra was such a moving story in my opinion.I am a big fan of Jennifer Saints works and cant wait to read more from her.She has a phenomenal writing style that makes you feel emotional even for the most despicable characters in her books.I adored all three women's pov in the story Elektra(of course) was a total bad ass throughout the story,Clymenestra who did so many questionable things to protect her children,Cassandra I really felt for.
With Elektra she goes from this frail sickly girl to being a woman who will kick ass and take names. This woman can hold a vengeance and believe in her father who she believed was a good man and father. To hating Clymenestra and to give up everything to get away from her mother and stepfather. This woman survives so much loss and heartbreak that she and her brother enact their vengeance and live peacefully afterward.
Clymenestra I do believe she was trying to protect her children even if to me it was very selfish and always forgot her other children.I see why she was so full of rage after her first husband Agamemnon kills her thats rage fuel for any mother who watches her chid die at the hands of a man and husband who shes supposed to believe will keep them safe. Its honestly understandable that she'd be fueled by rage and vengeance.
Cassandra,my favorite character in the whole novel.I really felt for Cassandra because she was just someone who wanted to serve a god only to feel betrayed by said God with a cruel curse and to not be believed by anyone around her and to read that and basically watch what she goes through is absolutely heartwrenching.I cried over her death because she just wanted to escape her fate and to rest in peace and free.It honestly stomped and shattered my heart to pieces.
Overall I loved this book as a whole and camt wait to read Jennifer Saints other novel Hera!

This story was absolutely wonderfully written,it told Ariadnes story both in a beautiful way but also respectfully.I was so enthralled by Ariadnes story from start to finish i couldn't put this book down it had me in a choke hold.I absolutely adore Jennifer Saints writing style and they way Ariadne spoke through her was so wonderful it was like Ariadne herself was writing this.
This book should be picked up and read at least once.It has become a favorite of mine that I have read by Jennifer Saint. The way she tells the story of women in Greek Mythology is so wonderful and refreshing to me.I just could not put this book down afraid I'll miss the story it felt like a comforting hug, like coming home and drinking wine with the God,Dionysus and walking the beaches of Naxos. Its like this book became my little haven. Please pick up this book and read it,it is so amazing.

I've been reading ariadne by Jennifer saint and im halfway through. Its very interesting and I adore Ariadne as a main character. She is the epitome of what female strength looks like when told by a woman. It honestly gives her justice and doesn't make her look like a villan or a monster.

Here are my thoughts on the novel Atalanta by Jennifer Saint.
Okay so there is a lot to unpack here with this book probably to much so I will keep it short.Atalanta by Jennifer Saint was such an emotional and feminist rage story and I fell in love with it.This book will leave you with so many emotions Pride, sadness, anger, and relief with a sweet ending. This was my first Jennifer Saint novel and I plan to read more of her work die to my love for greek mythology.I will keep on reading her books.
